My biggest issue with hypno is that there's so much computer voiced stuff. I get that should be about the content more than a sexy female voice, and that a monotonous computer voice could really work well with hypnotism given a well written script but for me personally it just does nothing for me.
I want to grab some stuff from a share but I have no clue which authors are robo voice and which aren't. So annoying.

I'm the opposite. I've listened to hypno so long that every real-voiced hypno just sounds like some amateur attention-whore's attempt to break into voice acting. I much prefer tts where the focus is on the content. And as tts software gets better and better, eventually it's sound quality will outmatch naturally-voiced content. As for the quantity of tts files vs natural-voiced files, I'm guessing you aren't aware of GWA where like 50 free files are posted a day, but they don't even allow TTS voices.
But you are right that it is difficult to sort through the sea of files among file sharing groups when all you have to go by sometimes are the file names. At least the ones that come with the author's names are easy enough to look up whether they're TTS or not.

I used to hate text-to-speech hypnosis when it sounded only slightly better than the ancient 1970s synthetic voice software that Stephen Hawking used but it's come a long way over the past decade and most TTS files of the sort I listen to these days are properly paced when the ones from a decade ago often just sounded like someone just dumped a text file straight into a reader app without the necessary pauses or rising/falling intonations.
