Legend of Spyro: Eternal Night for the GBA is surprisingly good.

There's also Spyro: Season of Ice and its sequel Season of Flame.

Might not fit but I really liked the remake so I'll mention it anyway Final Fantasy Legends 3 for GBC that was rereleased on the DS as SaGa 3 Jikū no Hasha: Shadow or Light. Lets you play as an evolving monster character. There's an english fan translation floating around somewhere for it.

Breath of Fire 1 and 2 for the GBA is also a thing. But last I remember you'll have to patch 1 and 2 you're better off getting the fan translation on the SNES. But I think there's one for the GBA version as well if you're really pressed into only GBA stuff. There's Also Breath of Fire 3 [My Favorite one] on PSP as well though I remember there being some issues similar to 1/2's ports where it's inferior due to weird translation/censorship and it running like shit in some places. Might have to look up some potential patches and fan translations on this one.

For Turn Based Strategy fans there's. Tactics Ogre: Let us cling together which has a neato PSP port. There's a side game for the GBA too called Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis. Only reason I include these because you can recruit lots of monster units. By extension Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for GBA there's a sequel for the DS if you really want to go farther.

Ratchet and Clank Size Matters, as well as Daxter for PSP. Hexyz Force, and Chrono Trigger on PSP. Even if they only include one cute monster companion in the party. Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower on PSP

It's mostly Ports but whatever works. Works. I'll have to work harder to remember/look up more.

Wonder Boy 3 is alright, as well as that remake of it by lizardcube. Sorta a platformer/rpgish game that was originally released on the Master system.

Also, there's some Diablo/Fate clone that's alright.

they're called Bangaa. they're not just in FFTA but in FF12 aswell, its a race that seems to exist within the lore of Ivalice, a recurring world in the final fantasy series profacts: Ivalice is also the world where Vagrant Story takes place, but we dont see any bangaa there as the entirety of the story happens in a very enclosed location, like the resident evil mansion

I'd also suggest Pokemon Mystery Dungeon in addition to these.

Sonic Advance 1 is alright. YMMV on the rest but I found them really underwhelming.

>>114678

And Moogles and Nu Mou in both FFTA games.

That's no Diablo clone.

It's an isometric hack and slash, but the similarities end there.

It's short as shit, but like you said it's alright.

>>114703

>they're not just in FFTA but in FF12 as well

I'm going to die still pissed that FF12's playable cast ended up 98% human despite how many different races the Ivalice setting has.

>>114554

Only one I can think of is getting the Threads of Fate port on PSP.

One of the two characters you play as has a primary game mechanic of transforming into the monsters he kills.

well, originally balthier was the protagonist, but then they did market research and decided to replace him with a pretty teenage boy and his girlfriend because thats the people who buy final fantasy.

thats two party slots that were used by bland generic characters that could have been occupied by interesting characters from other races, like a bangaa or a Nu Mou which also exist in FF12. >>114706

at least none of the human characters were niggers in 12. for that im glad.^1

Elminage Original on the PSP has some beast races to choose from. It's a dungeon crawler similar to Wizardry with several different races to form a party with. If you don't like any of the portraits, you can import your own as well.

Speaking of Wizardry, most of the Wizardry games and their spiritual successors/clones (where Elminage also belongs) feature beast races. Class of Heroes 1/2 is one PSP example.

Not on either of those platforms, but Metamorphic Force is a beat-em-up featuring muscular men that transform into animals.

There's really not a lot of well known GBA and PSP games that have decent furfag appeal. Most you'll get is a sexy anthro side character in some JRPG game or enemies.

Crash, Donkey Kong, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro all feature on GBA at some point.

So if you're willing to pull from more than just those two systems. There's Breath of Fire 3 and 4 (Which is also on PC for some reason?). Personally prefer 3 because it has some of the best fap bait monster party members around. But 4 has some good ones too as well with much better presentation. Both are more than worth your time.

Ori and the Blind Forest (PC) is godly and the MC is a qt wood nymph thing. It's got a wonderous art style that (At first) wasn't too demanding on my old PC. Then the rerelease came out ran slightly worse overall with any of the new sections running like complete shit. Shame because the original ran amazingly well. As many would say play definitve I'd say play the original first [I think it gives you access to both once you buy the new version]. I don't think the newer game flows well.

Rivals of Aether (PC Going on Switch later) I hear is pretty dope with a wide variety of anthro characters. Also one of if not THE BEST Smash clone.

Sonic Advance 1-3 (GBA): Advance 3 is the only one worth playing more than once. Otherwise decent trilogy of games.

Dungeon Lords (PC) only play this if you like action RPG's and extreme jank. I had fun but in all the worst ways. Lets you play as a fluffy or a scalie non-human.

Bastard Bonds (PC) Fun and has an appealing art style. Turn Based RPG not the easiest game to get into. But is certainly worth while. Bonus has sexy bara monsters that you can romance and befriend. Rather dark but you can make friends with just about anyone even demons. Plays very much like a classic Western RPG in how it handles its world and quests.
