I disagree, man, and I'll try my best to explain why.
Yes, we're all going to end up dead. That doesn't mean suicide is "pointless" or that we have to live a full life because we owe it to ourselves, or anyone else for that matter. There are some points in some lives that are acceptable end points. A person who's already experienced terrible events and can only imagine more misery in the foreseeable future may decide to kill themselves, and that's ok. Because the only thing we owe ourselves is to make the best of our situations, whatever they may be. That doesn't mean you have to always hold out hope that things can be better, that's a gamble. It means, do what's best for you in the moment; drink, smoke, fuck, eat, game, kill, whatever. If suicide sounds like your best option, take it. Fuck what others might think or feel, you don't owe them anything.
Yes, everything is going to shit but it's hard to find a generation of humanity that couldn't say the same thing.
