Arbitrary bioluminescence is sort of ill-fitting in my opinion - especially when it uses flesh or skin like in the first or fifth. It cuts a bit too close to 'sparkledog' territory and it's often about as fitting by colour as purple spoilers on someone's car.

However, there is a kemono trend of sorts like in your third, with a few artists, making cyber-kemos, and I find those designs to be appealing, often because the base colours usually actually match in the first place.

I went back two weeks in my Pixiv stacc and couldn't find any of the artists, but I'll try to keep it in mind next time I see one of them post.

It often seems as though people who say this are jaded, and see every fan creation as fitting only one or another hated extreme. Too fancy or too plain. Too weird or too boring. Too special or too ordinary. Species, fur color, clothing, accessories, everything is derided as crap. Someone presents an uncommon species, it's a "speshul snowflake" and they should choose something more common. They pick a cat or a wolf instead, and get told it's a stupid choice because everybody has one of those.

Do whatever the fuck you like. The only time I get annoyed is when a character has an abundance of extremely specific patterns or accessories that any artist drawing them must get precisely correct. I tried to buck that with my sparklegenet up there.

I get that. I really do, which is why it's an extreme rarity in the setting she was made for. I also intentionally made her have no overly-specific markings. Her colors are variable a bit, and her fur patterns are that of a spotted genet but an artist can interpret genet markings any way they want.

I usually prefer characters with only a few glowy or colored bits, but I wanted one crazy-color character and I intended not to make them a pain to draw. That one you posted looks absurd, like a Lisa Frank image.
