Ebola-chan exists beyond us, brother. There are still bats and other bush animals to infect. Besides, it's been revealed that even being "cured" doesn't stop one from infecting another. Her loving touch marks its recipient, and their bodies continue to harbor the virus.
Her hayday may be over, we may never see this big of an outbreak on her part. Or perhaps she will re-emerge, once the hype has died away and all the promises of aid and works on a cure have dried up. After all, it's been theorized that companies could have stopped her before this even began… it just wasn't profitable.
She comes in waves, in cycles. An outbreak every few years, followed by dormancy. Nearly each time, infecting more people.
So no, she's not going to die, my brother. But she might go off and nap for a few years. At more than 26,000 infected and 10,000 killed, I think she's well earned it.
Good job, Ebola-chan.
