Will grip builders have carryover for deadlifts, hangs, etc? Or are they a waste of money?

 No.137309

I would say dead-hangs work better and they are free.

WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE TO CREATE A NEW THREAD JUST USE THE GRIP THREAD JESUS F CHRIST

I'd say they work, and you can do them while sitting at your computer programming a suicide simulation to kill yourself in for creating a new thread you homoerotic butt pirate.

I have the CoC #1.5 and the last cm is the only thing I can't close. It was 2 - 2.5 cm a month and a half ago, and it's been 1 cm for a month now. I've probably trained the whole range of my hand with this thing, but I don't have a heavier gripper so I can't find out if I can close a #2 or #2.5 to 1 - 1.5 cm as well. I saw a post about some strong fucker being given the grippers #1 - #3 to try out and he could close all of them to about 1 cm, but none all the way.

These are more like fun things to have and give people to try, but for training is more dynamic than deadlifts or hanging and thus viable. I've heard of people using these and other grip specific stuff and seeing carryover to Oly lifts and Shot put. Grippers tend to lose some strength over the YEARS however. A 100 lb gripper might become an 80 lb gripper in a couple years of high use.

There are certificates for those how close the heavier ones, and there are grip strength competitions. Most people aren't too interested in that stuff I guess, but grip is one of man's favorite strengths, which has me wondering if there are many men in existence…
