I've sent him a few notes asking for a commission but he never read them. Has anyone here had success even contacting Slyus?

i love how you can tell the poses are based off a secondlife character screenshot

I don't know Secondlife well at all, but I know that furniture like chairs and beds have built-in poses, so when your avatar goes into the same space as the bed or chair, it automatically puts the avatar into an appropriate pose. The positions shown may be based on a built-in pose for some sort of bed.

i dunno, seems pretty generic to me. i have a number of pics with similar poses.

No he's infamous for only taking commissions from friends of people he's already taken commissions from, I've been trying for years now.

his art style isnt all that great, its really generic and kinda like not worth the price.
read: overrated like any yiff art it holds no industry value.

>wanting a commission from him
You're just buying the name
There are better artists out there that are more available and have better quality

>implying I don't like his style over his name
If theres a similar styled artist around who does bgs as well I'm all for it, but I haven't really found anyone as of now, so I focused on him for what I had in mind.

He's still actively drawing the same people who have already commissioned him

I just messaged someone who commissioned them in the past and they said it was 300, and all they did to contact him was note him on FA.

screenshot of note with your name blurred out or your lying. also your obviously a popular fursona cuz you posted your actual artwork.
No.94337

yeah he wont draw anything but that because there all popufurs. gotta do what draws in your audience not what will scare it away, throw a new fur in the mix and he wont be making money.

Here you go, I posted some random art of his that I liked, I'm definitely not proby or I'd already be in the slyus gang
No.94353

that doesnt count as talking to slyus you asked some random person how to get art from him.
No.94354

you should be out getting a real job instead of buying yiff art and mad that your fandom is collapsing and that your entire fandom is run by popufur toxicity

Which is literally what I put in my original statement, I asked someone who has gotten a lot of art from them how they went about doing it and the price they paid.
No.94371

they just said they dont know how to get you to commission him. ie he only does fursonas if your POPULAR. I would assume seeing how his art is filled with POPFURS.

Maybe it's me but it doesn't seem like he caters solely to popfurs. Either I just don't pay attention or you have a much broader definition of popfur. Like, I haven't seen any of these characters before:

you dont make 80k a year, otherwise you wouldnt be posting on 8chan. trust me.
No.94957

People posting here make way more than that. You’d be surprised. Of course 80k isn’t really that much income in parts of the world.
No.94959

Comissioning famous artists can be useful to shill your characters. But of course unless you're trying to get money or fame paying this much is just a giant waste when you could hire way better artists for way less.

80ks alot to someone whos smart with money. 22k was enough for me and i afforded two weeks worth of play money aka two full paychecks which amounted to a grand, i still did alot with it.
No.94961

also the way he speaks is unprofessional and of someone who doesnt work at a law firm, someone like that works at like walmart or something, i hope his lawfirm goes under because the manager is an insolent asshole.
No.94999

Tbh I am skeptical but about the managing the law firm part, not the salary. I mean I almost make that much and I’m pretty unhappy with my career success.
