Yeah, as someone who ALWAYS lucid dreams to a level of complete alternate reality, trance is very different. Dreaming is about Control. Trance is about letting go of control. I've done the dreaming thing for 40+ years and only started hypno about 2 years ago. I have only recently begun to even touch deep hypnosis. It feel MUCH different than light trances.
I've dropped deep mainly from "drone" style stuff that empties you out and uses repetition in a brainwashy style. Haven't had luck with any triggers, except maybe once or twice, and never reliably. It can take lots of time to learn to switch from dream master to trance master.
Don't fear the trance, that's the first thing to get over. In fact, if you master trance, you may be able to handle your SP better. I've only had SP a few times and it feels a LOT like a deep trance with eyes open.

I mean if you can lucid dream whats the point of even listening to hypno? So many files are about experiencing effects or body alterations that are impossible in reality and you can only really "imagine" them and get something vague depending on level of trance, while in a lucid dream (especially a WILD where you have full dream control and awareness) you can fully experience them and will them without needing any hypnosis
If I could be that dream master too I would not bother with 乃卂爪乃丨 sleep or 片ヨ工 or any other files, because ultimately what's possible in hypnosis audios pales in comparison to what's possible in lucid dreaming.
Interestingly enough though there is some intersection between trance and lucid dreaming, especially regarding the WILD method and hypnagogic states.

I have a feeling that hypnosis helps me to become a lucid dreamer (I'm not one yet). We should focus more on trancing at specific points in time where we find out that hypnagogia is more likely to happen (protocol!), e.g., those derived from the WBTB method where WILD is more likely to happen, but also without cutting your sleep. If we experience these cognitive states more often, get to know them and get over our fear of sleep paralysis, I think we can actively promote WILD. This should even be an advantage towards people who aren't concerned with hypnosis.

Yeah that's a good idea. I forced myself even out of deep trance states until recently so getting over fear of trance and being able to let go and experience it should hopefully help with my even deeper fear of SP
Also some people describe really deep levels of trance as being like lucid dreams in themselves which I suspect could be a person reaching WILD through deep trance and being entirely unaware of it and it basically becomes a guided lucid dream that follows the course of the hypno you are listening to, which sounds awesome - but it could also just be very vivid mental visualizations while you are still consciously awake (just in an altered state of consciousness) as something similar happened to me when I was doing mindfulness meditation one time and a very vivid scene just started playing right in front of me like I was watching a movie, coherent and vivid and nothing like my usual vague visualizations, but I wasn't lucid dreaming and was still awake, so either of these is a possibility.
I wanna be able to do WILD and WBTB without needing the aid of hypnosis files to reach that trance/SP state too though, eventually.
