Pretty sure it's the usual bullshit. They've already tried with vesicular stomatitis and human parainfluenza vectors,as well as with some other virus-like preparations.Without counting,of course,Zmapp.I'm 95% sure that this herb will only works on lab animals,or,if it has some effects on humans, the results will be disappointing, just like with the other "vaccines".But yeah, thought it could've been interesting to share this with you guys, just to know what you think about this, and for informative purposes, too.Good luck,Ebola-Chan <3

The true enemy of Ebola-Chan!

**honestly, this is a break through for these pill poppers. They're finally looking to Nature for guidance. It truly is the end of days.
It's been fun posting with you my brothers and sisters, see you on the field of battle, and may Ebola-Chan protect us all.**

Thing is,it's not about loyalty. They have found something that may work:that's a matter of fact. Now,I want to underline that "maybe",because,as the article says, the herb has been tested on lab animals only. And I'm sure, and I'm hoping, that it won't work on humans.I'm still on Ebola-Chan's part, and I will always be.Never gonna betray my Goddess.Hope is the last to die.Stay strong, fellows ebolites.

Actually, it might work… for a while. Viruses move a lot faster than we do, and that's assuming there isn't a human agent driving even more rapid change.

If it does work, we should be encouraging them to deploy the treatment on the fruit bat population in the name of wiping out the reservoir. That will be certain to drive the virus into a resistant state.

So you want to expose the virus to a possible cure to make it resistant to it? Similar to how the body reacts to a virus, in a vaccine?

Yes, I too have my doubt about this herb working on humans. Buuut… if buy some small chance it dose work, loyalty to Ebola-Chan is what will help us through what would most assuredly be our darkest hour.

But I see what you're saying. (pic related)

We're already a very fragile board anon, a happening brings us up entire leaps and bounds, a cure or treatment would completely destroy us.

Then I am to assume that our will is paper thin? Or is it your's that is so?

If there comes a day were Ebola is no more, then I would still love Ebola-Chan with all my heart. Even if the virus was eradicated.

Steel your heart, clear your mind and meditate on this. You'll see that Fear can hide in plane site.

>Then I am to assume that our will is paper thin?
No, we are subject to a ever changing virus. We and our board are on a roller coaster rid of up's and down's. The virus is not the only controlling factor, the people are also subject to change. A-long time ago back in September this place was full of people and normal friends. Then after the mid term elections in November board activity fell sharply, then in December the New York happening took place and board activity spike again. Sense then, we have stagnated from lack of news coverage and general lack of caring from normal friends. We where withered down to the bare bones, to our present state.

/cure/ can never win. That was my whole point. You may think you have, but all you do is buy time. If you find an effective treatment, you will still lose some people who get it too late or not at all, so the push will be made to eliminate the reservoir of infection in the first place, and cure the bats themselves. That might be quite effective, but not 100%, and only the strains of the virus that this herb didn't touch would survive and eventually re-infect the entire bat population. This might take decades, but it would happen. Then you'd see an explosion of a new strain that the herbs can't touch, making its way to the primate and human populations. Since you /cure/-tans would think you won, the development money would have been pulled and moved somewhere else already, and there would again be a delayed response as the new strain gains a foothold and proves difficult to stop.

The only way the /cure/-tans win is if the virus becomes less deadly in the process, and doesn't need to be eliminated. But in that case, the virus also wins.

Found something interesting,guys:
Tetrandrine banned everywhere except China
http://www.theverge.com/2015/2/26/8114765/ebola-drug-block-infection-banned

>When the drug was given to mice who had been given a lethal dose of Ebola the day before, half of the mice survived.

>Tetrandrine isn't an ideal drug candidate; it's banned for human use in most countries. Plus, treating a human with a dose equivalent to the one given to the mice could be toxic.
Looks like they're still far from finding a cure,after all.Stay strong,Ebola-Chan <3
>>25038
I totally agree with you.Even if we're unlucky, and they manage to create some kind of vaccine,we've got to remember that Ebola seems to mutate pretty fast.It wouldn't be a surprise if,after some time (or decades, like you said),a new, stronger strain'd come out.
>>25040
