I'm not proud to admit it, but I've fallen off the wagon and gained some weight back due to being negligent. Do you guys have any recommendations for running shoes that won't break the bank, and also won't break down within five months of hard use?

 No.122406

I have a pair that were given to me for free when I was born and automatically grow to fit me and repair themselves tougher whenever I wear them down. Works pretty nice.

I use a shitty pair of "athletic" shoes from Kmart. Cost me 20$ and have been using them since 2012. They're beat all to hell but still hold up.

Don't waste money on fancy shit. They're all made in the same Vietnamese sweet shops.

Running as a starting form of fitness is asking for busted knees.

source: literally every pleb who tried running

And to answer your question, cheap good running shoes don't exist. Polite sage.

 No.122415

oops i didn't sage.

i got some decent nikes for cheap during holidays. that's when they go on sale. amazon is a good place to compare prices.

I really like Brooks, they've got nice comfy shoes under $100 that will last you a good while, but if you're looking for cheaper than that, Asics is pretty standard and good. What matters most is how it fits to your foot, because I personally have unusually wide feet for my shoe size and so it just depends what the store has that feels right and isn't too expensive.

 No.122447

The more expensive the worse they are(less padding, less durability), of course there is also a treshold on the cheap side where everyhting cheaper than a certain amount is just trash people shouldnt even wear

 No.122518

Asics are pretty good and decently priced, got some for around $50 3 years ago and have been great but I should get new ones soon

>>122414

You have a point way too much running can be bad for joints. Biking is a very good alternative.

 No.122527

I wear soccer shoes but that might be because I'm a BR

 No.122537

Go to a running shoe store and ask for last season's left overs. They'll be cheaper if they're bigger.

 No.122908

i got nike free rn's

night and day compared to my old reebok basketball shoes

it's actually more comfortable to run in them than walk

 No.122910

I have a pair of Pumas that survived three years of running in swamps, deserts, and dense woodland. They might be heavier, but I like the support better and they hold together pretty well.

 No.122917

I use my steel toe boots.
