I plan to buy it (600th) for a mainly office use (movies, web, gimp, linux). I hesitated with the Acer Swift 1, which is half as expensive, but it only has 64 GB of memory.

For the price you can get an X1 Carbon (I'll assume that you just want thiness and beauty in a laptop) which will have way better specs in an almost new condition. Nothing will beat a thinkpad
