Hey /g/, anyone got an recommendations for file mounting software?

I know Daemon tools is a shit and is bundled with malware, but is Alcohol 52% any good? Any others that are free and good in regards to copy protection?

Cheers.

WinCDEmu is the better option. It's free, it works and it's here http://wincdemu.sysprogs.org/

Not really a solution but have you just tried to extract isos directly? I don't even remember the last time I've needed to mount one.

For Windows I would recommend ImgBurn.

If on Linux Brasero or K3b.

I've been meaning to ask, why do people say PowerISO is bad? Does it have malware in it, or something?

I've always used PowerISO for mounting, tell me why I shouldn't.

This.

Or on a sane operating system, just use /bin/mount

Until you want to mount anything other than .ISO.

Another vote for WinCDEmu. It's FLOSS.

Daemon Tools 3.47 has no malware sideloader, use that.

Anyone know if Winimage can substitute it fully in terms of mounting? Im liking it because it also makes isos and can burn working floppy boot disks.
