Two weeks ago I joined a gym to try and be less of a fat piece of shit, but I have noticed that the program that was assigned to me is very diferent from any starter program I have researched before. It is like this:

Lat pull down 3x12

Rear deltoid machine row 3x12

Barbell curl 3x12

Reverse grip curl 3x12

Seated Leg press 3x12

Leg curl 3x12

leg extensions 3x12

B

Bench press machine 3x12

Peck deck 3x12

Shoulder press machine 3x12

Upright row 3x12

Machine tricep dip 3x12

Triceps pulley 3x12

Ab crunch machine 3x20

Plank 3x20sec

I train every day and have started IF today. Should I change my series or push through and see what happens? If I should change what should I change to?

what the instructor did is really based for you,

I'm guessing you did evaluation with a physical therapist as per usual in every gym in brazil

so that routine not only is for beginners, but is taking into consideration your posture, imbalances and weaknesses

you're a fucking land whale, what are you wanting to do squats and deadlifts for?

first thing you got take care off is your weight, and if you get injured doing stupid shit, guess what?

you won't be able to workout at all…

I've never even knew what SS was (always assumed it was the straight shota routine)

until recently when I've looked it up out of curiosity

but its shite mate, its a meme, specially bad for beginners

I'd never went through that because here in brazil, like I've mentioned above, you are required to take physio therapist exams regularly, and have routines setup by the trainers provided by gym itself

and at the very least they make sure you don't do really stupid shit, and of course you can talk and arrange something yourself, my last routine was basically made by myself
