Surely this passage didn't exist on tablets that have been around since before time. I mean, why would Allah feel the need to talk about one specific guy's dining habits in his book that is meant to be eternal? It doesn't make sense.

What doesn't make sense?

Post the verse number 33:53 not an insulting image.
Also, this verse is directly applicable in fiqh so I see no problem here.

At one point /pol/ made a big deal about that verse so I thought about it for a while. For one thing chapter 33 talks a lot about relationships especially concerning prophet muhammad (pbuh) but it all pertains to people in general through application of fiqh, like you said. As for the ayah 33:53 specifically, I think they confuse shyness and autism in a similar way to how they confuse showing some mercy and forgiveness with being a cuck… if nothing else, they should understand that an important leader with many responsibilities would be hindered if his followers didn't respect his privacy and were intent on chatting and making small talk with him all the time.

Part of the greatness of the Quran is that it preserves the final revelation to the final prophet. That's huge insight into the entirety of and indeed the finale of the Prophetic age. And part of the greatness of Muhammad pbuh is that everything in his life had major significance. You're just one specific guy, Prophet Muhammad pbuh is the final prophet of Allah. I care about his dining habits, guy.

This verse and also the verse "abasa wa tawala" are what trinnies would call criterion of embarrassment. Yet they try to use them against Islam.
