This is kind of a weird topic and a bit complex. I've talked about it a bit on other boards, but not this specific aspect.
The short version is that I met this girl working at an arcade. She started flirting right away, I thought she was cute but initially dismissed her because she had short hair shaved on the side dyed blue and problem glasses. "Here comes tumblr" I thought, but I wasn't rude. She introduced herself with a male name, it baffled me because she was clearly female. She explained she'd had her name legally changed to a male's and was taking testosterone shots.
I sat down and talked with her, I didn't insult her but I told her how I felt about the trans thing. Asked her about her chromosomes, what exactly was male or female behavior, referenced Dennis Avner and the Die Cis Scum video and told her she was extremely pretty and feminine, with lovely hips and perky breasts. That was really all the encouragement she needed, apparently.
She did a total 180 after that, went back to a female name, started wearing skirts and growing her hair out and is even trying make up. I just thought I hit the jackpot because apparently she started this trans thing right as she became a teen and thus basically no guy would date her the entire time so she's a total virgin.
Thing is now as an adult she's trying to go to the extreme to be feminine, trying to learn how to cook and wear make up and skirts, and I definitely want to be supportive and love that I've helped her embrace being a girl, but she's so new at it and I have no idea how to help her. Like, on the one hand I like that she's trying to grow her hair long, but on the other hand… it looked really hot short, her hair's really thick. And I like the *idea* of her wearing make up on occasion, but in general I really prefer a natural look, and the few times I've seen her wear make up it's been kind of jarring somehow, like she's a little kid who got into her mom's make up, and when she puts on lipstick I don't know, my mind doesn't register it. "Well I mean, she's wearing red lipstick, and her lips look good, and I like red but… is that the right shade for her?" And the skirts well, it varies. They're really cute in some circumstances, in others they just feel sort of out of place. Maybe I need to get her some long dresses or something. I don't know.

If nothing else; 99% of the time men can solve their love-life issues with "become an actual man- get fit, act dominant, get power" (each step feeding the next). It's like the "asshole" thread. Very few women go for assholes. They go for a strong, dominant guy. If they can't find one who provides safety, they'll go for the strong, dominant guy whose more "risky & exciting". Again- lack of decent men in her area.
The reason women go for "assholes"- is because that guy is an asshole to other, weaker men. He mocks them & teases them to assert dominance. You can still do it without going overboard- but some go overboard to cover up for their lack of power or dominance. In turn, women go for those guys- if they can't find a real alpha.
Going back to OP's dilemma, I'd say the best way to help make her the "best average" woman she wants to be is be the "best average" man. She's going for the floating plank of wood in a storm, so why not make it a full blown luxury yacht with all the bells and whistles she deserves? Plenty of motivation to avoid going back to old ways.
Get fit, be dominant to everyone- supportive to her, and acquire power.
And if there were more actual men around- women would be a darn sight happier to. Then- surprise surprise- hot & happy men get hot & happy women.

I'd reccommend subtle redpilling to make sure she doesn't get swayed back too easily.
