What? I liked ASB. The plot was really not that great but that 90s furry aesthetic really appeals to me

Well if you like the 90's aesthetic (and not just the "messing yourself" aesthetic as in asb) there is yarf!, Sabrina online, skunkworks, Erma Felna: EDF, furlough etc. Obviously the webcomics will be online and I think you can find steve gallicis' work online, but other stuff you can get relatively cheaply from places like rabbit valley comics.

This was directed at OP ...who read ASB for the "aesthetic." That said, Sabrina online is actually an interesting read in that it's like opening up a time capsule. Story wise, It quickly goes downhill after her roommate gets pregnant, but up until that point, I don't think it's that bad a read really. Yes there is zigzag, but despite Eric's propensity for creating pornography, none of it actually makes it into the comic. Also to hell with naysayers, you and 99% of people can fuck right off if you got nothing to contribute.

> Yes there is zigzag, but despite Eric's propensity for creating pornography, none of it actually makes it into the comic.
It's more that he spent 2 decades fixated on the setting, though. All the stories involved the porn star staff in some way, even the 'family' ones. And he just couldn't stop Rule34'ing everyone.
I remember when EWS was considered a Next Big Thing for Furry... but he Aspie'd it all away...

Yep. ISB was a comic written by a guy called Karis, about college kids who wear diapers. I think there were only a few issues. If you're into the diaper thing, it's probably okay fetish material. If you're not, the only thing is it has going for it is Marci McAdam's early artwork.
>>102024
No, it's just also about college kids, and it parodied the title. That's it. And yeah, it's the origin of "BAWWWW." Here's the actual page. No scat in this comic, just wee. ASB was/is good.

From the moment Fig went god mode I got completely lost. I don't even care what the author tries to say, a more mainstream approach would get him the reader number he deserves.

I still really don't know how exactly her style works. Hell, I thought "Akimbo" was named because it was her first facture with Fig and XX working together to do... something to their opponent (freeing them from their own labyrinths, maybe?). Which is kind of right, but akimbo is also a term applied to maze making/solving, which certainly fits in with the labyrinth theme of the story very well.
As for a going more mainstream, yeah, it would be good for wider appeal, but It makes me wonder what it'd be like if he did. Probably worse off in my opinion.

I don't think it would be worse. Secretary is relatively easy to understand... or to quote "It's so easy!".
But the current one is a mess at times.
I had to ask how the currency system works, I'd like to know more about the guy who was her husband (?) first and now her pimp or something and how they met and what his motivation was, considering he already was powerful and influentual. Some characters weren't fleshed out.
And to be honest, I prefered strong, self-aware, blood-thirsty Fig over artist-XXX. Artist-XXX, like a real artist, got potentially rich by luck. Fig felt more like actually working on world domination. I waited for the whole situation to backfire and she starts to basically whipe out everyone and takes control.
We got that moment where she went Sonic Rainboom on their asses, but it kinda contradicts her art style and all that society talk gets on my nerves. That society hasn't even been fully explained. I don't know who's in control and why. Who's at the top. I don't even know if that's important. It's trying to say something about art, but art in the traditional sense is dead. Art is capitalism.

I wish the author would make some kind of tournament fanservice comic, where the main characters and villains fight each other.
Imagine the spider, Nutsedge, SV and Fig wrecking each other.
More specifically, I'd love to see Fig utterly destroy SV.
SV would be kinda like that Baki villain noone can stop.
That last Faction is insane. I love it.
