I think they take one look at our /pol/, which is a shit board, and then leave, completely missing the fact that they could just make a new board and go there, and if they all committed to that it'd be top five within a day.

Doesn't stop them from making their own board.
>buh muh fbi
Bullshit, if they're that paranoid about the feds they wouldn't be using 4um in the first place especially when Hiro the jew took over. And considering the fact the fbi has to resort to samefagging and glowposting just to get a viable warrant to bring 8ch to court, it only shows 8ch as a whole isnt a government honeypot.
All they need is a good moderation team and some 24 hour staff to ensure the board is stable.

>make a new board
/pol/ is pretty much a household name, regardless of the chan. Any other name is not likely to be known.
>our /pol/
Every board must eventually go to shit. I think that's a fact of life. A board's period of awesomeness lies between a sufficient amount of users/old-fags using it and generating organic content up until the time the feds/normies find out about it and take over. It's like an atomic reaction. Too little fissile material and it's dead. Too much and it explodes. Just enough and you can power the world. 8-pol used to be great. A long long time ago, so did 4-pol. Now I'm stuck looking for the next one.

Tell that to the numerous but active euro boards (To a small extent the Q board). People will naturally flock towards decent discussion, all you need is a decent push, constant upkeep to make the new area viable and a decent population that can support itself. Our /pol/ can be fixed there's no questioning that, the problem lays with the willing man power wanting to take on such a mind numbing task and a BO that knows how to balance quality. Everyone that's been with 8ch for these last 5 years has spent a fair amount of time on /pol/ or at least in a casual sense but no one actually wants to take ownership(with decent intentions) especially when you have confirmed groups dedicating their entire lives destroying/ distracting any decent discussion. But maintaining smaller boards while using the main /pol/ board as a bug shield, isnt a terrible idea. Yes the board may be split but considering it has around 2k-something active people (more if you count the people just floating around looking for a decent place to shitpost), if you can get around at least 400 to become active Anons then you already have a successful and healthy board. Of course as long as you dont fuck it up like the retards over at /polk/ did.

I tried going to the UK boards and they were utter cancer. Nothing but tripfags, shit posting and BBC wankfests. There's no discussion of anything useful just a constant stream of diarrhea with whatever news outlet or twitter feed they screencapped today.
>>1067310
/b2/ has a serious issue with pedo spam and a BO who encourages it. Any board you make is going to be raided endlessly by trannies, faggots and /intl/ people trying to disrupt it as much as possible.
You also have the problem with /r9k/ types. Who do nothing but post anime shite every where. Whine about how a post is formatted and scream shill/goon at any one who disagrees. The ingredients to build a new good board isn't here any more, too many people have left and the people left here are on a race to the bottom of the crab barrel. Everyone trying to improve themselves is called a normalfag, any one who suggests not wallowing in castle piss bottle is hounded until they shut up and give up try and so on and so forth.
I don't mean to be defeatist here but realistically 8ch is too easily disrupted to be of use in building something new. Without full site control you can't police things properly (not that you can police TOR and VPNS, both of which are vital to /pol/ in the current year) and you can't prevent disruptive elements. The only way a new /pol/ is coming is if it builds some where else without being disrupted until it's too big to stop. But then people will still be paranoid about a honey pot. I know of a few places like that but they tend to be too paranoid for their own good. They ban any one who isn't part of their circle jerk and of their exact ideology. If you say you think a monarchy is better than a dictator you can be banned in places like that, even though the difference is so minor it doesn't matter in any realistic position we're in.
I hate to say it and I sure as hell don't trust the place but if a new /pol/ is to rise I suspect it will be a Discord not an imageboard. It has all the tools it needs to be kept private until it's too big to stop and it has enough users to make it happen. Discord would immediately shit can it but welcome to 2019's internet. Still my money would be on Discord or something Discord like being the next /pol/ avenue. It's where most people are these days.
>>1067342
Kampfy and his mods could not be trusted to be left in control. They were bleeding the site dry and the admins put up with way more shit than they should have. The decline of 8ch and maybe even it's death were all because of Kampfy.
Is Murdoch Murdoch still connected to TRS? I thought he was one of the fags who didn't jump ship when Jew wife came out of the closet.

Sounds like typical British politics.
>/b2/
Doesnt matter what's the internal politics of its moderation, it just shows that board migrations are and have always been possible since the gg days. Raids by /intl/ types are unavoidable but if you have a dedicated moderation staff then its completely manageable. I'd hate to use the Q board as an example but their board gets hammered on a daily basis yet the board still functions normally** because their staff actually cares.
>The decline of 8ch and maybe even it's death were all because of Kampfy.
Far from it for 8ch as a whole, if anything 8ch is finishing its weathering period like 4um was around 2006 or 2007.
>TOR and VPNS, both of which are vital to /pol/ in the current year
Just from personal experience 90% of those fucks are goons and glowniggers. So you get no sympathy from me.
>The only way a new /pol/ is coming is if it builds some where else
You mean a dedicated site that can be easily be singled out and targeted, that's a terrible fucking idea. Its better to be attached to something with multiple valuable attributes to avoid complete annihilation.
> Still my money would be on Discord or something Discord like being the next /pol/ avenue.
>Discord
<not IRC
You know, the more you talk, the more you sound like a brain dead summerfag. Discord! What the hell are you even thinking, a website ran by FED approved cub fucking furries and their constant scans for badthink. Seriously are you actually that fucking stupid?
> The ingredients to build a new good board isn't here any more
They're still there, most people are just lazy sacks of shit.
>Who do nothing but post anime shite every where.
Anon dont tell me you're the type that spergs every time someone uses a certain reaction image.
>Whine about how a post is formatted and scream shill/goon at any one who disagrees
Well if you type like a retarded child or like a typical redditor, of course people will take the time to make fun of you. You either learn the ways how things are in a certain place or damn yourself as a nigger forever.
>The only way a new /pol/ is coming is if it builds some where else without being disrupted until it's too big to stop.
Been there, done that, tried it more than 5 times since 2013. Either people never bothered going to polchan when it was up or Anons like you are just summerfags pretending to be oldfags again.
>Is Murdoch Murdoch still connected to TRS? I thought he was one of the fags who didn't jump ship when Jew wife came out of the closet.
He is, the TRS spergs are just one of many groups that held an autistic vendetta against old /pol/ and swore an oath to shitpost it to death. Probably one of the few reasons they dont bother coming here, because they know the moment they set an official board multiple anons are going to raid the ever living hell out of it as a form of revenge.

Your post sounds like the /r9k/ types I was talking about.
>IRC not Discord
IRC isn't going to have the mass appeal Discord does. I like IRC better than Discord but I'm realistic in what people are using. Discord and VR chat are the closest things we have to a modern day image board.
TRS and /pol/ were the same group. There wasn't any rivalry there until it was artificially made, same as screaming reddit posting and shill/goon at everyone. Most people on /pol/ would listen to various youtube and TRS podcasts.
>>1067368
I don't care if it's legal, I don't want a board that encourages discussions of fucking children. If you encourage that kind of community you're going to get more people like that. /hebe/ was removed for a reason. /b2/ is just a /hebe/ board wearing a mask saying it's /b/ at this point.
>>1067375
Kampfy didn't have that power and I never said he did. I said he would fuck up the primary board people came here for. If your main attraction is killed it ripples down to all your sideshows too. Back on 4chan it was /b/ that brought people in who filtered to other boards.

Well, fast forward a bit and here we are; /pol/ is in arguably the worst shape its ever been in and instead of trying to make a new board the average /pol/ack has decided its best to stay on that shit heap of a board.
I think that Kampfy getting removed and the trashfire left behind in the aftermath showed, above all else, the reason why /pol/ is shit is because its posters are shit
