Avoid these fuckers like the plague because you're going to have a really bad time. They identify way too much with their Marry Sue character and any criticism on that is going to set them off. If you get a joint commission with them, they're very likely to mooch. If you win a spot in a YCH Pure cancer, I know, stopped doing them altogether after this little fiasco and they don't like your character they will try selling the spot you've already paid for to someone else without telling you and lying to the artist saying that you agreed to it then when you catch them and call them on it they go full sperg and claim to be the victim.

For that matter: Don't get any joint commissions with any furry unless you've known them for a very long time, long enough to tell if they're an actual friend or a fair-weather-faggot. Every time I did a joint commission with someone the other person would always come up short, try to mooch, or mysteriously disappear for a month and do a shitty job at ghosting to the point where the artist is questioning what the fuck they're doing. To this day I think I've only had about 3 joint commissions work out because they were done with only friends.

Also, find the right artist for the job you want or you're going to have a very bad time. Constantly communicate with them, but don't pester them about the project, let them tell you about it during small talk, pay attention to what they're doing and keep up with them, in otherwords treat them like anyone else but just happens to be doing something for you for some extra cash. And if they have a suggestion on how to improve the work, listen to it because they're usually on to something.

Don't waste your dough on a overly popular artist because you're going to get trash. They usually rush whatever they can, and in worst cases have a severe ego and won't take any instructions you gave or won't go over any miscommunication with you ending up with a terrible result because they didn't talk to you about anything. I've got several pics I can't even post because of the trash fires they became.

I hate how people usually do magic when there is so much you can do with it to make it interesting.

A couple years back my main character converted to being a magic user and I've been having fun with RP's based on rune tables, complicated ritual/summoning setups, etc.

I don't just do "I'm magical therefore abracadanra look at my humongo dongo", but I love detailing rune placement and material on my partner's body, strength and duration of effects being determined by rarity of material, then proper placement for accurate flow like base of the spine and interconnections from there. I go full autismo on it and my partners usually have a good time going, but we usually discuss the results of what's happening beforehand.
