There are distinctly measurable changes in the brain for how hypnotized persons reacts to a given stimulation as opposing to persons of a control group.

Not believing it's real is one of the strongest subconscious protections against any effects.

Sadly it's also not trivial to change such belief, even if there is a strong desire for hypnosis to work for oneself.

I got it working by finding a few files, which really resonated with me (and employ decent technique), dedicating some time every other day to them, and only listening when I wasn't distracted and in the mood.

Basically prepare it as if it was a nice date with yourself and see where it goes.

Nothing has to, but everything can happen.

If you aren't ok with nothing happening, that might already be too much pressure for it to work, and still it may take some time.

So basically listen to it like a story or audio book not hypnosis.

Roughly 2/3 of erotic hypnosis has very little to do with actual hypnosis, it's just erotic shit pretending to be one. Of course, placebo can still kick in and it still can be a hot experience, but it's not really the same as real thing.

In a study that is properly conducted, some control groups will be influenced to match the symptoms, that are expected to occur, as closely as possible to verify the effectiveness as opposed to other options. If the technique under review is no better/different than traditional methods, why would anyone adopt it?
