Got an update.
Took me a long ass time but I managed to get everything working and stop the CTD's, then had to fix the textures, then had to missing heads issue.
I'm going to play around the game for probably a week to make sure everything is alright, but I've got a couple things you shouldn't expect
>Editing
If I do edit, it will be very limited.
>Requests
Won't be done
>Certain lighting/enb
I'm going to work with what I've got and I'm steadily adding more textures overhauls and lighting, but that's going to be the bulk of it. Don't expect me to use X youtuber's ENB setup.
I'm going to be focusing on improving the graphics for now.

Skyrim really uses a very simple format for its plugins - the exact same format, without any upgrades, added complexities or even bug fixes, that the engine was using all the way back in Morrowind. Once you get over the learning curve of first figuring out xEdit's interface (that is, TES5Edit's interface), you'll see that plugin problems are actually all really easy to solve just by yourself.
... but then, plugin format aside, there are so many things that are just utterly esoteric about Skyrim like its horrible memory management that causes so many pointless crashes (protip that it took me tens of hours to figure out: if your game crashes regularly when you're travelling outdoors, change your memory settings in ENB) and, of course, FNIS being needed at all for custom animations.
Aside from all that...
>dragons being an Aedric species
Well that's a bit of (seriously very important) pre-Skyrim lore (that Skyrim more or less throws out the window) that I wasn't ever expecting to see in Skyrim, let alone in a lewd mod for Skyrim.
▶ No.81619>>81630 >>81634
>>81616
Yeah, memory issue stopped being a problem when I used the patch, ENB was already on max memory setting.
The problem is when mods start getting a little too specific on the mod order they want to work in. Like I was spending the past hour and a half fixing combat animations since walking forward decided to stop working after I installed the creature mod, which I got to work eventually.
It;s like an episode in those cartoons where the main character needs something so they have to trade with the entire cast of the show to get the item they need, but in this case, the items are all cats and they refuse to stay in place. I don't know if that makes sense, just tired been doing this all day lol

Oh, wait, one thing: Are you using Mod Organizer, which allows you to actually have different content folders for different mods that you can rearrange at will without losing any data, or are you actually just installing mods over each other and actually losing data files from each mod in the process as they get overwritten ala Bethesda's way of handling mods? If you haven't got Mod Organizer, get it. Bethesda's way just creates so many headaches.

The way to Solitude took a little bit longer than expected, held up admiring the craftsmanship, not to mention the view, of Dragonbridge.
I didn't arrive to Solitude in time for the gates to be open. Not the city's fault though, due to the war it'd be really stupid to leave your gates open around the clock when a Stormcloak or Imperial spy could slip in and have their way with the entire town.
I did manage to meet up with the family that owned the nearby stables and noticed that all their stock were in studs. I asked about this and got a clear answer.
He said that mares and geldings were in very high demand for Imperial officers since they're easier to control under pressure.
Afterwards they said I could sleep in the loft in the mill, but my sleep was disturbed by some loud grunts and muffled whinnies. I figured there must have been some horse thieves, but when I went to investigate, I found that above being harder to control, studs tend to need tending in other ways.

I've heard rumors that theres an abandoned mine, someone selling the deed to it, but I'll look into that another time.

Though the warning was a bit ominous, theres a caravan for sale at about 4k gold. Seems pretty damn pricey to me, but with a horse included, supplies, and much more, I think it'll be worth the investment. Plus I won't have to pay for a ride anymore.
Already in Markarth there's blood in the streets when I walk in. Thankfully I don't have to ditch town, everyone saw it wasn't me and they already got the killer. I'll have to snoop around and see if I can get my hands on any glimmer.

I stopped by a close-by mine and got word that another one was attacked by Foresworn, the Reachmen I heard about being a danger.
I was prepared for this, and a jobs a job so I took up the task of clearing out the other mine.
I made a major mistake though.
I over prepared.
The first thing I see is a man in the mines wearing nothing but rags and attacking me with... stones and teeth on sticks. So I just ran the bastard right through, after all, he just came right at me.
In fact, the entire mine just came to me unlike the bandits I've been fighting. They took cover, they dodged around, they knew how to fight. For Divine's sake their most powerful mage ran straight up to me as if I couldn't kill him but I ran him right through like the first one.
But these people... I think I have a theory about them, here me out reader:
These people have been raised their entire lives that the land was theirs and everyone else was just invaders. Why improve themselves? The land was THEIRS. They'll rise up at any moment and take what's rightfully theirs. But they're wrong. All these buildings in Markarth, land perfect for defensible structures, hell even a small wooden fence would have worked. They don't even lock their doors. I even heard these people stupidly make pacts with the weird old bird ladies for "power". I think I even fought one, and my sword slid right through him just the same.
So when that nut-job Ulfric came through, he didn't have to do anything because he was never in any danger.
For a people that seem to take no value in wealth like the barbarians of Solsthiem they seem to revel in it. Why else would they capture a gold mine and not one of the outlying farms?
Either way, I'm going to mine this place dry, basic prospecting is telling me it's loaded with gold. I'll say the Foresworn carried it out when I cleared killed a few of them.

Well good FUCKING morning from WET MARKARTH.
It's been storming for the past few days and I am soaked to the bone.
I swear, my traveling cloak doesn't do anything in this weather except be a sopping blanket against my fat wet ass.
Here's a really fun fact. Aparently the only place to get fire wood in the entirety of the Reach is to go out to a remote inn in the middle of nowhere but is "Famous" since a Septim supposedly rented a room there. They even charge a premium for it.
I managed to get the wood though, handsome hunk helped me out on that end, I'll have to remember to visit him when the damn rain stops.
I also got waylaid by a group of bumpkins who were paid some serious gold to kill me. But I showed them whose the big dog in the Reach. I found a note on them and... I have no idea who this person is. But rest assured: They'll get their teeth knocked out.
▶ No.81747
>>81745
The weather finally cleared up and I was able to make myself some new gear. One lady kept giving me the stink eye while I was working the forge, don't know what that was about. Maybe she didn't like competition? Well news for her: I'm here for the long run. Anyways, I noticed a lot of people in Skyrim don't know the advantages of having a short spear and I aim to teach them just how useful it is.
Anyways, this jack gave me a note, kept insisting I dropped it. Clown has as much subtlety as his red fur. Anyways, I go to his little "Secret meeting" and he's been saying he's investigating murders like this that have been happening. So I humor him and start to poke my nose into this sort of business. After all, people all saw who the murderer was so this might be a fun distraction.
Turns out I've opened a big can of worms I didn't plan on. An Imperial spy was sent to secure the silver mine here, but she ended up getting murked by the Forsworn nutjob.
What is it with everyone in this damn country being lunatics?
Anyways, big fish in the pond sends one of his lackeys to "warn" me, and I told him to fuck right off and went to the manlet himself. I confronted him and was about to beat the crap out of him until he started running his mouth. Turns out he was another nutjob, making the local gully-dwellers that are the Foresworn act on his behalf through their chicken-shit puppet "King of Rags" while he's locked in the mine. Did he really expect for this shit to not backfire? Aparently not as a bunch of them swarmed the building, killed his wife and he's putting the blame on me.
Pure psycho.
So I go around snooping, dumped my cloak since it's pretty warm today when another nutjob decides to fight me bare-knuckle. Naturally, I kick the shit out of him and he tells me he was sent by the Nose. If he's going to pick on me I'm going to pick the shit out of this "Nose"
▶ No.81750
The Nose turned out to be one of those Foresworn crazies, hell his entire staff were all a bunch of them. After confronting him on sending me the joke of a thug, he starts spilling his life story, I don't have time for that. So I ask in a furstrated and sarcastic way "Why are you telling me this?" he gives me a typical villain line, you know like from those books "You won't get out of here alive."
Now not only did I get out of the room alive, but I slaughtered the lot of them. They're Foresworn, strategy isn't their thing. So for tactical advantage I ran out of the house, leaped from some stairs, made it all the way down to the forge and dock. This spot I knew they'd be too stupid to resist since it meant they'd all come at me through a straight and narrow path, one I could litter them with arrows, then drop my bow and go at them when they came close. Guards ran around like pansies instead of getting the populace under control which caused me to miss some shots. But Nose was first to make it through. I bashed his skull in with my shield and sent him into the water. Next was another of his idiot thugs. After that it was a cake walk.
Fishing the bodies out of the water, looting them, and heading for the meeting spot with... Shit. I don't even remember his damn name, but I was in for a surprise.
It was such a fine day too. Damn place is full of crazies. Now I'm off to Cidna Mine.
▶ No.81753
▶ No.81755
Gonna be a delay until the next part, when going to Cidna Mines it's CTD'ing so I have to fix that.
▶ No.81758
Yep, that's me. You might be wondering how my fat ass ended up naked on the filthy floor of a mining-prison that's "Inescapable"
Well there's a story for that.
An idiot who lacks subtlety handed me a note that told me to meet him. I was killing time until dinner so I went to his "super secret hiding place" which was a god damn chapel to Talos. He wanted to know why people were getting killed and it led me from corrupt guards, crazy backwoods hicks, and smashing in the nose of The Nose and his jokes of minions. All said and done I end up framed and this painting isn't looking too pretty. I've got to make my way out of this shituation before it really hits the mill.
So first things first: Find the self-proclaimed "King" and kick his ass. But theres prison rules. In order to get what you want, you either have to be the biggest fish or suck up to them. "The Beast" here wants me to get him a shiv. Oh I'll give him a shiv alright. I've had a long day and I don't need to take this shit.
Dominance asserted, I continued on my way. Now I'm going to be clear here, I prefer taking it in the ass, but sometimes you just have to make an exception. These shut-ins don't understand the true power of a power bottom. It'd just destroy their grip on reality.
And there the bastard was, writing his letters, surrounded by food. Just talking to him I had to hold back from strangling him. So in a very sarcastic way I said "I want my freedom" and he gives me this whole "You're one of us" speech. Now he's got me talking to more of the prison loonies. The one he sends me to admits to being a murderer and then says he had nothing to do with it. What kind of backward logic is that? The kind that tells you to go running face first into an enemy's spear.
After that nonsense Mad Madanach says he has a way of escaping but I have to kill the prison snitch. It's like this place is nothing but stereotypes I swear. Though I have to say: How often do you get an opportunity to suplex someone?
▶ No.81759>>81761 >>81769
So after I murdered the "snitch" despite having no evidence he might even be one, Madman goes to "rally his troops" which is kind of laughable.
Turns out he, or anyone else, could have left at any time. He had a tunnel that leads through Dwarven ruins. Rather than escaping earlier or letting other prisoners attempt, he had the gate locked and guarded and refused to tell anyone. Needless to say, I was pretty mad.
It wasn't a jolly jaunt though. There were spiders, and those damn Dwemmer machines. I held back from the fighting of course. No I'm no coward, I'm thinking with logic here. A whole prison full of crazies being led by mad man whose put a lot of people to death because he thought just because he was entitled to land he owned it. No. The more of his followers that die in the skirmishes the easier it'll be to kill him when the opportunity arises. I may not care much for the people of Markarth but I know damn well he'll spread his madness throughout the damn country.
That was the plan until it was revealed that he had Forsworn waiting for him at the end of the tunnel. I was thankful to get my stuff back, but he still had to die. But it was even better. Both the people who decided to fuck with me were there. Let them face off, and I'll take them both out.
With both of the men dead as well as their goons, Markarth and the Reach as a whole will have a major void to fill in their power structures. Though I think it's all for the best. I can make a lot more dough with less competition and cutting off the head of the Forsworn chicken will have them even more of a disorganized mess. All and all, what a bizarre day.

He had a weapon that just hitting me made me feel like I couldn't breath for a bit. Had to solve it with a spear through the gut but damned was he a tough son of a bitch that wouldn't go down easy.
Inside the shack I found a strange set of iron armor, you could just feel power radiating off of it. I've been meaning to pick up enchanting so maybe I can figure out what it does that way. More importantly though, I found plans to expand the mine, whoever prospected it found so many deposits of rare ores that I'd be a fool not to take advantage of this literal gold mine. However, we have to get the place operational and even then we need a mining permit.
I think I heard about a rep of the East Empire Company coming by Morthal. What business he has there? I sure as shit don't know, but if it gets me the dough I need to live out my life with fine food and finer laps to ride then I'll do what I need to do.

My first character in Skyrim was an Argonian. I went into those ice caves near the starting place and found a giant ice worg or something and it ripped me apart easily. I didn't play it very long in total, maybe 10 hours.
But I always like to fap to that wolf giving my Argonian (eg me) a nice hard doggie knot.

Sorry for the late coming update, this mine is proving to be a bit of a challenge to get into working order.
I got the permit and while I was in Morthal I mad myself some more pouches and some saddle bags for my saddle bags.
The mine is proving to be the richest I've seen yet, I've never gotten as much ore from any other vein than here, it's still hard to believe this was being left abandoned to bandits. Either side of this war could take it over and fashioned an endless supply of arms and armor. Unfortunately for them, by both Imperial and the laws of Skyrim this mine is rightfully
MINE!
Pardon the pun.
I had to pick up a journal for all the supplies needed. I just need some clay and logs and I can have the exterior walkways and docks completed. I've just got about the right amount of supplies for the interior.

A lot of time, a lot of haggling, and a damn lot of construction but I think this company is going to sweep Skyrim like a wildfire with the finest metals and craftsmanship and maybe venture into other businesses though.
My newly newly hired manager, Mr. Tovis Horansen, came highly recommended from the East Empire Trade company having graduated top of his class and eager to start work in putting his skills to use.
We're already swarming with applicants for miners, black smiths, and even chefs but we'll have to be discerning so I want to keep his head clear, a mining operation like this is extremely dangerous with cave ins and bandit raids. We need the best of the best which is why I'm proposing a radical new method of relieving employee stress.

After a few days of work the main shaft is finally operational. I hadn't had the time to meet the rest of the crew, Torvis recommended that we should focus on trade and use the gold we earn to better the mines. I was all for the idea since that meant I'd have more time to work on my figure. He then recommended I should go out and make more seed money. There goes my plans on polishing off three whole turkys and a mountain of sweet rolls.
So I decided we should look into enchanting, I've noticed a severe lack in enchanted arms and armament, the bandit leader, Mad Madanach's armor, and the Silver-Blood Family ring being the only ones we've found in use. we could probably fill that void and increase our profits. I also want to know what this armor does.
My journey started in Riverwood where I heard there was a stockpile of spell books. What we needed was a spell called "Soul Trap". I'm no mage but there was also another book I picked up that I'll have to peruse later called "Warp". I was then told if I was looking for more spells, I'd have to make my way to the College of Winterhold.
Having made the trip, during one hellish snowstorm that made me stop several times to make camp.
When I reached the gates I had to "Prove my worth" by summoning a flame atronach. I didn't have the spell nor knew how to cast it, but the gate keeper had a hand out for thirty gold, which seems to be a very strange way to squeeze money out of potential students. I had read the spell and made an attempt to cast but, for what I can only describe, my mental power wasn't quite strong enough to cast such a spell. So I had to improvise. I had looted a potion that would help me focus and figured to sell it later but a little loss makes for greater gains. I've casted the spell and was permitted entrance.
The library had several books on enchanting and even armoring. They had the spell book I was looking for as well, so I've purchased the needed spell and some of the books. I even unraveled what exactly that armor I had picked up would do, though at the cost of the armor itself. It's an enchantment that strengthens the armor the longer the user is in combat which is amazing. Imagine outfitting an entire Imperial legion with armor like this.

After a few trips around I've decided we were not getting enough gold as we could be getting. So I talked with Tovis about getting a caravan I saw a while back. Not only would I be able to carry anything and everything out of ruins and bandit camps I visit but I'd also have a means of getting our wares to outlying areas where supplies are scarce like to Winterhold as I found out from their recent "accident" and how they were unable to deal with that situation.
Tovis agreed and we used our funding to buy the caravan outside of Markarth. After loading it with supplies from smithing equipment, an enchanting table a retired scholar had no more use for, and various means for survival in the wilderness, it was time to meet the horse whose ass I'd be staring at for long trips.
The stablehand told me his name was "Thuse" and he was very well trained. I think we got along very well.

With no seed money left after the purchase it was time to head back to the mine. I understand why carriage drivers charge such exorbitant fees now, it's hard to focus on the roads when you've got a horses ass to stare at.
Anyways, a very familiar camp was ahead and I decided to stop for some quick target practice and to stretch my legs, had to make use of my new bow somehow. But the bandit leader had an enchanted weapon, one that when it struck the ground made an explosion of poison. Never had I heard of this so it must had been a new wizard's experiment before it was creatively procured by the highwaymen. In any case, more research for our weapons program. I even got my hands on a set of rare and valuable Dwemmer armor.

On my way through though, a durzog came charging in. Though rare these "swamp swine" are very aggressive. There seemed to be an exception with this one though. In the middle of the fight it stopped attacking me, with no explanation.

The trip to Dawnstar was a short but very frigid one. And it seems we've managed to catch a Khajiit trading caravan along the way.
I don't see them as competition as the locals do, I see them more as a sales opportunity. They buy stuff from all over and sell for dirt cheap where you could flip their wares for a pretty penny.
As you can tell, negotiations went pretty well.
As for Dawnguard, I think the armor sold here will be put to good use. Judging by the inventory they hadn't seen any decent traders in a long time.

After camping for the night, the next day I met with one of the members of the Khajiit caravan. He had lost an amulet of his to a bandit attack and I offered to get it back from the bandits if I'm in the area.
However, our conversation was cut short when two warring goblin tribes decided to have their skirmish outside of our camps. When all was said and done, we began looting the bodies when I stumbled upon a very strange and enchanted Dwarven helmet. By the engravings of the enchanter, it says something along the lines of "Of fencing". I'm not quite sure what to make of it, but I was on the road soon after.
Up the road a group of bandits took over an old fort that held a tavern, aparently killing the owners and taking it over. I stayed there for the night in modest comfort after dragging out the bodies of course. But the road to Winterhold became nearly unpassable in the blizzard that blew in. I was lucky to make it to the town in the first place, so I'll have to sell my wares and consider getting a room in the tavern.

The merchant in Dawnstar was sort of an odd one. She had gold, yes, but she had "Durg Gold" that I will have to convert at the Markarth treasury.
My final stop on this trade route I'm establishing is... Windhelm. Whose Jarl as far as I can tell is quite the complainer. Rumor has it that he killed the High King by shouting at him because he wanted to be High King. Not only did he not know how his own country's politics work, but you'd have to be very insistant to murder a man by shouting at him enough that he outright kills himself to get away from your whining.
Windhelm is also the town I showed up in and someone just so happened to be murdered the next day. Well, I do have a contact there I'm already on good relations with there, so the trip should be worth it.
Along the way though, I passed by a fort guarded by skeletons, worst of all, some sort of Daedric priest. This was the roughest fight I had, his spells were near constant and I was hard pressed to even get to him. The arrows I had to pump into him, and then finally close the gap, but it was worth it. I found a ring that's just radiating with power, it even pulls at my concentration but I feel something "shocking" being given in exchange. I'll have to have this checked out, but the design of the ring itself is stunning as well.
I've arrived to Windhelm. Maybe I can see what happened, touch bases with my Panther Khajiit contact and see if he's still doing well in business.

On my way through the streets of Windhelm a guard stopped me. At first, I thought they finally wanted to accuse me of the murder, but turns out, that wasn't the case. In fact, in the month I've been away from Windhelm they've had several other murders happen. I'm not sure how they could not have cot them yet considering you can't steal a cabbage from an empty house without these people knowing, but the blood splattered all over the streets made a clear trail on where to start. Needless to say, it was none of my business, I had a huge armor order to deliver and I wasn't going to let some two-bit guard slow me down.
Finally in the Grey Quarter, the slums, I met with my old friend Revyn Sadri. We caught up, had a few drinks and I had to give him a better deal than I usually would any other merchant, turns out that the racism against the Ashen Khajiit was kicked into overdrive and business has not been as good as it should have been.
We had a few drinks and got to talking about his homeland and how he was much more well off until Red Mountain erupted and had to start over from scratch. He's been doing well for himself with an honest living.

And so we left Windhelm. I'd say it was a much better visit than expected, especially with how good the mountain winds feel after having someone's arm up your ass, that gape'll stay for the trip.
We've got the first trade route established and the next one will soon follow. I'd say though I'm only going to keep my business to my darker feline friend, he has his wits together while the Jarl's personal blacksmith... He can't even keep an eye on his own hammer. Not to mention, the people he does business with are not very ideal. Sure he does work for a Jarl, but not a very smart Jarl. I did sell the rest of my wares to him, made him pay a pretty penny and put the fear of the divines in him that there was a bigger, badder, fatter dog in town who can forge much finer craftsmanship.
His high influences did manage to get him four ebony ingots which I gladly swiped up. I've had an idea for a new set of armor brewing based on designs I had read from a history book on smithing I got at the College of Winterhold. Should provide some more insulation from the cold.
In the meantime, Thuse is proving to be a very intelligent horse. Once he knows where to go, you tell him where we're going and he'll go there himself. Leaving me with all the time in the world to oggle that big rump and his swollen balls as they bounce. Speaking of, I don't remember the last time they were emptied.
▶ No.81871>>81877
We had made it home with no issues, and even earlier than expected. I trusted Thuse and he found a shortcut back to the mine at a gentle slope. I have to say, he's one smart horse.
However, there was another bandit at the mine today, alone, which means they must be scoping the place out. If they're setting up spies it's time to upgrade the defenses.
Before turning in for the night, I decided to check and see how our earnings have been while I was away picking up our caravan, mining, smelting, smithing, then traveling and dealing. Needless to say my eyes went wide as saucers.
My first thought was to fill up a tub of the gold and bath in it while I ate several hams, but Tovis recommended that a better idea was to open up the second mineshaft our prospector discovered. Make more money in the long run, so it was clearly a better idea.
I also pushed that we should sure-up our defenses and filled Tovis in on the brooding bandit situation. If we can put a stop to it before it happens, we'll be better off than where we were.
Construction would begin tomorrow, and while that was going on, I figured to give Thuse a bit of relief.

Three days of construction later and our second mine shaft was ready for work. I met up with the new foreman for that site, though I didn't pay attention so much to her words as to what was between her legs. But she did tell me I wouldn't believe it when I saw it. True to her word she was right.
Orichalcum, Moon stone, and Quick Silver all in one place and in such abundant amounts, I was floored. The prospectors said that the veins are incredibly rich and go on for a long time. I never knew so much of it could be in one place. The operation is going to just keep getting bigger and our trade will grow even more.

A few days have been spent in the new mine gathering as many supplies as possible. Between this time I would design the new armor I have planned, heavy armor that may not be as strong but will allow for greater ease of movement. Something vital for us who use short spears. The model work is slightly off but should be a good proof of concept.
I even went and did some consultation with the new foreman. I told her that I'm enjoying the new shaft, but we should probably do some deep tunneling. I was glad she felt the same way.
In that time, I had learned to warforge my equipment. This process not only strengthens an item to powerful lengths, hones, and sharpens it, but makes it strangely feel lighter while still feeling unbreakable. The downside is that once this process is done then there is no room for an enchantment to take hold. Taking note of this, I tried an experiment on the ancient ring I recovered from the Daedra cult leader. To my surprise it's enchantment held. I had shown Tovis my work and he was all over the place. At points he was lecturing me about the dangers of tampering with artifacts in both risk and profit loss, but then he'd turn around and admire the craftsmanship. He informed me that this was the ring of the legendary archer "Wamasu" which is a very dumb name. Just say it out loud and hope no one laughs at you like I had.
In any case, while supplies are stockpiled for the next trade route, I'm off to Riverwood to investigate a rumor about some "Golden Claw"
▶ No.81906
Riverwood again. The sights, the sounds, all just relaxing. Especially when you spend a morning fishing in it's river.
I met up with the same merchant that sold me a spell, Lucan, who lost his "golden claw". He's a nice enough fellow but I'm unsure about setting up this area for the trade route. Maybe a few things I could sell but nothing that'd really bring in the gold.
He filled me in on robbers breaking into his store and taking nothing else but the claw which was very odd indeed. So I agreed and I'll make my way to Bleak Falls Barrow. Maybe I can negotiate a better "payment" between him and his sister?
Thuse and I made up the mountain just fine, but I can tell this will be an easy task to do. It's clear these bandits were far too used to preying on a sleepy little town, only one knew how to hold their shield and that didn't last very long. Into the ruins I go.
▶ No.81907>>81909
It was at this point I was starting to feel a little insulted. These bandits were nothing more than pushovers and I'm joked that no villager had put a stop to them in the first place.
I was especially disappointed with bandit named Arvel though. I only know his name because of his journal. He was stuck in the webs of a giant Frostbite spider and offered to share the treasure if I cut him down. Now, I'm no expert in strategy but I don't think it's a wise idea to just turn your back, run away while monolingual your thoughts and thinking you'll get away when the person you plan on double-crossing has a spear, is in a better condition, and is incredibly well-fed. Needless to say a quick prod in the spine and he was gone.
I am fairly interested in this treasure though, so I press ahead through these puzzles any child could solve, though the "Draugr" proved to be quite an issue. The mumified remains of the ape-like creatures that used to roam Tamriel now reanimated corpses. From what I read at the College their culture was so bizzare they were not only opposed but disgusted by seeing other's genitals exposed and did everything they could to cover them up. How else were you supposed to tell if someone was interested in you in "THAT" kind of way? How would that even be comfortable at all?
They put up a better fight, though their armor is so old and rusted it wouldn't even be worth looting to melt down.
The door into the sanctum was a greater disappointment. The designers of this place didn't realize that if you look at the underside of the key, the combination is right there. Any two-bit thief could have looted the place long before without much of a struggle. However, that paled in comparison to the one that had the chamber for his tomb.
The fight was fierce, not only was he the strongest fighter I've gone against yet, but he had an enchanted great sword that numbed at the touch and he chanted ancient spells I never heard of.
He used one of these spells to disarm me at first, leaving me to scramble to pick up my dropped spear and shield. The fight raged, and I managed to bring him to his knees. Before he died however, he said another word and my spear and shield crumbled to rust before my eyes. I'd have to make new arms as soon as I came back to the mine.
But the deed was done, I recovered the claw as well as a tablet full of strange markings. Something tells me I should hang onto it. But for now, it's back to Riverwood for me.

By the time I had gotten out of the crypt it was already nightfall. I went back to my camp and contemplated that fight.
My fights before were hard, yes, but I think there might have been something else to all of this, as that last battle felt very "odd". Why would you make a crypt that anyone could go through with ease? Maybe it was all a trap and something else was released during the fight. I may never know, but I know the strange stone tablet might be mixed into this.
The night passed by quietly and it was another day, it was time to collect my reward from the siblings and I won't take gold for the effort.
When all was said and done, I spent the night passed out on their floor, it had been quite a long day. However, in the morning I got them to agree that the claw would be better in my hands and I'd reimburse them when I come through again.
From there, it was back to the mine, and time to make myself some fresh gear.

Oddities on the road, for starters being frostbite spiders. I've yet to see any outside of caves but now they are becoming common. But there's more than that.
I was passing through the same bandit camp on the trail. Still no army had occupied it but more bandits, moreover, these bandits had some better equipment, one even having a honest to truth Headman's axe. Their purloined goods had some more value to it as well, including a spell book. They even had a fairly competant mage, just one shock nearly killed me and I even found a greater soul gem on them. I'm beginning to think this band of bandits has a very high up benefactor which can also explain why no army has occupied it.
The new armor is working better than expected, the fur faulds make for great protection and the lightweight armor composite of quicksilver and steel makes it all the best for mobility and solid protection. This "Warforged" practice on weapons made the blade so light it's like waving a regular stick and the blade so keen I accidentally decapitated one of the bandits.
Made it to Markarth pretty late in the evening. For once there wasn't blood in the streets or some idiot harassing me to be an investigator. It's not overrun by Reach men nor are the guards looking hassle me. Seems like decapitating the heads of both the Silver-Blood and Forsworn has really paid off.
By the daytime came, I figured it was time I started taking care of my appearance a bit. I got a fresh new hairstyle and decided to take the rest of the day for myself, chatting about about the trade with Kleppr, despite the jabs from his wife. After that, it was time to turn in for the night.
I spent way too much time today fixing mods because guards heads broke. They won't look as good as before until I can get it fixed, posted my distress on Sexlab so hopefully someone will answer and help me fix it. Catch y'all tomorrow

That day turned into a few days of fine foods and drinking. I was finally getting my weight together and not losing my hard earned fat but actually gaining.
One of the locals tried making a jab at me about escaping with the foresworn from the silver mine and of how many people died, to which I just grinned at him knowing full well of what happened.
It was time to get back to work. My first stop was Arnleif and Sons where I saw the store was in... Not the best condition. I didn't say much but they surprisingly had some interesting items. Now that the Silver-Bloods had less control, the locals could bring out the finer stuff without an exorbitant tax. Some of the wares included a copper circlet of "Blood and Power" which the Lisbet said enhanced both your health and mind. There was also a ring that just by wearing it healed the wounds of your allies. Naturally I snagged these up but it ate the entire profits of this stop alone. But the research potential would be worth it.
I also left a set of the carved armor I was wearing with the rest of the shipment, as a less-than-subtle way of telling them where to get their armor orders. Local smith be damned, she's an idiot who can't train her own apprentice and is having me find a damn book for him to read.
With nothing else left to do in Markarth, it's off to the next stop on this trade route: Solitude.

The way to Solitude was a pleasant ride. I got to stretch my legs with a few stops and sliced up some Forsworn, thinning the heard of idiots.
The rest of the way was calm, and a "greased palm" later with the guard captain and I have a permit to set up the caravan within the walls of Solitude.
We're also starting to approach a real problem with our sales. No, the armor is selling just fine. In fact, it's selling a bit too well. Other merchants want to get their hands on it because the quality is just unsurpassed, which is odd considering I've always been an amateur until I started bettering myself at the mine. It's also not helping that I am completely buying out shops of food supplies. In short, I am carrying out with me almost the entire hold's coinage.
This presents two problems. The first is that Jarls will end up emptying their coffers and begging for whoever will be in charge after the war (Either the Emperor or the High King) which will be too late to prevent the incoming economic collapse. Second problem is that I won't be making a viable income unless I start investing in the local businesses. I would be able to sell them my own wares as well as give them a bit of my inventory to sell to traveling merchants and skim the profits off the top for myself. And best of all, it would mean that coins I spend at these shops I invest in, that I control, would all funnel back into my pocket and it'd just keep growing.
But with Solitude's gold in my pouch it's time to return to the mine and restock for the trips for the next trade route.

Back to the mine and opening up the second shaft has really given us some profit alone, plus what I've earned on my travel being a total of 55,400 septims. We're not to the top yet though, there's still staff to pay and seeing to opening up a third shaft that our prospectors have been investigating.
Our next trade route should be more profitable with Helgan, Riften and most importantly Whiterun. Whiterun is the cross roads of Skyrim, every merchant worth their salt should be going through that hub and making a pretty bit. Riften will have me a bit worried though with it's well known crime rates as well as the Black Briar family having a stranglehold on the city. We'll just have to see where I go from there.
With the plan all settled, a good night's rest and restocking of supplies it was time to head out to chart the next route. I did stop by and check on Truffles and gave him a kiss on the rump for luck which drew some stares. Maybe it was because it went on for so long... And was pretty deep. That must have been it. At least it's good to know he's enjoying his new home.
Anyways, on the road again.

Falkreath's hold. How can I describe it other than near perfect? Temperate to warm weather, dense forests, a B-E-A-utiful to relax in. Not to mention the Fight Cave.
It's a little known hot-spot in Falkreath. Technically the fights are illegal, but not even the guards care to bust the place. Not only does it take a decent sum in the bettings but the fights are many, and varied.
I decided to stop in and enjoy a few matches, making the occasional bet, winning some and losing some.
Well, then the announcer called for a volunteer to fight "The Beast". A strange werewolf that the crews had captured and were planning on pitting against their fighters. Except not even the fighters would go against it. The odds were very one-sided it seemed. So I did the age-old tactic of all fight pits: Bet on yourself and hope for the best.
I had placed down all of this trip's seed money, a bit recklessly albeit but won't need the money were I dead, but if I won...
Needless to say I was impressed. This would be my first time fighting an actual werewolf but also one so very big in more way than one.
She managed to put up a good enough fight, but my gear and my skill over instinct would win out. I stayed my killing blow though and called for the attendants that I'd give them a real show after the she-wolf was healed.tt
Needless to say, I walked out of there pretty well off and a new body guard for my trips. However, I wasn't counting on the knot to deflate after an hour.

We arrived in Falkreath the next morning to overcast skies. For a town so damn lovely the people are incredibly depressive. Death this, death that, name our business "Dead". No matter though, gold is gold and I'm aiming for the glimmer.
I'm having the shewolf help me with simple tasks, finding out she's not entirely "Bright" if you catch my meaning. I also noticed that she hasn't shifted her form, which might mean that she's one of those that were born from two werewolf parents and ended up being essentially a pure breed. I haven't quite settled on a name though, hopefully I can get some help with that.
I also found out that she can't come with me to trade deals, not only does she not fit through the doorways easy enough but the traders damn near piss themselves... Well, that's not true. Lodd had. She's a perfect mule for making the deliveries though. She's pretty much an ass with a fine ass for now.
Speaking of Lod, he did have some fine boots on sale, ones enchanted for speed. I bought them for research of course, but set me back a thousand gold, but I more than made up for it in armor sales and the winnings from the Fight Cave. And like with every stop, I sold them a set of my "carved" armor. Not as good as the set I'm wearing but still a formidible and intimidating design in craftsmanship based off the old Nordic designs.
While I was in town, I was able to make an order for fine Falreath lumber for the palisades at the mine. I was able to negotiate a discount so long as I helped out with the labor. And to cool off I took some "personal" time.
In anycase, this was another town drained of it's coinage and we'll be back on the road tomorrow. `

Along the road to Riften we were going to pass through Helgen, possibly to stop and get some rest from the torrential thunder storm, except for the fact that the walled city had been razed to the ground.
The fires were still smoldering and it looks to be the work of bandits since there are no valuables. And if it were a dragon like that loony that wandered into Riverwood had been spreading then there would have been at the very least foot prints. But there just wasn't a thing.
Making our way through the wreckage, we came to the mountain pass to Riften, beating the snow that usually makes the place impassable, but we had to walk through the night to make sure we didn't get snowed in.
Once we made it through the pass we were rewarded with clear skies and the autumnal surroundings of the area. It amazes me how Skyrim seems to have every season in just a handful of the holds. It makes me wonder if the seasons just cycle over to the next hold.
But the forest was quite peaceful. After traveling for a while there was a decent spot to setup camp next to the river. Aside from the Helgan disaster this trip has been very relaxing. No stress that'd make me shed hard earned pounds, good gold flowing in, and incredible sights.

That morning I was up at the crack of dawn. Something about the forest was "stimulating" as I decided to go out for a short hunt with just my bow. The cool morning air was more than a little stimulating. I wouldn't realize how much I would need a relaxing morning like this until I got to Riften proper.
Riften is a den of cut throats and thieves held at the leash by the Black-Briar family. As such, it's a question of whether you'd be safer inside the walls than out. I chose the later option and set up camp outside a lesser-used gate and had the werewolf guard it while I did business.
As for business it was pretty bad, most of the merchants barely having enough coin to afford a suit of my armors due to the high taxes exacted by the Black-Briar family, not to mention the thieves guild.
It also didn't help that with the Black-Briars being strong supporters of the Stormcloaks they had free roam of the city. Normally that wouldn't be so bad except that with every "rebellion" they're not too choosy on who to enlist. So this group were menacing the honest merchants with their "trained" wolf and demanding protection money.
There was however a couple of like-minded individuals who had the same opinions about the town as me. That being Hjoll and Aerin. Though personally I feel that they are just bandits with loosely based "standards". If you come from a family of banditry you can just smell this still a mile away. In anycase, I'll have to keep my eye out for a sword called "Grimsever" and probably get these two out of Riften like someone else I'm bringing along.
A stable boy had been conned by a thug named Sapphire. What kind of name is that for a toady? Hell if I know, but that's what she was going with. Anyways, the kid was naive and with some very strong persuasion I managed to wipe his "debt" clean. He's a bit scrawny but I'll make a proper hyena of him yet. And with that it was time to return home with another trade route completed.

I decided to take us on an alternate route back since it was doubtful we'd be able to get through the mountain pass after the snow storm, but it also meant bypassing Whiterun which threw a caliper into that plan.
Nearing the mine I discovered the entrance, or rather, a barred exit to a Dwemmer ruin, which is all the more surprising. But not too far away a group of bandits and necromancers were holed up in some old ruins.
The fights with them weren't that bad, but I had to leave Shadr out of it Pure coincidence our names are similar as he wasn't ready for this kind of combat and won't be for a very long time. Not until he builds up at least a bit of muscle. They were all carrying various items I looted blindly. It was only when we got back to the mine and I was digging through our goods that I found out they were recent College graduates as most of them were still carrying their diplomas, and notably strange rings with a large crystal on them. What made them turn to hedge necromancy and not getting a cushy job in a hold is beyond me. This ruin was fairly close to the mine so I think they may be building up their forces and I got the drop on them. Or that's just paranoia talking.
Either way, Shadr and I made it home and are enjoying some music in the recently built Mead Hall. He'll be lined out with mine work, mostly handling cart work since he's well with horses, and I'll try to fit in some combat training with him between trips. As for now, we've got to get the third mineshaft constructed.

I decided to investigate around the Dwemmer Ruins while construction on the new mineshaft was going on. Interestingly enough I found the entrance not too far away from the barred gate. However, it was being occupied by bandits.
It seemed like they had just started to establish themselves as I came in while they were fighting the Dwemmer automatons. The amount of salvage that can come from this place is going to be really useful when the place is cleared out.
After the bandits I delved in deeper and found a Falmer infestation. They must have recently arrived as well as their camps were sparse and they only had a few Charrus. I snagged a few of the eggs and put them in a wet bag. Maybe I can try hatching them and training them? Time will tell.
When all of that is through, I found the exit. A "Centurion" was blocking the path. After taking it down it got me to thinking how good it would be to be able to have automatons like that patrolling the mine, but the jaunt was over and it was time to go home. All of that stuff can wait until later.

No prob, it'll save you tons of headaches when you're installing FNIS and patchers. Speaking of, you'll need this as well
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpOuGN-yr6E
It's super simple when you get your head around it, and also you can apply this info to patchers as well.
NMM patches the game folder directly but MO is awesome because it loads all you rmods seperately and then puts them in without actually forcing the mods into the game making it a bit more stable. I know I'm not explaining it right but it's keeping your mods in one folder and your game files untouched so you won't have to repair your game every so often like with NMM

The new mine shaft is open and I went to survey the work. Boys, we hit the mother load.
First cavern is full of rich malachite, that'll be good for making some heavy and dense armor in the fashion of Orsinium.
Next we've got what may be the largest gold mine in Skyrim. If we can work it out with the East Empire Trade Company we can probably get a contract to sell the gold to the minters, which'll be important when all the Jarls make demands for more gold to keep their local economies afloat.
Lastly, we've got the Emperor's Blood that is Ebony. Now a bit of history about this incredibly valuable ore. Not only is it incredibly heavy but it's density makes it next to the best for any armor. Now how it's got it's nickname? Way back in the time where Morrowind wasn't on fire and that Nerevarine was about Ebony was claimed by the Emperor and it was illegal just to be in possession of the stuff. Now that law has been overruled due to it's scarcity and the issues it was causing with the colonies, but it's valuable has always been incredibly high. So naturally I got right down to mining.

Unfortunate but true, however, that's not entirely bad. With 2011 Skyrim you'll not only have more mods but it's surprisingly easier to mod than SE. You won't be missing much with SE anyways since you can get much better graphics through mods and the "survival" mode they added doesn't add much and can easily be ignored because of how pointless it is.

After a few days of mining our profits have gone further and further, with smart investment we're nearly to 200k gold in profits from both material trade and products. Essentially we're nearing the top of the food chain in mining and smithing.
Palisades are finished around the camp after some days of treating the wood against fire and the elements as well. Normally people would want a stone wall but more often than not it can be a bad idea. True stone walls would be preferable but the construction costs of being on a frontier as well as it being a bit "overkill" go hand and hand. We're not a big city with laborers and the wood from the palisade can easily be produced and replaced if something gets damaged in a timely fashion unlike stone masonry. It's better that we use our environment as well as only a bit of our worked stone for the gatehouse in the long run.
I used some of the dwarven metal salvaged from the mine to make a crossbow, so it will be interesting to test that out as well. But in the meantime, we're off to Whiterun to how much bank we can make.

I decided to take an alternate route through the mountains for a shorter route to Whiterun. I didn't realize how much trouble or how much time I'd waste dragging a wagon up icy steps and narrow walkways, not to mention fighting the damned ice trolls. However, I found something very strange.
In the ruins I had set up camp, there were the remains of a frozen body next to a strange wooden mask. Apparently an expedition that ended pretty bad.
On a whim I put on the mask and it was like I was like being taken through time to when the ruins were still in-tact. I couldn't open the doors to the room, but it was comfortable. I thought I was trapped until I pulled the mask off and was back to where I had been before. In anycase, I've got a good spot to hide any treasure I find or a place to lay low when husbands and wives come looking for my fat ass. But we're nearing Whiterun now.
▶ No.82169>>82185 >>82225
Ah Whiterun, a perfect hub for any trader's stop as I see with another Khajiit caravan, though not the same as the last one, fine farm land and especially fine horses.
I had to take an opportunity to stop at most of the farms along the way to buy produce and even sample a couple of their finer stallions.
I was stopped at the front gates from entering and was questioned about dragons of all things. That crazy person must have made their way through Whiterun and stirred things up into a panic if they've been on tight security for so long, but I did get through eventually.
And right from the get-go an Imperial soldier was trying to secure a high order from a local smith. This was my time to take full advantage and... She made me work at her forge. True, it was just an iron dagger and a hide helmet but she fell silent after I emptied my bag of my finest steel armor sets. I made quite a mint, even got a pair of enchanted boots and a shield perfect for research. There are plenty of shops in Whiterun to sell to so I'll be at it for a bit.

Making the clink in Whiterun is easy. All the shops I had run out of the stock of thirty armors, including the four sets of carved armor I brought, and I had to make some more to milk out as much of the gold in town as possible. The Khajiit caravan also contributed to the profits on that end.
Unfortunately though, it seemed like that was they last night they were around so I couldn't get down to business. Aparently they're getting a bit spooked by the "dragon" nonsense.
Early that morning with my final load of armor I ran into a war orphan, and another abandoned by poor parents. It's good that they haven't made their way to Riften and stuck to Whiterun. With the gold that passes hands it gets people generous and easy to loosen coin from a tight fist.
I'd do something for the two girls, but a mine isn't a place to raise kids. I thought to myself as I chatted with little Lucia that if they're still around on my next trip I'll have to do something about it. I was in their place once and I don't want them going down thinking banditry is a viable career like I had.
But with that, we've got our trade routes to the main holds complete, I'll be able focus more on making profits now that the I can map out the fastest routes as the prices fluctuate. I packed up with as much food I could and all the gold from the respectable merchants. It's back to the mine.

The journey back to the mine was stopped rather quickly by a crazed man who "challenged" me to a fight, but kept running away as I chased him down. A shield smash to the head got him to shut up for good when I looked into what little valuables he carried and he had a book called "Boethiah's Proving". I think I may have found an opportunity to make a bit more glimmer. Hell if there's any indication where people are told to go out and brawl with strangers it might be a fighting tournament. My path then changed towards Windhelm.
On the road, it figures one of my own would be starting up a "Toll" road. Two hundred gold and she thought I'd pay for that. The threat of her life did the trick but she spoke a little too loud about "spilling my brains" and that's when she had to go.
Worst of all, there were more bandits, and their chief was wearing a cheap knock-off of my improved design.
There are two true dangers on the battle field. First is the healer, they know where to stick you and really make you scream. The other is the smithy, they know how your armor works because they've made it, and they'll exploit your every weakness. Especially when you're wearing a poorly made copy of it.
I'm beginning to hate how most of my people have turned to banditry. It's bad for business. But off down the road to Windhelm I go again.
▶ No.82245
>>82236
The rest of the way to Windhelm was pretty uneventful. However, I did manage to snag some great deals at the Khajiit traders. Was surprised to find this caravan here.
Through a long night of fine food and drinks, it was time to have a little fun with a couple of the guards. In any case, pegging is a weak substitute for a cock but at least dwemmer oil makes a great lubricant.
After a short nap, I'll be making my trip up the mountain to see what this whole thing is about.
▶ No.82253>>82312 >>82313
I got to the top of the mountain and there was a fight going on. Needless to say I thought I was in the right place. But then the "Priestess" told me otherwise.
See, they wanted me to bring a sacrifice up the mountain to prove my worth. I wasn't having none of that. After the little fake skirmish was over I punched the guy in the skull and dragged him up to their crappy little shrine, they got stuck, then I put the knife to them. If they want to have their false ideals then I'll let them die by it and not someone else.
Well, I guess they didn't like that, or, they really liked it because then they all started to just go at eachother. No matter, as long as these idiots are all dead it's no skin off my snout.
But then I guess Boethiah decided that it was bad and confronted me about it by possessing the corpse of the priestess. So I guess I fucked everything up despite it was her followers who started these shenanigans. So now I have to retrieve some ebony mail at Knife Point Ridge.
Before I could just tell the dumb hag that I could easily make some ebony armor if she supplied me but she already left the body. So I took Thuse and sped right off. Hopefully the Khajiit will watch my things while I am out because this is getting ridiculous.
So then I made my way there and of course there are bandits. Poring rain, rock trap ready to go, so I was just in the mood for removing heads from necks.
I don't know what I was thinking actually going through with this. After pushing through the mine the "champion" had been held up in, damnable mages and their lightning spells, I got to the guy. One strike of his sword, I was constantly burning through the fight. Get too close, start feeling nauseated. And his armor barely made a sound despite being solid ebony. I killed him, found out it was the sword and the armor in junction causing the problems during the fight. When all is over I'm going to dismantle it and study how it's enchantments worked.
So then Boethia starts talking. In my god damn head. Says some "High and mighty" bullshit and tells me to keep the armor and do what I want. Is this what everyone whose dealt with a daedric prince had to deal with? Because this was some grade A bullshit.
Back to the mine I go and leave all this nonsense behind.

After my bizarre adventure, I managed to get back to the mine. Things were running smoothly without me there.
With all our trade routes established, we've got caravans going back and forth from the holds, not to mention the trade with the East Empire company. I made a check on our profits and it seems I don't have to worry about gold for a long time. But it's still not enough for me.
This leaves me with plenty of time to find other methods of making gold while Torvis handles the day to day dealings. I'm going to go back to Helgan and investigate things a bit further. If theres a bandit crew large enough to raise an entire town then it's going to be a problem in the long run.
I'll have to figure out how to invest our profits soon though before the inevitable economic collapse around Skyrim, everyone will be wondering just where all their gold had gone and don't want the entire country at our gates. Best to make them feel like they have money while still paying me.
It's about time I paid a visit to Orotheim, the cave near Morthal that has bandits held up in it and supposedly has that Khajiit's moon amulet. I should also do some exploring along the way, as much as I'd love to sit on my fat ass and reap the profits of the mine there's still more money being left on the table where we need to put into enchanting research.
With just myself and Thuse, I'm sure we'll cover a lot of ground.

On the way to the cave I ran into a strange creature I've never come across before. It was sort of like an argonian except more bestial and had wings. I wasn't sure what to make of it but killed it either way. It's bones and scales were thick, I might be able to make some scrimshaw of it.
As for the cave, the bandits were a pushover when I got there. However, I did find a pair of boots with metal spiked disks at the heels. I'll have to figure out what they are used for later of course.
Finally after a long ride I made it all the way to Helgan. The place was covered in bandits, sure, but when I entered the keep there was something off. The bodies inside were Stormcloaks and Imperials but their bodies looked to be here for a while and have been completely untouched.
I also found some interesting reading material. I remember the rumors about the crazy person going around calling himself "Dragonborn" and I think I found why he was calling himself that. The nutjob must actually think he's one of the people they're talking about in the book.
Going down deeper in the keep and into the cave complex I found two deserters who seem to corroborate with the "Dragon attack." story on Helgan, however, I think they'll say anything to avoid hanging for treason. But it's not my business to judge these two. No doubt they've been exploring eachother's caves while in the cave. I'm an expert on spelunking.
The cave led out to a path close to Riverwood so I'll have an easy time getting back to the mine.

On my way back to the mine I found an entrance to a dwemmer ruin. I never miss an opportunity to get more treasure so I went in. Little did I know a bit of an adventure was waiting for me as I made my way in.
I found a ghost, the original author of a book I read at a college, which turns out to be the plagiarized work of this ghost who died in the depths of this ruin.
After ignoring her warnings, she and I delved deep into the ruins to climb to the top of the ancient city to find the treasure that was hidden.
Along the way we had to kill falmer and automatons. We even managed to find her lost bow. It has an interesting design I'll have to study later.
Soon, we were at the room where everything went wrong for her delve. And judging by the bodies littering the place, it's where everyone else fell.

We made it past the puzzle with a bit of ease, turns out the notes from her journal were fairly extensive.
Inside the treasure was well worth it, one in particular gave me the feeling that if I willed it, I could call upon something and summon it. However, that wasn't the greatest prize.
It was a piece of a key. The theory is that it will give access to the Forge. Not just any forge though, but THE Forge of the Dwemmer. With my skills and that as my foundry I can take my craft to new heights and make some truly remarkable pieces of armor and weapons.
So a major priority has become finding these pieces, and luckily this spirit will be helping me along the way.

To find the fragments I figured to find any Dwemmer ruin I could find. I managed to find a second fragment. We're halfway to the goal. What I find odd is that this was left in the open at a well known spot. I wonder why no one had taken it by this point?
In my travels I also found a strange pair of gauntlets while clearing out a Forsworn camp. Trying it on in a hunch, I found twenty gold in my hand. It must have been from the gauntlets, and it makes me wonder where exactly the money comes from?
My road took me further and I decided to delve another ruin for any more treasure I could find. If it's something like gloves that'll always give me room and board fees on hand then I'll jump for it. However, this particular ruin had me going against a fancy-dressed mummy who flew around and casted damn ice spells. As if the country wasn't cold enough. I decided to take it's death mask since I could feel it thrumming with energy. It's enchantments are beyond me and I'll have to find an expert to identify it.
As of now though, I checked into Solitude's inn for the night.

My time in Solitude was very short as I decided to check on things out in Riften's hold and to see if I can find any Dwemmer ruins.
By chance I found my way to the Black-Briar Lodge. I haven't done anything to provoke them but their mercenaries attacked me. So that probably means they're up to some banditry and with my trade going back and forth to this hold I can't have that.
I lifted a key off a corpse and made my way inside and cleaned shop. I also found out whose been buying my armors to outfit their goons as they've all wore the same sets of steel armor. I'm going to have to do something to really kick the hive and yank the power from under the Black Briar family's feet.
In the meantime, I think I'll enjoy the nice spread of food they had set out before continuing my search and plotting.

My search for more Dwemmer ruins in this area wasn't so fruitful as I thought it would be. I did find the entrance to one, but the entrance was barred from the inside.
On my way back I decided to pop into Riften to see how things have been going. It wasn't until now that I decided to take a look at these signs in front of the buildings. Seems that my escapades had tanked the local economy further than I thought with practically every household and business having property signs for sale. This got the devious side of my mind going, I was looking for a way to ensure I could make money without completely ruining the value of gold and this was it. I could have everyone pay me rent. What makes this even better is that I'll be sweeping property right out from under the Black-Briar Familiy's feet.
And with so much seed money at my disposal, with a huge payout at hand, I think it's time to strike step one of bringing their downfall into action and I can't see a better fit to spend our first million than buying an entire town.

All of the property of Riften has been purchased. Every single bit of property. I now own the Temple of Mara as well despite it not being a profitable business. The goal of step one is to give them no ground to conduct any business legally.
The biggest blow is to take their own business right away from them in the Black-Briar Meadery. Turns out their business has been tanking a bit, which makes sense from how little of the stuff I see around and it's price always being higher than it's competition.
Overall, these efforts weren't exactly cheap. But in just a month I'll make back all of my seed money.
But that's the thing about crime families, they don't always do business on the books. We'll move on to step two which will be yanking the control of the Thieves Guild and refusing to do work for the Black-Briar family.
But I can't just walk in and join, they have very strong ties with the Black-Briars from what I hear so I'll need a disguise...

A full night of planning and consulting with Shadr and I think I've got the perfect disguise to take on the criminal underworld of Riften.
I've seen bandits using katanas so I will be using one as well. Though I'm not into the idea of a single, though sharp, edged weapon with limited utility Shadr insists that I should go with it.
He also suggested I use the Ebony mail and a few other accessories and cited a strange and ancient Akaviri picture book that needed to be read backwards yet forwards at the same time. I couldn't make heads or tails of the strange runes or why the characters had such huge eyes, but he was insistent that if I want to fool people I'd have to do this. What's worse is that he told me to do all of these strange and outlandish poses.
Using a heft amount of soot and dwemmer oil I dyed my fur as well, which'll help sell the disguise. Even though I'm the fattest thing in Skyrim As for the name, Shadr suggested a very long and very tongue-tying name that had more adjectives than I was comfortable with so I just condensed it down to The Ebony Wolf. To fit the new persona I even dyed and reforged the death mask the strange flying undead had been wearing.
To further my disguise I had to take up a completely different fighting style as most would know as a "Spell blade". The coin that went into buying the spell tomes wasn't as much as I thought it would be, but not fighting with a shield makes me feel so naked.
No doubt the Black Briar family has eyes as well as runners on the road, meaning I couldn't take my belongings or anything that may mark me as well as having to avoid all the main roads and use wilderness paths. I've also had someone enter town and gather information on how the thieves guild takes in recruits.
With all of that done, it was now time to sweep into the criminal underworld and try not to get too disgusted with myself while doing it.

I'm genuinely surprised how, don't really know if this will be strong enough to phrase it but, incompotent the Thieves Guild actually is. I may have been a walking stereotype but this man talks openly about crime where he's got a witness close to ear. He told me to steal a ring and plant it in another person's pocket just to "teach someone a lesson" despite the fact that the person who is being taught a lesson needs to know whose teaching them. This was just a terrible prank.
Now I'm not an expert thief, but growing up in a bandit family you had to learn how to get your food or end up starving, so planting the ring was easy, just doing an outrageous pose while doing it was the hard part.
After the bizarre "distraction" Brynjolf gave, a snake oil salesman act that I'm surprised no one has ran him out of town for, he tells me he was surprised it went so well despite the luck they were having. I made a sarcastic reply about how talking about their plans in front of everyone was a dumb idea but he ignored it. Told me to get to this "Ragged Flagon" through the ratway.
That place was a wild ride of crazies. But I got there and... Were these people serious? The place was defended by an obviously placed string trap, and this hideout is a complete dump. Theres being a Thieves guild but then theres this. No laundry to mend and sell stolen clothing, no area to clean and maintain tools, no practice locks, no agility course, it's just a bar. They wonder why they have so much bad luck and it's all just incompetence... I can bet a solid fortune none of them know roof walking. They all jst hang out and get drunk.
Whatever. I have to rough up two people for debts or something. Common thuggery.

Well, getting the debt was easy enough. In fact, I didn't collect the debt at all. I just said I was collecting the landlord's rent, flashed the mark of the mine and told them to just "Act like they're paying their debt" while I acted menacing.
So I report back to Brynjolf and he bitches and moans about how their little guild isn't doing so well and brings me into the fold. Turns out that the Ragged Flagon wasn't the guild, oh no, it was something just comical.
At least they had training dummies, because as they said they're "Not the Dark Brotherhood" yet here they are... Firing arrows at targets... So uh, totally on the no-kill thing huh? No smoke bombs or- No those are just regular arrows.
I think one of the worst features too is that they have an entrance to the heart of their hideout in the ceiling. Yes the natural lighting is nice, but now I can see why they have nothing but trash and old worn out furniture. Someone came in while everyone was out and lifted it all through the ceiling. No doubt taking their lists of fences, dead drops, house maps, everything. No this wasn't a thieves guild at all.
Well, at least it will be extremely easy to take control of this bad joke when all is said and done. I'm genuinely surprised the Black-Briar family had been hiring these clowns.

Just google the names and you'll do fine. Theres a lot of graphical mods which'll require ENB that'll be worth it, and as for the PatchusMaximus.esp that's part of the installation for Perkus Maximus which is essential to making game play enjoyable because it offers up tons of play styles including making and using dwemmer automatons. Theres also a couple mods in there like Apocolypse that'll add hundreds of new spells with amazing effects as well as enchants. So it'll make the game into a proper RPG. If the numbers are throwing you off though I pruned some mods, still need to prune some more, that I just don't use and were wasting load space. If you see something you won't use then don't download it. In any case good luck and hope to see some of your posts.
Oh by the way, use Mod Organizer. It's finicky to get set up but once you do you'll have a mod manager that won't fuck up your base game when you install and uninstall mods unlike Nexus Mod Manager

They're going to send me to this "Goldenglow Estate". A bee farm. And they want me to burn down hi- I'm sorry, how is this a thieves guild again? This is jus- No, calm down. This if you think about it it'll only get more stupid. At least they want me to clean out the safe but... If the guy can't make money off his bees how will he pay in the future? What's even worse is that if the owner of the estate tries stopping me then I have to kill him, which goes against this "No-kill" code, but they order me to kill him if he- Fucking...
The stupidity of these people is beyond me. And I'm the fat-ass in ridiculous armor who dyed his fur black just to do this!
The time to do this though was good. During a torrential storm I was obscured even more and I used one of my new spells called "Ghost Walk" to investigate the place, allowing me to cast the spell and project myself within a limited time to see the defenses before the spell would time out, put me back to where I was and have a look again.
The mercenary crew on hand looked like they knew what they were doing but a little bit of scouting and a "Blink step" later and I got to where I needed to be. Close to the bee hives. And with a few thrown torches they were up in flames.
As for getting the deed of sale, that was a lot simpler. I just had to backtrack through the ratworks until I found this opening. A blinkstep up and I bypassed all the security and snagged the prize. Again, I genuinely don't think this is an actual thieves guild.
However, getting the real prize no one has considered was a more difficult task. I took care of the guard in the basement by a blinding spell, made my way up to the top floor, and then used ghost step to steal this bee.
Why steal a bee? Better question is: why would a honey dealer keep a bee in a jar and in their room unless it was important? There were no air holes in the jar and judging by the residue the bee has been in there for a very long time meaning. I don't have to spell it out any further than that.

So I did a good job I guess. So well I got paid 700 to do it, I guess these people really were this desperate for someone with half a brain. And this isn't my taste for work.
I did "so well" in fact that Maven Black-Briar asked for me, the Ebony Wolf by name to meet with her. It says more of how terrible this "Thieves Guild" keeps their secrets that they blabbed who I was. I think my disguise has worked out very well if it's gotten to this point because I really don't want to be associated with these hapless idiots.
And Maven is pretty stupid as well as it turns out. She doesn't deal with "Grey areas" and just absolutes. I don't know how I'm supposed to respect this person in any power when they meet with people in a crowded tavern and don't have the other person sit down. In my dealings with merchants you're perceived with weakness if you're sitting and the other person is standing. It's no wonder she kept the Thieves Guild at hand for so long like this, it's because she can't hire anyone who would respect her authority. Hell I bought her own meadery under her feet.
But I'm being sent to Whiterun for a personal job from her. This aught to be good.
"You see, we at the Thieves Guild don't kill. Now here's the plan: Poison the mead that could very likely kill someone."
After that disaster of a meeting ended, I went out to "Do the job" but along the way a vampire decided to attack Whiterun with a little pet he brought along.
Shadr had told me that the "Shin Know Bees" had a wolf companion. I suppose this will do to help sell the stereotype better, and his lack of fur is pretty interesting to say the least and since his previous owner was beheaded he'll need a good home.

"Hello yes, I am the exterminator come to exterminate."
The gave me was fairly potent but I pulled some strings and got something much weaker and more diluted than the skeever poison. A vat of meed won't break down the amount of poison. Sabjorn also mentioned that his assistant suddenly "disappeared". Now remember: The Thieves Guild doesn't kill, they just murder people innocent people and leave no signs that they were trying to send a message.
While taking care of pest control, turned out the problem was more than just rats, even a mad man whose been living in the depths of the cave connected to the cellar.
After all was said and done though, it was time for the tasting, however it left me with a bit of confusion. The mead was served from one of the pony kegs on the bar which had not been touched since I got there, and I left through the front door of the barn. So that must have meant that all I had done was not worth the effort since the "Honningbrew Reserve" was terrible from the start which alleviates my guilt more than a little.
Theres also the question of why there's such a harsh sentence for serving some bad mead. Putting someone to life imprisonment for that is more than a little harsh.
There was another note from someone I don't give a damn about and a nice decanter I'll make use of in the upstairs. It's back to Riften to deal with the idiots.

I spoke to Maven about the job and she went on about how she's fighting a war on two fronts. Unknowingly one of the people is in front of her, and why you should understand why it's needed to operate in the grey areas, and the other being the owner to a symbol in the papers. If I can find out who the other person is then I can take out two birds with one stone.
As for payment, I'd have to say this really solidifies the amount of power Maven truly has. The best the joke of a Thieves Guild has to offer and she pays them with... An iron dagger with a very weak enchantment. Just by holding it I could tell with how many enchanted items have passed on my hands lately.
Next Mercer tells me theres a lead on the person they're looking for, so i have to go to Solitude. I also got a bit of irony from Brynjolf who said he's glad I'm embracing the ideals of the thieves guild for not wanting to kill them... Despite these people being perfectly fine with murdering the bee keeper and the Whiterun guard captain.
It's Solitude for me.

The Solitude connection was a bit of a disappointment as well. I found the broker and he wants me to steal some wine. I mean gold, jewels, anything, but something you're just going to piss out? Come on man.
No breaking and entering, no lock picking. I just walked in, grabbed the case and walked out. What a shame.
As for Gulum, yeah he had something to do with it, got a bunch of coins to arrange a meeting, but I have to shadow him anyways. I never realized how hard it was to sneak around in full ebony mail, and the fact I never really sneak around because this sort of thing is beneath me, but I'll manage.
I didn't need to worry about it though, tailing him was a joke as he didn't hear my bumbling and stumbling. Or maybe it was the enchants I had put onto my boots to help muffle them? Maybe.
Either way, he went into the East Empire Company warehouse. For the life of me I didn't touch a thing, if the Ebony Wolf is ever linked back to me I can kiss my trade contracts goodbye. But then he went into a hidden cave filled with bandits who were no doubt lifting supplies while they're there. I'll have to have a word with the higher ups about their security. In the meantime they'll be taken care of.
I caught up to Gulum and he told me about some bimbo named Karliah or something. Anyways, he's working for her. Don't know why he didn't say so earlier but oh well. Back to the goons.
▶ No.82668>>82672
>>82660
But first, I had to stop and tell them about the bandit cave within. Let them think the Ebony Wolf is some vigilante for justice or something for taking care of the problem.
I finally got to Riften and told Mercer about... Wow I can't even remember her name at the moment, but he started freaking out. Said something about how she betrayed the guild by killing his predecessor and I just had to sit there straight face trying not to burst out laughing at how they keep saying they're against killing but seem to revel in it.
Anyways, I relayed the message about where she might be being "Where the end began" and I tried to say how it's an obvious trap but he talked right over me and wanted to go right after her. It's like is this guy serious? The place could just be filled with hired men or she'll blast the entrances once we're in and bury us alive. But this "Guild leader" has no concept of thinking between the lines and is just as much of a common thug as the rest, one who thinks way too highly of themselves.
So I get there and he says he knows she's here. I ask if he saw her and of course he says "No" but he says he killed her horse. A horse he can't even be sure belonged to her. A horse that could have belonged to literally any adventurer who delves into these ruins. I can't believe the incompetence of this guy.
Worst of all, this "Master Thief" wants me to lead the way and is afraid I might set off traps and warn her. Long story short is the man is a damn coward and I was wondering why there was so much yellow snow around the place. Nothing says leadership when you have to say you're in charge.
Mercer's whining. It won't end. He drags his feet unlocking the door, complains I'm too loud despite his loud ass talking, oh the smell is bad, he sets off a spike wall trap, and he walks into one of those strange draugr spells and gets his ass knocked out of the fight. Hell this is the first time he's seen the use of bone chimes.
The worst part is that he keeps awakening the draugr and fighting them when the aim of the game is to sneak around them. He's a klutz, the Death Hound is more adept at stealth! I'm wondering what exactly is stopping me from making sure he doesn't leave this place alive.
After employing hit and run tactics, laying fire runes I managed to rescue the damn idiot from getting himself killed. But turns out it would have been better off if he died.
Dumb bitch shot me with a paralytic arrow which was supposed to be for him, but then Mercer tried to kill me. So Karl patched me up and, fucking hell I just want to be done with this.
My path now goes to the College of Winterhold. I've got to stock p on more spells anyways, and get this journal translated.

Three of these jackasses were Nightingales, Gallus is dead, Karl is getting revenge on Mercer but was fucking stupid about it, Mercer is incompetent and has fucked over the thieves guild beyond repair. They open up the vault and surprise-surprise it's fucking empty. I'm being sent to find Mercer and have been given more reasons why to remove the Black-Briars.
As for Mercer's house. It's confusing how a supposed "Master Thief" just leaves so many things open. An arrow to a gear box, running past all his traps and... So the plans are that he's going after the Eyes of the Falmer, some ancient Snow Elf treasure. My confusion is why he needed detailed plans that only amounted to: Go into ruin, pry out the gems, sell them, get rich. It's more than a little confusing.
Moreover is Karliah dragging us to talk with her, then sending us to some place in the mountains, got us in these weird ass outfits, wanted us to make an oath to Nocturnal and then... She can't even get the gate open. Just kept pulling the lever over and over again. Eventually I had to get in there and pull the lever, and then I just flat out refused to take the oath. Like hell I'm going to "Guard" something in whatever afterlife I get.
However, the step to my goal is just a bit closer. Mercer is planning on handing control of the guild to me, the guy who only showed up a few days ago and despite having no talent for this stuff has proven to be the best of the crowd by not being a dumb ass. My grand talent in the damn guild is fucking common sense.

After Mercer died the place started to fall apart as a number of contrivances occurred. From the room just filling up with water, a convenient exit opening. I was then sent to the Twilight Sepulcher to return the Skeleton Key, something I'm hoping to keep my hands on because screw all of this.
Gallus was there, putting to point of just the kind of hell I'd have to go through if I actually took that "Oath" to Nocturnal. Standing around in a dead ruin. Forever. No one to talk to except two idiots. I'd rather take oblivion over anything like that.
But anyways, he wants me to put the key back. However, when you're a master smith whose familiar with the ins-and-outs of the finer details.
I made it through, solved every childish puzzle including one where you avoided the light because it burned. I've got a speculation that the Skeleton Key is nothing more than a plug as everything within was more mechanical than anything else. It's time to see if the fake I made works.

Now it's time to take out the last bit of the Black-Briar underworld, that being their Skooma trade.
Redwater Den, the beginning and end for all of Black-Briar's skooma trade. Everyone within has to go, nobleman from worker it all has to end. They knew the stakes when they took a job that was obviously illegal, at any moment an Imperial troupe could have wiped the place clean. This will be one good deed for the Ebony Wolf's last hurrah. But I found out that there were other things brewing in here than skooma.
The Black-Briars have been dealing with vampires, supplying them with addicts and victims in turn for profits. There was even a fountain of something like blood. The Ebony Wolf's work is not done, the heads of the hyrdra have to be cut off.

Lastely, I waited for Maven to leave Mistveil Keep, it's damning to have a very predictable schedule. After telling her of what happened to her children and how the last will forever be imprisoned, I cut her down and her guard retinue. The steps of the keep ran red that day.
But theres one person left that let all of this happen, someone who fed into the corruption by giving one family far too much power that brought an entire hold into fear with their own people "disappearing", who let vampires operate a skooma den, and worst of all: Made me deal with the bullshit from that joke of a "Thieves Guild."

Hail the new Jarl of Riften.
It was a hard fought battle. Guards all over, her personal retinue getting in the way, and a Stormcloak General of all people in attendance and mucking things up. But she had reaped what she sowed, a city where dirty coin outweighs the good people and you get the way of bandit politics: The strongest leads.
Now I'm not some "holier than thou" arbiter of justice. Far from it. I just want to make my profits and I don't want the people I'm selling to dying like flies and other people reaching into their pockets like the Black-Briar family was doing, and the Jarl was allowing. My takeover was planned well enough to allow for no power void since I control all of the factions of Riften. Thankfully, Riften hadn't taken a side in the war, but was leaning towards the Stormcloaks.
As for Riften. I left things in the now capable hands of Shadr. Months working in the mine and training with the guards has made him more formidable than what he used to be, and especially more dangerous than the people who came before him. Not to mention, the "new" Thieves Guild will be at his beck and call as well as providing security so he doesn't suffer an untimely death. Not to mention the Death Hound will be keeping him well protected.
The Ebony Wolf is till the Jarl, Shadr is just keeping his seat warm and taking his duties while he's off stopping evil or something, at least that's the story.
As for myself, it's good to get the oil out of my fur and into my proper steel, wielding my trusty spear and shield. I can see the benefits of being a mage after partially playing the role of one, but juggling spells might get a bit too chaotic for me. Will the Ebony Wolf make a return? Who knows. Maybe if the opportunity is right.
As for now, I deserve a nice and huge meal.

Following rumors, I found a dwemmer ruin that's being occupied by bandits. They weren't the strongest bunch, but there were a bunch of them.
Heading in though, they seemed to have set up camp fairly well, but more importantly, these bandits were hired by someone else. I didn't want to put an arrow in him, but he had a hammer looking to bash my head in. He gave me an idea though, seems everything is getting stronger and a party to watch my back.
Going through, I found a platform that took me down what looked like an ancient marketplace full of falmer. These ruins would be perfect for a city, but no one wants to settle them like they had with Markarth. So what if it's underground? That can become more defensible if you plan it right.
After clearing out some clogs in the machinery, I had to fight off a centurion. One of these days I'd really like to make one of these machines, hell an entire fortress of automation and defenses.
Fighting machines are hell on the blade. Metal on metal dulls the blade fast. But I ran into an old friend. I don't get ghosts but I didn't think they could haunt multiple spots. But with this shard means theres one more left.

>You can make one, it's just you have to pick "No schlong" when you've got SOS installed.
No, that causes your character to permanently have his underwear on (that is, to use the default body model, which is understandably going to be the one with underwear on if it's non-default body models that take the underwear off, as is the case in SOS). Because that's what it means to not have an SOS schlong enabled.

Is it still worth it to play regular Skyrim with mods, not the Special edition?
I want the game to be realistic in both combat (parry, grabs, movement, and etc.), survival (food, water, carry bags, temperature, and etc.), and body manipulation (exercise, fat, injury, and etc.).
I haven't tried modded btw TwT

The search for the final shard is proving difficult as I scour the wilds for more dwemmer ruins, finding more caves. Some interesting, others not so much. However, I came to a place that was... Odd.
To escape a sudden storm that happened as I was about to set up camp, I saw the ruins of a tower. Thinking to get out of the storm that way, I naturally went in. However, I was immediately hit with a sense of dejavu. Something about this place was far too familiar.
The place seemed to be an abandoned Imperial prison, I found a note that was fairly damning of all the former convicts. Not a one left alive, and I've even seen their ghosts wandering around the cells.
I decided to follow one of the ghosts along the cell block until it came to the end, where the ghost suddenly became blood thirsty. It was fairly weak to say the least, but I opened the door and found myself in a room.
I knew this room. I've seen it before, but there was something different about it. The cup full of lock picks, the stacks of boxes and barrels, the bed. The only thing missing was a statue to Mara. I remember going to sleep in that bed and waking up on the shores of Solsthiem near to death.
What does this mean? What exactly happened to me? I don't think I'll get all of the answers, but something is clearly not right. I'll have to investigate this as soon as I can, but I can't let it control my thoughts or I'll end up with an axe to the throat soon enough.
I decided to sleep in the rain that night.

Over SE, definitely.
Perkus Maximus and combined with TK's Dodge is giving me a souls-style combat, but you'll have to get improved AI to really make it shine. Add on Wintermyst Enchantments for a shit-ton of enchantments and you're going to have a great time exploring because some NPC can have the right enchantment/weapon combos to really screw you over.
Frostfall combined with iNEED blows the joke of SE's "Survival" mode out of the water, for starters, being wet actually matters and you could get royally screwed rather than minorly inconvenienced that SE offers if you're not paying attention.
As for fat and exercise, no dice on that, I'm using Bodyslide to make this boy fat.
You're going to have a wider variety of mods because every great modder was working on Skyrim before they got bored and people are not that enthused on redoing all their work for SE.

The next morning I left that area immediately.
The storm had cleared up and it was a beautiful day. I ended up finding a shrine to Talos next to a pond I was planning on swimming in. When I examined the statue a panther caught my attention.
She must have fallen for the dragon lunacy as well, she was obsessed with hunting dragons, planning on using the giant camps to lure them. If they were real, I'd say that's a great idea in killing two birds with one stone.
So we ran to the camp she was planning to use. Surprise: There were no dragons. So we killed the giants instead. Once that was done we parted ways.
Where I went, I ran into an unusual group of bandits. From the inscriptions on their swords they were called the "Silver Hand" all specializing in using silver weapons. They also had an unusual amount of werewolf heads on stakes. I have to say though, I'm getting better at dodging around arrows.
I went through their hideout and found that they were slaughtering werewolves. Now I might be biased because I'm a werewolf fucker, but it seems a bit extreme to hunt exclusively werewolves, they may be beasts of Hircine, one of the very few Daedric Lords I can respect, but they still have a bit of intelligence if you can reach them.
All of them were fairly untrained, I was able to sweep through them with startling ease, perhaps because they're used to fighting something else, but their leader was a bit more well trained, even wearing an authentic set of the armor I had been selling. It was nice to recover it, and I can resell it soon.
However, I did find a still alive, though near death werewolf on some sort of alter. They had been torturing it from what I could tell, using an iron dagger to make their cuts. I decided to take it upon myself to bring the beast back to health, it'll take too long for his regeneration to take over but it'll be worth the effort if it can be managed.

It's not so much of a vagina mod, it's more of a Ken Doll situation. You can still put the idea in your mind theres a vagina there. But from what I found is that underwear is attaches to the skeleton somehow. When you remove the bone for the underwear it doesn't attach at all.

Once the werewolf was back to full health, it decided to return the favor. But once that was done, it was off to the woods to do who knows what.
As for my travels, it took me to various caves, many of them with damnable "conjurers" and mages that had the worst shocking spells.
But afterwards, my search hit with a stroke of luck as I found an old Dwemmer storehouse. I met up with an familiar face but something seemed very odd. Why wasn't the place looted? It seemed untouched after centuries and there were no defenses aside from a few meager locks on gates, but sure enough there was the shard.
With all of the pieces it's time to go to The Forge.

True, but this is very strange and weird offshoot of events during the creation of Nirn where bestial races became dominant and widely varied, and humans making a terrible mistake and ending up killing themselves off during the times of dragons, but Dwemmer still managed to make their own disappearing act.
You have a point though, and a bad warrior would allow for accidental nickings in the mix. But with all the fur everyone has things even out with less clothing. As for the exposed bits, there have been issues with comfort across the board, not to mention a lot of females tend to be packing surprises with the entirety of the female hyenas being hermaphroditic. It also helps with attracting mates Had to channel the autism for this, oof

On my way to the forge I found a strange cave entrance with caged wolves. Something was clearly not right about it. I was attacked by what I thought was a bandit but he had the fairly basic arms and training of a common bouncer. Hell two wacks of the shield and he dropped dead.
When I got in though, what I saw made me sick. I didn't forget everything I learned while masquerading as the "Ebony Wolf" as I snuck the rest of the way in. It was an underground dog fight ring.
So I did what any sane person would do and put everyone involved to the blade, or in my case, the spear. Which meant every gambler and all of the staff.
As for the boss running the ring, they called him The Butcher. The way he swung the axe made me believe it. But either way, his head went rolling. Searching his body I found another set of the carved armors I had made and not another knock-off. It's a damn shame I'm finding these on the worst types of people, but it seems being the worst is high paying. Not everyone can start a mining and smithing trade empire, but honest work is more rewarding in the long run, especially if it lets you keep your head. I'll have to release the wolves that have been caged, with no telling how long they may have been locked up with little food. But the pit-wolf will have to be taken care of properly to undo the abuse it must have been through.
Either way, this might cause a slight couple of detours, to not only rehabilitate but socialize the wolf. Like it or not, I don't think it will do well going back into the wild.

In a non-descript spot that I had passed several times before, I noticed Katria lingering, so it must have been important. We inserted the key pieces into a mechanism and the entrance to The Forge was revealed.
After a long fight of it's guardians it was time to finally put it to use. It used Aetherium, something everyone had thought no longer existed, except for what was left in the keys. Being a master smith, I managed to use all of the Aetherium that was left to create the only blueprints available.

After that was all done, I decided to do some cave diving to see if I could find any more treasures. After all, if it could bring about something like the Dwemmer artifacts then it's worth a shot.
My first stop was in an ancient crypt. Now I'm one for patience but this one wore me to the bone. When I reached the end of the tomb, I had to fight a draugr that decided to make copies of himself. He'd do that damn talking magic and send me flying across the room over and over. Killing him and burning his body was too satisfying, though he had a strange necklace I decided to take. Might be worth something to someone, you never know.
On the road I found someone who was attacked by bandits. I didn't bother stopping to help him, if he was stupid enough to go out on his own without being properly prepared he could die on his own. Having him along would just endanger me in the long run. I also want to know why bandits would even leave him alive which only made things suspicious.
My last stop for the day was an old ruin that was flooding with falmer. They didn't last too long but they oddly had a living captive. His name was Derkeethus and he was glad to be out of the that situation and asked to join up with me. I agreed, gladly, and when we got out into the light I finally got a good look at him and... It would be a good idea to find an inn soon.

While Shar is busy with his reconstruction efforts, I've been told to keep an update on things.
My name is- was Lazarus.
I came to Skyrim from Cyrodil with my family, the son of a field general before the war efforts and we had been permanently relocated to the province.
When the war had started, it wasn't long until my father and brothers were among the casualties. I tried to do my best for my mother, we had relocated to Rifen due to the costs, but problems had worsened.
Maven Blackbriar had a heavy influence over the Jarl, and with that a laxing of the hold's laws. In turn, the support of Stormcloaks played int Maven's hands as the recovered papers had shown, she was going to make a sizable seize of lands within the hold with the turmoil. If the Stormcloaks were to have won the war, the lawlessness that would have ensued would have brought in a slave trade unlike any the Empire had seen before.
How did this affect me? The "stationed" Stormcloaks found out my mother was married to one of the generals and murdered her in cold blood, and had almost got me too. The guard however turned a blind eye. I had escaped, working at the Heartwood Mill from the age of ten to eighteen.
On my eighteenth summer I made my way to Riften and saw the bloodshed that had covered the steps of Mistveil Keep. The man with the black blade, holding the head of Jarl Lailia's head in one hand and that cutter in the other. And there I was with my iron dagger looking to plunge it into that witch's heart. The revenge I came for had already been done.
The guards that covered the streets though, I don't think I would of had a chance, but I wish I could have. They called him the "Ebony Wolf", and he put a puppet on the Jarl's seat to help clean up the mess the city had become.
The low rent, the cleaning of the streets, the clearing and sealing of the Ratway, Dagon's fires they even have a work and labor problem that will end the unemployment once and for all. To my shock the "Standing Jarl" was my childhood friend Shadr.
From what I remember he had been a stable hand since I've known him, seeing him in full ebony armor was a shock. I brought my grievances, yelled of my lost revenge... And then he let me in on the secret.
There is no man with the black blade. There is no Ebony Wolf. It was a fat merchant and a daedra of a fighter at that. I got to meet him as well on his last visit. That's when my life took a sharp turn.
At the start I escorted him on the trade routes from Riften, to Windhelm, and finally to Winterhold. Along the way he had trained me day and night in working the blade. From wooden sticks and bruises to long swords and larger bruises. Wearing the heaviest and most unwieldy armor, using all forms of weapons melee, ranged, and thrown. Before I've never understood the value of throwing a torch but when he doused the road in oil and before a group of bandits arrived, I don't think I'll get the screams out of my head for a long time.
Turns out though the college had more plans for me when he dropped me off and paid for an Emperor's tuition. I had never seen so much gold exchange hands in my life. But I used my time, my studies, to become a master in both Alteration and Illusion arts. He said I had to be better than him in those fields and I exceeded, proving I had a natural talent for magecraft, I even got my adept's degree in destruction magic.
My time in college done, it was time to go back to riften, to hone my muscles even further. I was even tasked with dragging a caravan while the lovable fat-ass whipped me along. Bladework intensified and soon I met his approval.
Afterwards, his plans were revealed when he gave me a package. Fifty thousand gold, the deed to Honeyside, a set of black armor, a strange rock full of runes, a bow, and the black blade.
I was told to learn my own spells, go over his notes in enchanting, and bring back the law to the lawless Rift and if possible beyond. I was to become the Ebon Wolf, the Man with the Black Blade.
The house has been outfitted for all the essentials I need, protective wards, work shop, the works. The only thing missing is the Ebony Wolf's hound which both Shadr and Shar had said would be covered when the time is right as long as I kept the rock on me.
Tomorrow I start my new life as The Ebony Wolf.

It had taken a while, but all of the lawlessness of Riften has been wiped clean. Open trade in the streets with the finest goods coming from the north with the return of the Khajiit traders, food is plentiful, the "stationed" Stormcloaks executed, and the Thieves Guild decapitated. Riften's walls are finally not a prison keeping the good people in, but a fortification to keep the bad out.
The last holdout was a hedge wizard who crawled out from the wilderness, but he was easily done in with a simple blink-step and a stab in the back.
I've heard the words around me though, people were wondering where the "Hound of the Ebon Wolf" was, and hearing rumors that the Dark Brotherhood's attention was pointing towards Riften.
There had been a recent assassination attempt on Steward Shadr, but we didn't think much of it since it was a colossal failure, involving a poison dart the "assassin" inhaled. But to remove yet another threat to the good people of Skyrim, I've got to keep the promise I made to the fat bastard. I'll have to deal with them one way or another.
That strange stone I was given though, I'll have to make heads and tails of it on my way to Whiterun. Shar told me that I used it, the value was astronomical and many wizards would murder just to get a glimpse of it. It was a ready made ritual that requires a dark place to cast it in. I'll have to find such a place as I make my way to Windhelm, where rumors of a Dark Brotherhood ritual was taking place and I could intercept.
(Sorry for the long awayness. PC died and I had to work my ass off to make a new one. I will never buy pre-built again 'cus this is amazing. Faster loading times and everything. I was making my way to Windhelm, I had to go on foot as a vigilante showing up on a wagon wouldn't seem to have a very good effect on the people, it also afforded me the time to find a good spot to activate the ritual.
I didn't know what I had in store for myself, as the details were vague. Find a dark and protected spot and simply "activate" it. So along the way, I managed to find a Daedric worshiper's hideout, and it seemed to be the best place to get things started.
Thankfully nothing blew up, but a summoning portal did open and out stepped...
I had to hide my surprise at what exactly I had unleashed, but daedric fires was he hung. Then I began to feel the pressure in my mind, something was off, something told me that the ritual wasn't complete. Far from it.
From the haze that was coming over my mind, all I really remember was something along the lines that "Blood had to be shared" and "A deeper bond to be formed". Before I knew it, I was suddenly out of my armor and on my knees, he did the rest.
Reflecting on it now, I should have seen this coming. From what I learned at the college, this wasn't an uncommon ritual, but it would tie the summoned daedra, it's just that it wasn't often done as it often meant should the person's spirit prove to be weaker, their life force and soul would be consumed by the summoned.
Did Shar really have that much faith in me? Or did he not realize what could have happened. But as soon as I felt the metal jaws clamp on my neck, and the hot seed flowing through me, I learned that not only did I have a true companion in this life, but further beyond.
That didn't stop me from passing out though.

It was pretty late when we finally reached Windhelm, and a major snow storm picked up too. I'm starting to realize why Shar stressed so much about being prepared for the road and always wore that heavy backpack wherever he went, it wasn't just to store his wares but valuable survival tools as well.
To keep my mind off of the cold, and the uneven terrain, and the nagging growling of my stomach, I started talking to my companion.
It wasn't so much that he talked back, it was just that I could get a feeling about where he might be getting at, like his own hunger, his curiosity, among other things. I even managed to gleam his name, Charon.
As for any significance that name might hold, I didn't follow where he was leading. Maybe with more time and I'll get the answer to that. As for my business in Windhelm, I had to start asking around. But not before I made contact with one of fat bastard's associates and got some rest.
It didn't take long to find him, he was going over a delivery with another, me and Charon patiently listened on the details of bandits in the area. I offered my hand in help but I'd need to get some rest first.
After some talking about how I was supposed to find any contact with the Dark Brotherhood, Revyn told me about some kid working on doing a ritual to get their attention. Needless to say, the kid has no idea what he's getting himself into.
My yawning throughout became uncontrollable, Revyn made the offer to share his bed for the night. I couldn't help but accept. A bed shared is just that much warmer, and comfortable. My search could easily take place in the morning.

After a solid night's "rest" it was time to investigate on the lead. However, the casualness and open attitude about someone committing the Black Sacrament is not only jarring but speaks to the strange nature of Windhelm's public. I heard there was a murder that they still haven't even investigated the crime scene, trails of blood and everything uncleaned.
The guards were something, but a kid and a lady openly talking about it in such a casual manner was throwing me through a loop, and right in front of the manor it was being performed in. But this was the place, so I had to head in. I'm having Charon watch the outside to make sure no one comes in after.
What in the Eights damned...?
Where would a kid even learn this kind of thing? Who am I kidding though, theres books lying around unchecked, though why do they always think this stuff will solve all of their problems?
But the kid has problems, many problems. He had been doing the Sacrament over and over, and where did he even get the body? I wouldn't be surprised if the damn kid did the murder that the citizens are talking about. But he thinks that I'm from the Dark Brotherhood.
When you need to bluff, sometimes you just need to stay silent. No I wasn't shocked to silence by the fact a crazy kid like this was doing that. But that seemed like the right thing to do as he just kept talking. He was an orphan and wanted to kill the Headmistress of the orphanage back in Riften. Just one snag...
Grelod died not too long after the "hostile takeover" something about the shock of seeing so many bodies littering the streets and her old heart not being able to take it. This entire time the strange kid had been doing this over and over, and I don't know what to say... It's best to just head to Riften, check on a few things, and just head back. Pretend to "do the job" when the "job" was done a long time ago.
So I just went home and took a nap. For a couple of days.
I returned and... The kid just assumed the job was done, asked for no details and just gave me a plate. Excellent.
This lead was a total dead end though, I'll just have to bide my time and see if another opportunity pops up.

The kid is more fucked up in more ways than that. His fur should have made him comfortable enough, but he was insisting on the ridiculous cloth he was wearing to coat his legs it seemed. The summer months must be a nightmare because even my balls get uncomfortable when things heat up.
But what really makes this kid strange is that after casing the place for a few days to see if any Dark Brotherhood showed up, he was still in the house. He didn't go out for food, he didn't even seem to have running water in or near the home.
I figured out how to do cub content by accident messing with skeletons, so if that's a thing you all want I can probably find something that'll fit in.
But with everything quiet in Windhelm, for now, I went back to Riften. For a few days I rested, having nothing going on, and I finally found out what that extra store room was for, it was the original place I was supposed to summon Charon, though it does make for a good space for him. Leaving him there I finally decided to get my alchemy training done.
It didn't last long, as Charon is more than a little needy when he needs attention, and after a day's journey and a day of quiet, he had a way of showing it. Naturally, I gave in.
After I put Charon up for the night and to get some rest of my own, something was off. I woke up in some shack with a crazy lady just sitting on a book shelf. I wasn't sure if she was trying to look intimidating, but she was clearly not impressing. Were I going to fight her, not only is she backed in a corner but in a spot where she could easily be incapacitated by "falling book shelf on leg" syndrome. Clearly, she wasn't the sharpest tool, and her wardrobe matched the Dark Brotherhood uniform.
Turns out, it was. They came back to the manor and the kid blabbed about what happened, now they assume I took the job when there never was one in the first place. I only gleaned this information because I was taught that crazy people want to really go into detail about what happens, and if you just remain silent, they'll just spill out all the details. Now she wants me to kill one of three people she brought as well. Which just makes things even more odd. The trouble of kidnapping four people, risking one of them waking up and ruining all your plans really seems counter productive.
Just remaining silent, she took it as agreement, so I had to see what I was in for. I made the obvious choice in the criminal khajiit and... She invited me to join the Dark Brotherhood. Why? I didn't ask because I remained silent and just let her spill out her nonsense. Giving a complete stranger their home base, let alone one who is known for being a vigilante.
I made up my mind to head there, get in their good graces, make some gold, and cripple them just like how the Thieves Guild was destroyed.
Only problem is, the dumb woman left me in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night, in the middle of a raging storm.
At least Charon found his way here.

Well. It was a massive storm, and I walked the entire way through it. Was it worth it? Well the door that clearly marks where the Dark Brotherhood is seems so. Which is making me wonder why no one has found it. It's even off the side of the road!
When I got in, it was... What even was this, it was like that group of teenagers that dress in dark clothing and groan about how "Life is unfair." Being a survivor of having my family butchered, I have more say than a Jarl's son to say how shit life in Skyrim can be. All of them in uniforms, and just bragging about how they killed someone. If that's your mark of accomplishment, it must be an unfulfilling life. I'll have a great time taking them down when I figure out how things run.
Here's a profile on them:
Babette: Claims to be a vampire over three hundred years old, which would place her directly in the events of the Oblivion Crisis.
Immediately I had my doubts, true she had the tell-tale red eyes of a vampire, but vampirism isn't a miracle "Stop aging" process, or there would be many more. True, vampirism is a state of undeath, but from what I've heard is that infected children will continue to grow, not realizing they have the disease until it takes them suddenly, a longer form of the three-day gestation process as the disease needs it's host to be fitting to be able to take the radical transformation and "survive." My further point is that when pressed to answer questions about the time period she came from, using information I had read at the College library, she refused to answer or acknowledge.
My best guess is that she's a girl that plays a little too much in alchemy and managed to change her eye color through dyes as evidenced by the "Face Sculpter" as their tools included such sets before he was executed. The Dark Brotherhood keeps her around because she must have actually fooled them, which seems to be fairly easy as they are very gullible.
Arnbjorn:
A former member of the "Companions", Skyrim's answer to the Fighter's Guild. From requested records, he was kicked out of the faction because he had been resorting to methods that were dishonerable, such as using poisons and other means to make up for his lack of strength in the worse sense possible. Going along the lines of "Fight smarter not harder is one thing, but being you actually HAVE to fight."
Upon first glance I suspected that he's a werewolf however, he makes too many "Dog" puns and he goes without boots or gloves, which normally armors are adjusted to suit transformations, however, he seems simply too cheep to finance the necessary modifications.
However, his brain power is lacking as he simply just told me he was a werewolf. Not a smart decision, silver weapons can easily be acquired.
And the color blue gives him a headache... What...
Veezara:
This one is a curious case. He claims to be a Shadowscale and served the ruler of Black Marsh, he also claims he's the last of the order. Many flags were raised with this.
For starters, he had the atypical scales of an Argonian, his scales were not treated for the process at birth as the order requires among many other prerequisites.
Next comes the fact that Shadowscales are indispensable, highly trained assassins which raises questions why one would be in Skyrim, let alone loaned out to an incompetent branch of the Dark Brotherhood. Not to mention, a famous assassin is one who is caught, a truly good assassin is one who is never known. He may have read about the order and decided to pretend he's a part of it. It also explains why he carries a simple steel sword rather than any of the expertly crafted or exotic weapons Shadowscales use.
I've heard of stolen valor when it comes to the Imperial Army, but this is the first case I've heard of it from a guild of assassins.

Gabriella:
Gabriella is a panther khajiit who is a little on the "poetic" side. She is the portrait of what I described earlier about the group of darkly dressed doom-sayer teens, except older. A bit of a sarcastic wit makes her only slightly bearable. But that's the entirety of her character.
If possible, she should be captured alive and made to work off her crimes, which is possibly a very short list, like an accidental murder and getting up in the wrong crowd.
Festus Krex:
One of the few legitimate dangers within the "merry band". I remember hearing about his work during my studies at the college.
Note that this isn't hero worship, but it's no secret he was a prodigy mage since childhood. His methods for the School of Destruction are still being heavily studied, that is until he suddenly left his teaching career at the College, practicing his work on whatever target he's pointed at. I would pay good money just to get a peak at his notes.
When the time comes, I will try to ask him to leave for a bit, or find a way to keep him from being killed and safely detained. Killing him would be a great waste.
And if I'm being honest his attitude is kind of attractive.
Astrid:
The defacto leader of the disorganized bunch and the crazy woman that kidnapped me. Just as well, she's an easy mark and can possibly be manipulated into doing stupid and wreckless things. After all, she kills simply because she "Enjoys killing". Any contract killer or mercenary knows that those types of people typically don't last that long as they put too much emotion in their work, causing them to get reckless and eventually caught rather than treating such work as it is: A job with all the dispassion that comes with it.
Nazir:
The second and last legitimate threat of the group. He's not just a hyena but a true-blooded Redguard Hyena from the deserts. His scimitar looks well cared for and he's more sensible about the actual work. He's the one who will be giving me contracts
With the profiling over, I've been given a stack of contracts to kill... Complete nobodies. Nazir gave surprisingly detailed notes on where to find them. It's dirty work, but to get to the heart of the problem Brotherhood and destroy them from the inside is the primary goal.

Oh by the Eight no... Another freak has showed up while I was away. Is he in a jester costume? Where did he find a jester costume? And he's acting like a jester, just great. He's also wearing that no-doubt unbearable cloth around his legs.
It's part of the job, he'll die like the rest. But one thing of interest, this Cicero apparently has the Night Mother locked up in that box. This just makes things all the more confusing. Why would this jester think to bring the Dark Brotherhood's greatest strength? The power behind their faction?
I'll be more than happy to torch it when all is over. I'm really starting to understand why Shar thinks everyone is crazy.
Anyways, Astrid decided to talk to me, calling Cicero a "muttering fool" when he was just a few steps away. As if he couldn't hear. I'll give the shorty some credit, he didn't knowledge her.
A contract in Markarth. Oh how fun this will be.
Along the way, I ran into a bandit camp and decided to clear it out, especially after finding their clear path. It also gave me the perfect opportunity to test out a kinetic push spell. It proved to be quite fun.
Not long after though, I found another camp, one guarded by two wolves that didn't attack. They were owned by a Saber-tooth. I talked to him and he told me of his quest to find and kill a former friend, for killing another friend. He was impressed that they didn't attack me outright and I tried explaining to him that animals just love me, and how I was taught how to properly handle them.
He didn't believe me, so I had to give a proper demonstration.
We shared the camp for the remainder of the storm and I bid him farewell, offering my help to get his revenge if I ever find the person.

One thing I've noticed on my trips down the roads is how safe they've become. Whether it's roaming knights, better equipment for the Khajiit caravans, it seems law is finally coming to the land of Skyrim aside from the occasional bandit raid. I encountered a lone wolf on the road and managed to get the attention of one of these caravans as they walked along.
Markarth looks more welcoming than it used to be, the fields more tended with the Foresworn attacks dying down after the death of their leader, and more travelers safe on the road. Which makes it a shame that I have to bring a bit more bloodshed to the city.
The Foresworn had one last holdout though. As soon as I saw him draw a weapon, I called a warning to the guard used a kinetic push before he could harm the new butcher. After that, I ran him through with my blade and that was it. Doing some justice will hopefully outweigh what I'm about to do here.
I met with the contact Muiri and drilled her for information. Turns out she had an altruistic reason for getting the Dark Brotherhood involved, to kill a bandit who robbed her and ruined her good name. This is something I'd have done without a contract. The barb was her "bonus offer" of killing a former friend. Needless to say, I refused that part. I'm not getting into family matters, I'm just doing the contract.
Overall, the job was done perfectly. All of the bandits were wiped out, for some reason the target sat himself in front of explosive ballista bolts, lending credence to Shar's theory that everyone is insane.
I took some time to enjoy the mountain air before heading down the road to Markarth.

I returned to the "Sanctuary" and now I'm being played between two insane people. One overly paranoid, the other just muttering to themselves.
Astrid is assuming "Betrayal" so she wants me to hide in the... Night Mother's coffin. I was keeping silent but I sincerely wanted to object to that, no doubt what diseases could have festered in there. But that does present an opportunity to plant an explosive while I'm in there...
In the meantime, I'd better entertain it, I'll place a fire rune within, Cicero went on about how he tends to the corpse, I could get two birds with one stone.
By the eight, this is so fucked up.
Cicero was indeed rambling nonsense, and I got the feeling that on more than one occasion he violated the Night Mother's corpse. Then the worst happened, the damn thing spoke to me. I was too busy being disgusted to catch much of it, but apparently I'm the "Listener" now.
Lovely.
Cicero began to freak out about that knowledge. Astrid busted in spewing her paranoia nonsense and the two had a back and forth until she started talking to me. The day I burn this place to the ground can't come any sooner, and apparently now I have a position of power. Now it's just a matter of putting the pawns in the right places and ending the Moody Teenager Club.
But the Night Mother tasked me in going to Volunruud, however, Astrid in her controlling paranoia put an axe to that and told me to do contracts for now.
Fantastic, more boring work.
▶ No.93321>>93322 >>93329
The first contract and supposedly the most difficult was killing a vampire named "Hern". It was easy because... He was out and about in daylight. It didn't make any sense.
Second contract was killing the supposedly "Worst Bard in Skyrim"
It was true. His singing is awful. But you can't fault a guy for having a passion. I simply said he should change his name because the Dark Brotherhood is after him and they are easily fooled. Funny enough that worked and I was paid for both contracts.
Upon returning to the hideout, Astrid decided to throw her insanity at me yet again and now she wants me to go to Volunruud.
By the eight I will enjoy taking her down.
On my journey there, we ended up stumbling upon a saber cat sunning itself on a rock. It's rare to find them when they are not hunting and therefore docile. Though their alchemical ingredients are well saught after, it's nice to finally find one not wanting to tear faces off. It made the trip really feel worth it. Until I got there.
I met with the client there, and they had a very lofty goal of... Killing the Emperor. He expects that his band of dimwits and crazies will kill the Emperor. Then again, he thinks he's dealing with the real deal Dark Brotherhood.
All I have to do is deliver the letter and we'll see what happens.

So I returned to the hideout and... Astrid accepted it. Which is just a terrible idea. Now I'm supposed to travel to Riften to meet a fence to appraise the amulet that came with the letter, and it seems no one has told them about the Riften Reformation, and the subsequent death of the Thieves Guild.
In any case, that just means I get a few days to myself and plan out exactly how I'll screw over whatever they might be planning.
Along the road I ran into someone who had deep enough pockets to buy Shar's improved armor. However, it wasn't the whole set and left him with a mismatch of weapons. He challenged me to a duel and it didn't end well for him. Turns out coinage doesn't beat raw skill.
When I arrived, the best option was to talk to my old friend Shadr and see if I could get any advice from him. Thankfully he's as kind as he was when we were kids, before I had to skip town. It was good he finally came to a good point in his life and is handling things.
He had the fence I was supposed to meet waiting for trial, so it was a simple exchange to get him to appraise and write up the "credit" promised to Astrid in return for a staying from the noose.
But with business done, it was time Shadr and I caught up on things.

It was a fun couple of nights with Shadr, though we didn't leave his room the entire time. Thankfully the new staff of the hold were able to handle things without him. But the work was done and it was time for me to leave with the "letter of credit" in hand.
It was suggested that I'll play along, there were some corrupted members in the Imperial legion and they were around the Emperor. But I was given under no terms to kill the Emperor himself. My trickery so far had been enough to dupe the Dark Brotherhood, the Night Mother's influence isn't all powerful after all.
So the first step in this is to kill Vittoria Vicci and at her wedding nonetheless. This provides some major issues, such as the fact Shar has strong ties to the East Empire Trade Company and is known to deal with the Ebony Wolf. Vittoria handles the Skyrim branch of the companies deals. Killing her would essentially kill off outside trade with Shar's mine. So it was time to conduct a plan.
To put it straight, I told them exactly what was going on: The Dark Brotherhood wanted her dead, and I'm working on bringing them down from the inside. Needless to say they didn't believe me at first, until I had told them of Amaund Motierre ordering the contract and the things clicked in place.
Babette had said earlier that one of the gargoyles were loose. How she knew about it was beyond me since she never leaves the cave, but it was a hunch to go on. It didn't take long for a replica gargoyle to be made using pillows and a fair bit of illusion magic, then replacing the old gargoyle with it.
All she had to do was play along, feign death from the falling "statue" and lie low for a few weeks while everything was sorted out.
Turns out, it was the right thing to do. Astrid in her paranoia didn't think I'd follow through and sent the "Shadow Scale" Veezara to help. He came in sword drawn as if he wouldn't draw attention so he was apprehended quickly.
Upon searching him he had taken detailed notes about my movements and how I had "killed" Vittoria. I also found in his journal about how he was planning to kill me before I went into the sanctuary and taking my stuff, saying how he had completed the job in my stead.
It didn't take long for the court scribes to match his handwriting, to take his notes, and make it into an "accurate report" about my work and how he jumped on a ship to get away from the guards.
Needless to say, that's one Dark Brotherhood member down. It also brought to mind that it was a good idea to stage the murder, had Veezra's greed not gotten the better of him, he may have never been caught and reported to them that I didn't follow through.
I'll have to keep my eyes open for more of Astrid's tails, I won't be able to have another member go "suddenly missing" without drawing suspicion.

The next stage in this convoluted plan is to kill Gaius Maro. This is something I don't have much of a problem doing.
Gaius received his position in the Imperial Legion by his father Commander Maro through nepotism. Given a cushy job to simply go around the holds and inspect security.
Commander Maro weakens the Imperial Army with such things where a properly trained soldier would do better, his son is given a higher paying station by blood alone. He'll have to learn that pretending to play soldier is not as cracked up as it should be. Should he flee, I won't pursue but if his arrogance get's the better of him then I won't hesitate to drop him.
The Dark Brotherhood's plans on this however, are very questionable. When he is killed, they want me to plant a letter on his corpse to incriminate him in a plot to assassinate the Emperor. That just creates a whole slew of problems.
First, it will put everyone on high alert that someone will be going after the Emperor. Second, it'll be very suspicious when a letter is found detailing a plot on a conveniently dead body that just so happened to be found. Needless to say, I wasn't about to point out the holes in this plan, let them see the water fall through first hand.
I found Gaius talking to his father in the early evening, preparing for departure. My assumption is that he's going to be hitting the first tavern along the road, that's the only rational explanation for him departing in the early evening. A night of boozing before he has to start working. I'll just have to head him off down the road.
I stopped him on the road, told him to leave everything and turn back. It was a short walk back anyways.
But his arrogance didn't allow it, it didn't stop him from seeing someone who not only out matches but out arms them was more than willing to kill him. But he demanded I step aside and let him through, that I was no match for him. It didn't take long.
At first I toyed with him, constantly batting at his blade as he put up a meager block. I occasionally dipped aside and drove my blade into his arm or his thigh, giving every idea that he was overmatched, yet he didn't run, overconfident that he'd beat me. So I gave up. I stepped along his blind sword swing, using it to cover my step behind him and run him through.
I planted the note on him. They wanted me to kill him in a populated city, but that'd have incriminated me, and only caused public panic. Theres also the fact the "bonus" reward was to see some cheap fortune teller. It makes you wonder why the Dark Brotherhood was in such bad shape.
It was time to return to their sanctuary and see what insane idea they had next.

Something out of the ordinary this time happened though, Gabriella was there to greet me instead of Astrid.
Apparently Cicero went crazy, tried killing Astrid, and ran off. I've been tasked to kill Cicero because the rest are too cowardly to go after them, except for the budget werewolf. It makes things so much easier, two birds with one stone.
I went into Cicero's private room. Yes, Cicero got a private room. And found his journals. They're all insane ravings, and I find it odd he wasted so many journals just for daily entries where one would have been enough.
In anycase, apparently theres a sanctuary in Dawnstar, so that's the best place to find the two.
When I stepped outside, that strange black pond brought out a stranger horse. I guess I was being given a decent form of transportation to find the two. I'll have to see how much stamina the stallion has later.
I made it across Skyrim in record time, in the matter of a few hours. Not only is this strange horse fast, but I had the Thundering Hooves spell memorized which made the trip that much faster.
I caught up to Arnbjorn who was injured, which was quite a surprise. He bragged about being a werewolf yet... There he was. He hadn't turned, he was just laying there. I never saw Cicero with a silver weapon, nor did he ever leave the Sanctuary to retrieve one. Then it all fell together.
Arnbjorn was never a werewolf. He just made it up to impress everyone around him. He was no different from all the other crazies in that hole, and when push came to shove, he had to "back up" his werewolf claim. He knew none of the others would join him in the hunt, why risk being mauled by an enraged werewolf? He was just another facet of the teenage drama that was that group.
And now he's no more.
I proceeded inside the Sanctuary. This wasn't just some hole in the ground, this was the real deal. It was a veritable fortress, traps, guardian spirits, everything that the Dark Brotherhood stories lead to be. Which begged the question: Why did they set up the pit of a Sanctuary and not reclaim this one?
Possibly because they were all posers in the first place.
After crawling through a cave, a killing a frost troll, and finally the inner sanctum of the Sanctuary. And there he was, pretending to be critically wounded.
He was a poor actor as he begged me to just lie and say he was dead to Astrid. But my job is to wipe the Dark Brotherhood from the face of Skyrim, and he was just another part of the problem.
I cast a hold spell, he gave me plenty of time to do it, then cut him down. Quick and efficient.
It was time to return to the hole in the ground. Saying Arnbjorn was killed by Cicero is very feasible. Now to find ways to take out the others.

Astrid took the death of her husband a... Little too well. She glossed over it and onto the next task. I knew she was crazy, but by the Eight she's a whole other level.
My next task is to apparently assume the identity of the famous chef "The Gourmet" and poison the Emperor. After all I had done, it just seems so.. Anticlimactic? I know I'm not actually going to poison the Emperor, but I won't pass up a meeting with him. My father was a high ranked officer, I wonder if he had met him?
I guess I'll have to find out.
Festus was heading the investigation to find out "The Gourmet's" identity. Festus pointed me in the direction of Anton Virane, a supposed associate of the elusive chef.
Anton proved to be wary at first of my intentions when I interrogated him, but I told him exactly what I was planning, my work to take down the Dark Brotherhood. He relaxed a bit but he wasn't going to let me have the information without a bit of work.
He was planning on trying a very "special" kind of sauce that involved marinating the "sauce" within a man's oven. Needless to say, I was happy to help.
Funny enough, The Gourmet out to be a Sabre Khajiit. I've never known them to be the type to be into fine cooking, the one I camped with ate their meat raw.
Before I left Markarth, I met a visiting chef from High Rock. They had some interesting ideas, apparently having made healing potions that actually tasted good and not horribly bitter. Even began to use magic to cook their foods. I'll have to pass on the information to Shar, I know his love for food.
I made a similar deal to Balagog. I told him The Dark Brotherhood wanted him dead, and I needed his write of passage to get the heat off of him. He readily agreed and I was on my way.
When I returned to Festus, he seemed impressed even though I didn't kill anyone. The Sanctuary is down three sets of eyes, so I can get away with lying about killing two innocent chefs. That's one thing about this group claiming to be professional assassins: They're too lax with causing collateral damage. They never considered that a bit of cash will keep mouths shut.
What exactly is the budget from Astrid's "Credit" going to? She's made no move to cash in on funding this job. The amulet's "sale" was supposed to go into equipment, greasing palms, among other things. But Astrid has just been hiding away in the pit, they all've been hiding away in the pit.
Astrid soon gave the go-ahead to pose as The Gourmet, personally giving me the "honor" of assassinating the Emperor. Truth be told, I know that they're all not actual assassins. My time with them has told me better.
They're all just those awkward teenagers that wore dark clothes and stumbled upon a book on the Dark Brotherhood. They then copied everything about them but never actually "followed through". They then concocted backstories for themselves, made up contracts they've done, each of them lying to eachother knowing that the other is lying and falling for it. They then picked up the little girl roleplaying as a vampire which is just bizarre.
The only two people who were outside of it were Festus and Nazir. They must have come along and joined them thinking they were the real deal. It's the only explanation for the huge list of contracts that have never been done. Performing the Dark Sacrament is highly taboo, meaning such a high amount of contracts wouldn't have piled up.
I have to hand it to Cicero, this was a Family without a Listener. No Listener, no Family. Wrong. I should have told him I completely agreed before I ran him through.
I'm just going to show up and try my best to cook a decent meal for the Emperor. I was going to share my story to him about what I've been through, but it would just be too embarrassing and disrespectful for him to even be bothered. To think he was going to be worried about being assassinated. By these clowns!
Off to the Blue Palace I go.

Before I went in, I stopped by Radiant Raiment to pick up a suitable disguise of the stereotypical chef. With my own funds. But in anycase, it was time to stop into the palace.
Getting in was easy enough. Commander Maro took it upon himself to check the writ. I couldn't tell but I think he saw a bit of recognition when he saw me. I'm not too sure, but I do remember that smug look on his muzzle from when I was a kid, before we left the Empire for Skyrim.
I met with Gianna, the palace's chef and together we made an stew that sounded delicious. I almost snug in a taste, but we were short on time. I didn't poison the stew as requested. Again, I wasn't there to actually kill the Emperor, just to say I did and warn him about what might be going on, though I don't see the need to warn him anymore.
Needless to say, my admiration got more than a little of the better of me as I watched him taste the stew. Though he seemed... Off. A bit more arrogant than what my father had told me. However, mid-meal the Emperor's guards stormed in with drawn blades and had demanded my head. I made my escape to realize it was all... A big trap.
That wasn't the Emperor, thankfully he was never in any real danger. Instead this was all a setup orchestrated by Commander Maro. Like I thought, it was a stupid idea to plant a letter on his son's body announcing of an assassination plot. But he recognized me, this was beyond the assassination. No, he knew me well.
He had assumed that this was all a ploy to not kill the Emperor, but to kill him. He told me how he had forged order documents to have my father stationed in Skyrim so that he could take the vacancy of Commander under the Emperor. He assumed I was going to kill him in revenge. Me being there, the announced assassination, it all played into his hand on how he will be seen as a hero in the people's eyes. If I were to survive, I'd need to make my escape. If I don't, then at least I took his spoiled son to the grave with me.
But this man is where all of my life's problems stemmed from, I'll have to get my revenge one way or another. At least he doesn't know I'm the Ebon Wolf.
I dodged, dipped, and tumbled my way out of Solitude, closing every gate and door behind me to slow down pursuit, but I did it and didn't kill anyone on my way out. This turned into a bigger mess than I had anticipated but I was free. I just needed to get to my stash and tend to the arrow wound in my shoulder. I needed to get my gear back on before I would take out the den of pretenders.
Pretenders or not, they were more than willing to put commit high treason, and not lift a finger to do it themselves. After they're dealt with though, I'll have to deal with Mero once and for all.

So I returned to the pit and there were already Penitus Oculatus agents there. I guess they put two and two together and realized I was the Ebon Wolf who was seen frequently around the group of losers. Which was bound to happen, there are not many tail-less Imperials in Skyrim, and it was all part of the grand scheme of things anyways.
So I had to fight through them, and with all of the oil barrels around I should have thought of that. In anycase, everyone in and out of the pit had to be dealt with, everyone had to die and I used various tools of my trade to get it done.
However, the place went up in flames around me as Nazir fought a battle against one of the agents. I tried making a swing at him but the smoke was too thick to make heads or tails, and I ended up missing him every time. Not that it matters though, he'll die in here, though I might have my own problem. Thinking fast, I dove into the iron behemoth that held the Night Mother's corpse.
I was stuck in there for a while, and I'm not going to sugar coat the fact I vomited more than a few times while I was in there.
It must have been a day, but I was dug out by... Nazir and Babbette. Damn. I was hoping they'd have died in the chaos. I'll just have to bide my time, I could kill them both but Nazir might make a run for it. He escaped a burning hell of a cave, I wouldn't put it past him to escape from a spell-blade whose out of it. But that'll wait, for now, they want me to talk to Wacky Astrid.
And... Wow. I knew she was crazy, but this was a whole other level of crazy.
Turns out she sold me out to Commander Maro. All of these preparations were to make me the "fall guy". Astrid had been enjoying her life as a fake assassin, but then the pressure started to get to her.
"What if we actually did kill the emperor?" was one of her ravings. But then she had a run in with Maro after the letter was found on his son's body. Astrid pleaded her innocence and said I coerced her into the assassination plot, and that it was my idea to kill Maro's son "Just for fun."
The two of them concocted a convoluted plan to lure me in, she had me drugged and knocked out once, she had my identity and described it to Maro. Both of their combined paranoia towards me led them to plotting my downfall.
But I overcame it all, and she knew I'd come back for revenge. So she staged this farce of a "Black Sacrament." Saying how I was the leader now, told me to take the Blade of Woe (An interesting, though junk of a dagger) and go, and kill the emperor for real this time.
However, she's never seen what dried blood looks like. She had covered herself in red paste and was trying to pass it off as cuts. She also wasn't counting on the fact that I had done my homework. The fact she told me to just "go" was a tip-off. So I took the rusty blade and stabbed her in the heart.
The look of surprise and shock was just priceless.
I was then off to get my vengeance on Commander Maro on the Emperor's own ship.
(Decided to include some of my gameplay footage this time. It's not as "intense" as it usually, an example my spell swapping being shit, is because I've been going on about 4 hours of sleep and these enemies were pushovers.)

I attended the rescheduled wedding to get some answers. I heard that the Emperor was still in Skyrim and so Maro would be there as well. He no doubt came by ship, so it was a good idea to get some answers on which he might be on.
That being, the Katariah.
It's a recently designed ship that just went on it's maiden voyage. With this news I contacted Shar and was told to get a copy of the ship's blueprints if possible. A vessel like that with some improvements may be a game changer.
And there it was. Black sails, and such a huge ship. Even from the distance I can see how heavily guarded it was. Once I get on board, I won't be relying on stealth. I'll use all my skill to take everyone down. I want Maro to know I'm there, I want to draw him out. Or even better, corner him and leave no chance for his escape.
I'll make some final preperations. Once night falls, I'll make my way on deck.

Getting onto the ship was no issue thanks to a water-walking spell and an anchor port. I'll just catch my barrings and see what havoc I can cause.
Rising up from the hold into such a spacious common area, I didn't realize the ship was huge enough to accommodate such a thing. It's certainly a far cry from the usual rat infested ships and schooners you usually see.
I was upset that I had to take out some of the crew along with the captain, but they drew their blades rather than hideout as they should've. But we'll see how things go. I think the remainder of the crew got the picture and locked themselves up.
I navigated my way on deck. It was just a labyrinth due to the design complexity of it all. An on-board smithy, library, several crew rooms. But when the last of his men were dead, he finally showed himself.
He had set his sights on killing me, and he knew I wasn't going to go for any of his tricks. We both wanted eachother dead and no words were needed. He drew his blade and we went at it.
When I had him beat and on the ground, he asked me to spare him. I stayed my blade and paced to him. But sure enough, when he got back to his feet, he made another swing at me. I finished it then and there. My thirst for vengeance sated. Not for any of those pretenders in the pit, but for myself.
It was time I paid a visit to the Emperor. Not to kill him, but to answer for what I've done and make my case. I did kill his men after all, and I am the proud son of The Empire, a respected officer's son. It's my duty.
I closed up my wounds with a simple healing spell and limped my way to the Emperor's quarters. The adrenaline dying down, and the fatigue from it all began catching up to me.

The Emperor was... Every bit of the man I was brought up to believe. He genuinely cared about his people and was understanding. He had warned Commander Maro to not shake things up, and even called him a fool. In the end, Titus Mede II told me my actions towards Maro were justified.
Afterwards, we talked. About the Empire, the state of affairs in Skyrim, my plan to remove the Dark Brotherhood and how it ended up being one huge sham, about Shar getting his hands on the ship's blueprints, among other things.
There was no luck on the blue prints, but Titus did mention a sister ship that was made, and promptly stolen by a band of pirates. It's somewhere here in Skyrim, so I will have to pass that information along.
As for now though, it's time to wrap things up with Babette and Nazir. But first was taking care of the person ordering the hit on the Emperor. He wasn't counting on being ran through, but it was oddly satisfying.
I made my way to the actual Sanctuary. I had a hunch that the two survivors would make their way there. It proved right when I found the two. They fixed up the place a bit, but they didn't even drag out Cicero's corpse. So it seems, even Nazir was a fake all along.
The two of them dead, I took stock of it all. My mission had been complete, the last remnants of the Dark Brotherhood, like the Thieves Guild, have been wiped out. And it was one strange adventure all the way.
A good hideout like this shouldn't go to waste though. I'll see if I can fix it up as well. But I need to make my report to Shar.
It's been a fun adventure, I'll see you all in the future.
End of Lazarus' storyline.

Hello again friends. It's been a while hasn't it?
Yes it's Shar, and I know some of you have wondered what exactly I've been up to.
Well I didn't want to bore you, but I've had my hands quite full, so I'll fill you in on the more important details.
The reconstruction of this Dwemmer ruin has been fantastic. So many of the ancient machines were still functioning and were able to be reprogrammed. With all the debris gone, the place really shaped up.
A vault was found which I will be storing my considerable wealth in, I was able to copy the designs of the Dwemmer Forge and rebuild one here with some improvements. I've hired on mages to complete the indoor gardens and make sure they'll grow, and the war room has been improved. I won't even begin to tell you the expense it was to get a working Dwemmer Mechanism that can decipher lexicons.

As for Derk? Well. I had to let him go. The adventuring lifestyle wasn't cut out for him and he left back for his fishing job. No hard feelings of course.
The mine is running just fine without me. The trade routes are secure and I've got no trouble with thieves. However, Lazarus found a wagon not too long ago. A team went out to investigate it and found that it was one of ours. It was returning from a supply delivery to Windhelm, but was attacked. What makes this odd is that the moneybox was still in it's place and untouched. Furthermore, it wasn't lightning that caused all of the damage, something knocked it over and burned everything. My best guess it was a crazy mage that had an outburst, but why they didn't take well over ten thousand gold is beyond me.
I might have to go out in the wilderness and find this danger myself. But that's something I'll have to wait on. I'm expecting a report from Laz, not to mention, someone of particular interest has been making a name of their own.
It seems there is someone whose taken up the ancient bardic ways. No I'm not talking about the musicians who claim to be bards like the ones you see in taverns, but one who casts spells through the power of music.
Until next time friends.

Holy crap you guys will never believe the hell I went through making this new character. For magic I'm going to have him focus on restoration, conjuration, and illusion. Maybe alteration as well. As for martial I'm thinking 100% range focus using crossbows, maybe. But turns out I didn't install female bodies right so any morphs I did in racemenu wouldn't show unless they were nude. I spent about 5 hours getting current outfits to work with no luck, another 5 finding and testing out more mods, and I was losing my mind until I finally found the right mod that had bodyslide morphs. It's so weird because I never had this problem with the male bodies. But anyways, this is sort of following a person's request of a "twink" fox
Another morning of my new life in Skyrim.
My name is Ainslie. I come from a long line of nobles in my homeland of Highrock. Like most of my kin, I had tried my hand at doing "quests" for the lords of our province, but being a noble yourself, these tasks were more busywork. I was fine with that, I'm not really the type who can hold their own in combat.
You see, I was quite a surprise when I was born, my parents had even confused me for a girl when I was born. Yes, I'm a boy and proud of that. It took a solid four years before my parents were finally informed I was a boy after my nanny had grown tired with the joke that they thought they were playing on her.
But I didn't mind being raised as such, wearing fine fabrics and dresses, learning to apply makeup in my teens. I might be a boy, but I'm one who doesn't muddy myself and enjoy the finer things. It's also very humorous when a neighboring noble tries to court you and finds the a surprise.
I'm not as tall, nor as "endowed" as other males. I barely stand a head taller than most children, and I'd catch barbs of some of them saying they are bigger than me in "other" ways. My upbringing had brought my body to reflect my feminine nature.
Would I change myself? No. I love my body, and I'm proud of my nature. Some disgusting creatures who dye their fur unnatural colors and have an unnatural hate towards men told me I should become a woman, to chop off my manhood and make it into something grotesque, or have it transformed by theoretical magic that might cause even more harm. To those people I laughed in their faces. I am proud of who I am, I don't need these "modifications" to lie to myself.
Why am I in Skyrim? Well. I had a dream of becoming a traveling bard, to leave all the fineries away and sing songs and poems, play sonnets and ballads, to inspire and sooth others with the power of music. From the day I first heard my nanny sing me to sleep, I knew that music would resonate through me.
When I was doing my "questing" I had saved up every septim to buy my lute. I played it every day, teaching myself to play and singing songs that made no sense to anyone but me. I'd often play until my fingers bled and I'd be forced to wear gloves just to continue playing, for the song was my blood and the lyrics my soul.
Soon on my eighteenth summer, for my naming day I had requested to go to the renowned Bard College of Skyrim. Through teary goodbyes and a sore rump I was off to the college, my tuition paid and my housing already taken care of. My first day at the school is tomorrow, so I decided to take the time to relax and prepare for everything.
And what finer way to relax than to enjoy a nice soak and to play my favored instrument?

Headmaster Viarno seems like a nice enough man. I couldn't help eyeing his jewels with a mix of want and jealousy. But that's no matter.
As I'm taking the summer courses, not only is my education going to be rushed but painfully... lonely. I've exceeded in my instrument of choice and all I have to do is take a few classes on bardic lore.
The fellow students on the grounds don't seem to take to the craft as respectfully as I do. They don't sing, nor play their instruments, but they only seem to care about the festivals and their carnal desires. It is a part of the life though.
Speaking of, there is a festival coming up and the Headmaster wants a long lost verse of Poetic Edda, the spoken history of Skyrim. This verse refers to King Olaf, a harsh criticism of his reign of the land. The bard who had written it was executed and only one known remnant of the verse remains in a ruin known as Dead Man's Respite.
If I am to take part in the fistivals, and perhaps graduate the college early, I am to find the verse and return it to the college. I'm not sure how I can manage such a thing, as I'm no adventurer, I don't know any spells nor can I swing a blade. I'll have to enlist the services of a mercenary for this expedition.
I did manage to find one mercenary in Solitude, though he doesn't seem very formidable. He had agreed to escort me to Dead Man's Respite.
We had arrived there, it was an uneventful journey, but I don't think this mercenary had prepared himself properly for the work. Everything about him screams "green". But I'm not one to judge, I don't even know how to fight.

Things were going fine at the start. He seems to flail a lot in combat. He's no professional swordsman though he wields dual blades. The sparks that came off his swords whenever they hit a wall made me inwardly cringe, that couldn't have been good for the swords.
But he was doing his job. He didn't take anything from the corpses, and I did find a strange book off of one of these undead.
However, my mercenary got a little too overzealous and walked into a trap. A battering ram shot down and struck him in the chest, killing him instantly.
So I'm in these catacombs alone. Maybe I should put on his armor and take his weapons. Maybe I could try fighting as he had?
...
Oh by The Divines this is heavy! I don't think I have the armor on right, and these swords are just so heavy! I think I can only use one sword. I have to hold the torch, it's so dark in here. Am I going to die in here? I don't want to die in here!
I need to get that verse and get out!
I've been running, screaming, crying, and slashing blindly with both the torch and now one of the undead's swords. I lost BOTH of the steel blades as I bludgeoned the undead to- to- I don't know!
I'm tired, I'm hungry, my mascara is running, I just want to go home and now there are these swinging blades. Who would be so cruel to make these? I just keep singing to myself to keep my spirits up but I want to cry. I can't even get out because I slipped and fell down a pit full of water.

The torch burned out a while ago and I can't relight it, I just don't know how! But I did find a shield. It helped, I would hide behind it and whenever they swung. I felt like my arms would break under the weight of their strikes, and the sword felt even heavier now that I couldn't hold it with both hands as I swung.
But I found a ghost next to their body and he had the verse! I just wanted to cry in joy, I could get out of here- but I don't know how to get out! This is so confusing and stressful, I'm not cut out for this! Why did that mercenary have to get himself killed? I didn't even get his name!

I found a door that had a claw on it. Maybe I could use that strange sculpture on it? I don't know, I just began to shuffle the disks around and tried putting in the claw until it worked. Maybe pleading with the door to let me out helped? I'm just unsure.
I found the ghost again, he fought off waves of the undead single handedly. I'd jump in and whack them from behind. He even fought the undead King Olaf and practically humiliated him. Is a bard supposed to be a good fighter? I'll have to learn how to fight, how can I be a bard like this ghost if I can't defend myself?
I got out! I actually got out! And there was an Imperial patrol I am SAVED! Oh I can't wait to get back to Solitude, I need a bath, food- Maybe not food, the healing potions I ate made me feel sick- I've never tasted something so bitter- but I can go home!
I finally got home and hung up the armor. I must have been completely off on how to wear this armor, but I had a very valid excuse. It was dark, I don't know how to wear armor- and- I was scared- But! But. Displaying armor is a Highrock tradition. My parents would be very proud of my recent acquisition... Maybe not the dirty state it's in.
I may have made it back alright, but my prized lute didn't. As soon as I played a note, the first cord snapped, then the other cornds, and then the entire casing crumbled. The thing I cherished the most crumbled in my hands.
At least I got the verse.

I am not the type to wallow in devistation, so, I threw a fit and cried myself to sleep like a proper noble.
In the morning it would be a fresh start with a fine breakfast, notably absent of any music.
I trudged to the College next door and... The verse wasn't enough. I was about to give in to the fact that it was all for nothing, but Headmaster Viarno shook me for five minutes and pleading for me to stop crying until he said we could make up what's missing.
I helped where I could, and we made something presentable to the to the Jarl. This would surely convince the court that the Burning of King Olaf should continue. Or I'll buy a bunch of sweet rolls, crawl into bed, and stay home.
The reading went well, I desired to play while it was being read, but it still went just fine. The council approved for the burning to become a weekly event.
Naturally I consumed all the sweets that were for the guests. It helped me feel better.
With the burning I received my induction as an official bard. It turned out simpler than I thought it would be. But what's a bard without an instrument? I suppose I could sing but it's not the same.
I'll be heading back to the Blue Palace in the morning for a promised reward. But not before I pilfer more sweet rolls.

I decided to postpone whatever cheap reward I was promised by the Jarl. I'm not sure if it was from the sugar overdosage, but I decided to do something about my inability to fight.
So I sold the sword and shield from Dead Man's Respite and purchased a dagger. It was lighter, so I could swing it faster and stab it. I know how to cook, I know the dangers of a sharp knife. This'll be perfect!
So I went on a short walk, looking for something to fight. Down the path past Dragon's Reach and across the expertly carved bridge I found a worthy challenge: A rabbit. This is going to be easy!
I don't know what happened! I went for a stab at the rabbit and it all just went in a blur. I don't know how my clothes got off! I tried getting the vermin off me but he just wouldn't come off! I tried everything! And I can't believe my jewels are smaller than a rabbits!
This was probably one of the lowest points in my life. Defeated by a rabbit. But I don't know what I could have done.
Maybe I could ask for training from the Solitude guards?
They agreed to give me some basic training. Then they saw me in action and decided on very basic training. Then they had to come up with a new form of training for someone so completely lacking in skill with a blade.

It was time to go to the Blue Palace. I had no high expectations for my reward that I had been promised. I was a bit surprised to see the Headmaster leaving the court for a moment I didn't linger over it.
When I approached the throne, Jarl Elisef motioned to Falk who then handed me a sizable package.
Unwrapping it, to my shock and joy was a brand new lute. It had subtle markings on it, hinting at enchantments which made themselves known as it fit to suit my size perfectly. I was so overwhelmed by the gift, the ability to enjoy my passion as before, I couldn't help myself.
I took a deep breath and gently let the music flow through my fingers.
The song evolved slowly, starting as a softly flowing stream. Warm, soft, tones hardly intruding on the listeners at all. I let it slowly build, ever so slowly, until a few heads had turned my way. Then I let the rhythm become stronger and started playing slightly louder, letting the song slip out from the background noise to gently catch the court's attention..
Still slow, warm, weaving tones. Nothing to break the people's conversations. Just enough to make a foot-tap here, to make the court mage return her dish and turn her chair my way.
A couple of minutes later, when I felt the court was ready to pay attention without intruding too harshly, I let the music change mood. Bubbling into a happy celebration of life. Feeling completely energized from the flowing cadence that came from the lute's strings, I allowed my happiness to flow into the music, keeping the notes light and happy, almost delicate. Never settling on a rhythm before moving on to another.
Falk was tapping his fingers along on his seat while Jarl Elisef appeared lost in thought with a thoughtful smile on her face. Allowing the temp and intensity of the song to increase, the joyful melody leaped out in the room in lively sweeping tones. I was entirely lost in the music at this point, simply enjoying the chance to lose myself in my passion since my harrowing trials within the ruins.
When I'm entirely absorbed in playing, I fail to note time's passing. But after a while, gradually allow the music to grow more somber, moving gradually from the softer and happier tones, to more sorrowful and angrier passages. I coaxed the anger into a fury and upwards into a frenzied and feverish pitch. After a while the pitch flowed up to where I couldn't hold it a moment longer. And I let it flow over into overwhelming sadness.
Long, sweeping tones. Almost crying out at the unfairness of it all. Over a long minute I gradually let the sadness subside. The music slowly died and my awareness of my surroundings returned as I looked up from my new lute to the room. Which was completely, unnaturally, quiet.
At this moment, I had not realized that all of the court's eyes were on me. The silence lingered and the room broke out in loud applause.
After a minute, the noise had died down as I thanked my impromptu audience. With the Jarl finally saying that the ending was too sad. I didn't know how to reply to this.
In the end, I said my goodbyes and hastily made my exit from the Blue Palace. My momentary joy from being able to practice my craft oncemore having gotten the better of me.
I went to bed that night, the new lute cradled in my arms. I began to think about the past week's events.
Sure, I was frightened for my life when I went far over my head going to Dead Man's Respite. But it wasn't all that bad. It's more of what happened to my lute that caused me so many problems. I wasn't "myself" as they say.
I think it's time for me to go out into the world and start my time as a proper bard, going from tavern to tavern in all towns and plying my craft.
I stopped at the Khajiit caravan. They had a remarkable selection of supplies, including my purchase the Windstrad Company Adventurer's Starting Pack. A fully loaded pack including a tent, bedroll, hatchet, torch, and a durable bear-fur backpack designed for heavy loads. All curated by a Master Shar. Interesting.
I then left Solitude and down the road, on my way to adventure.
Don't expect the same quality of writing from the above often, I was feeling the storyline was "off" and needed to spark some potential in it

I went off the main road to see if I could find a shortcut and ended up stumbling into a Stormcloak camp. I went up to ask for directions and they were confrontational about my armor.
Yes, it was Imperial armor, but why would an Imperial soldier walk up to a camp? So they decided to call me a spy and all of them went on the attack. I was of the idea that they were looking for anything to just kill.
So I ran away from them and took cover in the trees. I'd pop in and out to shoot at them. They even had a black smith charging in with a huge hammer. I didn't know what to think of all of this.
I salvaged what I could of their camp, unfortunately their horses scattered, but that's just fine. I'd just have to borrow their map and find my way back to the road.
I found my way back to the road and ended up at a rest stop, a plague reading it was established by the Windstrad Mining Company. That's twice that company has come up. But I was able to catch a ride to Whiterun.
I'll give it to those Stormcloaks, it's not a good idea to wander in armor resembling any army's. However, I don't agree with their persuasion methods.
I made it to Whiterun in the middle of a storm. I'll have to find the local inn and see if I can manage to snag a room before other travelers on the road fill them up, or risk a very wet camp in the outdoors.

Ah. Huh. Uhm. The vampire problem really seems to be ramping up. Someone should really do something about it. All of these bodies littering the streets as you walk into the city just makes for the warmest of welcomes.
I played for the tavern throughout the night. I made about thirty gold in tips on top of just enough for a room and a meal. Though I had arrived when the crowd had died down.
In the morning though, I decided to do some shopping. I asked around for where I can find some quality equipment and was pointed to Warmaiden's, just at the entrance of Whiterun.
The selection was quite... Something. Swords of fantastic quality, a line of "Warforged" equipment, and interesting enough: crossbows.
I am a good shot with a bow, but the strain on my arms wears me out in no time. A crossbow has always been my favorite with how easy it is to aim. The downside is, that resetting them makes it a problem since the sinew of the string has higher tension.
These crossbows come with an advanced loader, making it easier to set the bolts. There were also a line of modification kits but... I couldn't quite afford them. But the one I purchased was fine steel and supported a cherry wood stock.
I also purchased a set of fine black leather equipment with plenty of pouches, light weight, and protective. From what I was told, the design of the armor was taken from the now-defunct Thieves Guild.
I asked where all of this equipment came from and was told that it was manufactured by the WIndstrad Mining Company. That name keeps coming up.
I have to say, I'm starting to look like a proper traveling bard.

So, I thought it was just LOD problems so I tried DynDOLOD. BAD IDEA. Fucked up the game entirely despite following the installation to the T. I've never seen anything fuck up so bad that UI elements like level up were plastered on the screen, everythings tpose and in their low LOD state. So it took me a while to get everything back from reinstalling to a new directory and what-not. So then the pop-ins causing crashes kept happening. So I around I'd say 17 hours fixing this issue. I left Whiterun in relatively good spirits. My new equipment bouncing on my back, the protective leathers open enough for a pleasant breeze to find all the right places. Life was going good. I was on a path to nowhere in particular.
Then I ran into a couple of wolves on the road. I panicked when I took out my crossbow and snapped a shot off, completely missing them both. My panic rose more and more as I tried loading my new crossbow on the fly.
On a whim, I began to hum to myself, trying to keep myself calm. It wasn't long that not only I began to calm, but the wolves calmed down as well. I have to say they're quite well-mannered when they're not trying to kill you.
I had split ways with the two wolves soon afterwards. It made for a really good rest stop.
Not too long after though, I ran into a bandit outpost. They've held themselves up in a tower. They offered a bargain though, two hundred septims for my life, but I didn't have any left, I've spent it all!
So having to dodge arrows, tumble away from swings, and load my crossbow on the fly I fended them off. I'm surprisingly more calm when facing people than animals. The ground around me was riddled with arrows, but in the end I got the killing shot on the bandit leader. I'm not sure why they all had to come after me though. A poor traveler can't be worth so much bloodshed.

That night I decided to set up my new tent and enjoy my time under the stars. Not too either. Leather tent to keep the dampness down, a goose down bedroll that's comfortable and lightweight. I had just about a good of night sleep as I'd have in an inn.
Speaking of, I made my way to Iverstead that morning and offered to play some music for a meal. The tavern owner's daughter is a "bard" but seems to suffer from the same problem as all bards around Skyrim. They know only the same three or four songs, sing them without any passion, and never stray from a routine.
So I gave them a little something different. My fingers dancing along the strings, strumming melodies that came to my mind. Hours slipped away as I fell into a trance. It was only the fact I had been standing for so long did I finally take a break.
I gathered the septims I've earned, a free meal, and I set out from Iverstead. There didn't seem much to the place, and I am no peasant pilgrim to climb a mountain path for seemingly no gain. Not to mention there's a bear problem.
A very big bear problem.

My trip leaving from Iverstead towards the "scenic" route was going well. I was bypassing the murk of the swamps on my way to Windhelm.
However, I ran into a roving band of goblins. They were a tough fight, and I barely got out by the skin of my teeth. I was vastly under equipped and there was a practical army of them.
After resting for a bit and taking more of one of those foul healing potions, I continued on my trek. I have to say it was worth coming this way though. The scenic views were inspiring. I would have enjoyed them more though but some strange thing was squaking from above.
It didn't sound... Natural. So I drew my crossbow, took aim, and shot. And... I don't even know what this thing is. It does sort of match the description from the book of Saint Jiub. But Cliffracers are extinct, this isn't even their natural environment. It was probably best I killed it since these things were supposed to be terrors of the skies.
It wasn't too long in my walk did I make my way to Windhelm. Cold air is good for the lungs, so I can probably enjoy some singing while I'm here.

I did make some extra septims while I was out. I took what I could from the goblins and sold them. The main source of my now heavy coin purse (not that one) were their enchanted staffs.
So I went shopping around for some new equipment, but the blacksmith of Windhelm had... A very lacking selection. I was afraid I'd have to head back to Whiterun for something but I when I went to Sadri's Used Wares, I found some admittedly great gear.
The downside was, I was still a bit short on coins, but the equipment came from the Windstrad Mining Company. I was told to make my selection and if I cleared out a band of bandits that have been harassing some caravans, I'd be able to pay off the remainder of the equipment on that.
Windhelm has a lot of problems going on. From the goblins along the path, refugee escorts being attacked, and rieklings killing their farmers. Just on the way I had to kill two roving bands of the blue creeps.
The fight with the bandits was a bit more difficult. They were using an abandoned shack for cover, coming in and out of cover to fire their arrows. I only had a rock for cover, but I managed to take them, and their leader came out to try slashing at me. But I resolved that with a bolt through his neck.
I may be becoming more and more of an adventurer, but I sure wouldn't mind spending a few days just playing my lute. That's the agenda for when I return to Solitude.

I also got a new redesigned crossbow, though I still couldn't afford any of the modifications available for it.
On my way out of Windhelm, I was chased off the road by more spiders and ended up in the hot springs outside of Windhelm. Hot springs putting it generously. It's more of a mix with a swamp.
It's full of the strangest people, it's also almost completely lawless due to the giant's influence in the area. The Stormcloaks have handed the area to them in exchange for their own caravans being protected. Everyone else who passes through are always destroyed. Though most traders who go through these routes seem to be the desperate and destitute type.
But the people that do live in this area are the strangest. Necromancers, hermits, all violent to any outsider who stumbles upon their territory.
Needless to say, I had to fight my way out of this area and onto clearer paths. Heading north and then going west wasn't an option, the paths near Dawnstar are no doubt blocked by snow, not to mention the stories of roving skeletons at night that are nigh-unstoppable. I don't want to risk running into that. But if I keep going west, I'll be able to go down the path I came from and catch a caravan to Whiterun.

I returned to Solitude, having caught one of the caravans heading from Whiterun. The travel went through the night and I was able to get some sleep after my ordeals. However, it was fraught with nightmares of a discordance. I could hear something... Wrong in the harmony of my sleep. My dreams were usually of music but this was something terribly wrong.
When I arrived to Solitude, I had talked to the Headmaster of the Bard's College. He had no idea what it could have been about, but he did tell me I was requested to play at the Blue Palace. I gladly agreed and went straight away.
Before I could really get into the rhythm of my music, the performance was interrupted by someone from Dragon Bridge, reporting on strange noises and lights coming from Wolf Skull Cave.
After my performance, I asked Falk Firebeard of what it could be about. He told me that the locals were being superstitious, but something about hearing the name of the cave reminded me of those discordant notes. I asked if I could take a look at it. Falk gave me a confused look since I was a bard, but then noted my equipment and gave me permission.
It seemed to be worse than what everyone had feared. It was a ritual to resurrect Potema, the Wolf Queen. A person of such evil being brought back to life rang discordant to me, and that's what was bothering me so.
I had slain many of the undead and the necromancers using silver crossbow bolts, but it all wasn't enough. I was being overwhelmed. Soon they were too close and I just had a dagger in hand trying to fight them off. Then, came understanding.
Magicka could be weaved in many ways from what I've heard, from components to hand gestures. It was at that moment I learned how to weave it, through the sound of song.
In my desperation, I sang, weaving my intentions in the music and creating a sonic wave around myself, pushing the swarm away. I didn't know what to make of it at first, but I took the opportunity. Grabbing up my crossbow, I ran and made distance, firing and reloading along the way until they were all down.
Finally, I made it up to the ritual site. It was another hard fight between the necromancers and the ritual leader. Again I used the power of song, strengthening myself against their combined magic and firing them down one by one.
When it was over, the ritual site remained. I needed to consecrate it, but I was no priest of the Eight. So I climbed to the impromptu stage and played once more.
The music flowed through me, combating the discordant magic that resonated from the chants of the ritual. Soon the magicka flowed around me, encircling the site and cleansing the area with life giving music.
It was done. I collapsed on the platform and fell in a deep sleep. It was some time until I finally woke, late in the evening, where I then made my way back to Solitude.
I reported all I had done to Falk and he was shocked that Potema was almost resurrected. He was more intrigued by the method I had casted spells. I wasn't quite sure of it myself, but I was ready for a long rest. Of relaxing in my home and playing my instrument, perhaps explore this strange form of magic deeper?
For now, this is the closing of this chapter of my story.
I'm sort of halting this plotline here because I don't quite know where to take this. Not to mention, the article I read with a list of mods that promised bardic spells sort of lied to me and I was having to make due without. However, expect more of this character in the future.

Fantastic, Shar's save files are ctd'ing when loaded. So I'm going to have to remake him. I'll have to spam console commands to get him back to where he was.

So update. A patch that's required for Perkus Maximus to function, taking all of the armors. weapons, items, etc. and scales/levels/modifies them is the cause of the problem. So I was able to recover Shar's appearance but that's about it. It's a good thing I've got everything documented and didn't decorate homes or anything.

Sorry for the delay on things. Still trying to fix this armor issue and busy with life shit.
I don't think I have an anim for rabbits being bottoms but I'll look around, maybe there was an update on the mod that allows for animals being bottoms. But I'll see what I can do.

Man, I thought you'd never come back and it turns out you've been here for months. Funny that you went for a crossbow character since I made one myself last year. He's a jackal monster/daedra hunter who is searching for clues about his brother. They were partners, but his bro was thrown into a daedric portal after a job gone bad.
Decided to go full Van Hellsing and used a mod that added a bayonet to the end of the crossbow and various ammo types, including a dwarven cannonball. Then I added a bunch of Sun spells for him and the crossbow itself inflicted Sun damage and gained power when more undead were killed. Could never decide between a spear or a dagger as his melee, but the crossbow was so strong I rarely needed it. I couldn't think of more to do with him so I decided to end his run for now while I wait for the kinks of the new yiffyage mod to get buffed out. By the end he was wearing edgelord armor and his crossbow was unstoppable against undead. Maybe next time I'll make a purely rogue character with poisons. Might end up wearing that Boethiah cultist armor.
I know you like Perkus a lot, but have you ever tried Ordinator? The skills in that are so ridiculously fun. It even has some skills for bards in the Speechcraft tree, though I never went for it myself. Have some old and shitty screenshots. Was never quite happy with the hair, but it's hard to find a hairstyle in the game that doesn't clip through the ears. The hair mod the page recommended doesn't help either.
Sad that you haven't discovered a way for shota, but I'm very interested in whatever loli method you used too. Mind explaining?

And I guess some other random ones. Was messing around a lot.
Here's what I meant for the hairstyles. I got rid of the mod since it added incredibly dumb anime ones like pic related to a few characters and I just can't take them seriously after that. Don't you just hate it when you pop a random boner in front of the daedric prince of madness?
If you're out of ideas, then have you ever thought of making a more villainous character? A vampire is very fun to play as with mods.

What race mod are you using?
The only canine like race mod i used never had much expression to the faces and not that much customizability to get anything like you got in the first pic.

That was YiffyAge 4, which I believe was taken down and now only 5 is available. Both add the wolf, jackal, fox, and various feline races. Personally I liked 4 more so far since 5 makes their faces look more cartoonish. All the pictures I've been posting are from 4.
The expression has less to do with the furry mod and more because I have the RaceMenu plugin as well. Gives a large amount of options, some of which are compatible with YA4. Only vampire faces seemed incompatible. However, YA5 is very new and now everything has to be built from the ground up again. Most of the customization has to be re-added, which is currently being worked on. The RaceMenu, among other things, adds a slider tab dedicated to greatly changing your character's expression.
For the poses, I use Poser Hotkeys. There are a variety of combat, silly, and suggestive ones to cycle through. They're pretty fun to mess with. Goes great with the RaceMenu since otherwise your characters might end up looking pretty stiff. Pic 3 and 4 are examples of this back when I was messing with them, though I can't do anything about 3 since she was a vampire anyway.

Does the YiffyAge version of the mod have more facial sliders?
In downloading just the standalone race mods, there's no expression sliders to be found under racemenu.
