For decades we've been stuck trading and talking about the files of some greedy bitches who probably hate us and only make shit they deem profitable. We have our own hypnotists, sure, but they can't make shit because no one likes male hypnotist voices and TTS isn't well-liked either. Unless we gain some sort of self-sufficiency, some way for anons to satisfy our own wants without going prison gay, hypnosis culture is dictated by women with microphones and paypigs with low standards. Without it, we have basically no say and hypnofaggotry will stagnate like this forever.
So how do we become more self-sufficient? I have two suggestions for those without hypnotist GFs (aka everyone): the first is self-hypnosis and the second is either a N1mj4-style script reader or twine hypnosis sessions.
>Self-hypnosis
It's a lot easier than you'd think. You can give yourself exactly the kind of hypnosis session you want and if you have trouble trusting voicethot hypnotists (who can blame you?) you'll probably trance easier for yourself. Sure, it doesn't completely scratch that itch of someone else hypnotizing you but you gain so much that it's absolutely worth it even if you already have a hypnotist or listen to files, since you can re-enforce their conditioning or make OC.
Project Gutenberg has a great little book on it at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/22814 if you're interested which you should be, I was fucking blown away at how easy this shit is.
>Hypnosis scripts
Text hypnosis isn't super glamorous either, but it's still effective and doesn't need a woman's voice. Any anon who knows a little about hypnosis or self-hypnosis can shit out a script and even lazy fucks who know jack shit can paste in someone else's induction. This is enough for some people, but maybe a little too barebones for others. This leads to…
>Hypnosis script reader format/program
Ever tried N1mj4's interactive induction scripts? He has this nifty web program at https://hypno.nimja.com/script where you pick titles and pronouns for you and the hypnotist, then open one of his scripts with it. The web program will read out the script line by line, advancing as the user clicks a button, and occasionally offering multiple choices for branching hypnosis sessions. If we had a standard, plaintext format for these, anons could easily make and share these inductions and run them through a N1mj4-style interpreter. This could be anything from a simple bash script to a desktop program or even a javascript program on this website.
This has a lot of potential, but needs a standard format and several interpreter programs to take off. Organizing an induction could also get overly complicated if an anon tried making a choose your own adventure-tier interactive hypnosis script. A well-designed format could help, but there's one option loads of tumblrites and other lazy fucks with no programming experience already use. That's right, it's:
>Twine hypnosis
Twine is the standard program for today's hypertext fiction, like Depression Quest and other gay shit no one cares about. It's piss easy, so piss easy that there's only one reason you'd want a different script format: Twine exports stories as web pages instead of plaintext files, so you have to share them through itch.io, another game site, or some file hosting service. This isn't as convenient as just posting plaintext on /hypno/ or pastebin, but it's still pretty easy.
I'd say Twine and self-hypnosis are probably our best options for now, especially since /hypno/ already has hypnotist anons. You guys have any suggestions?
