Hi, /v/. Personally as a comics and cartoons enthusiast, I see no problem with this book. Great art, great writing, this is what the medium is all about. The inking could use some work, but it's alright in my book.

I think the art is okay in my opinion, but the story is a fucking mess. It jumps from one thing to another, it uses walls of text to explain garbage, it uses messy technological language to sound clever, the characters are walking clichés.

That's actually a good idea that I thought about not so long ago in a way to "update" cyberpunk. But damn the art was so goddamn lazy and ugly.

Clive Benson is probably the best thing in this comic, he feels like an actual cyberpunk character, pragmatic, morally grey and obviously he has a antagonist vibe in contrast with our good protagonist.

This alone just reeks of hipster shit from 2010. Another thing that does not do book any favors is basing two characters on Quinn herself.

Comic is slightly worse than mediocre, but not offensively bad so far. Pace of the comic is completely fucked. There is too much too much text per panel. What's worse, a lot of it is either redundant or awkward exposition. It does not even explain or hint at what these monsters are. Art has typical issues of lazy copy-pasting and artist not being able to draw backgrounds, architecture, or action.

I don't like her as a person, but the quality of modern comics fell so downhill that this looks passable in comparison. It has a theme, but it's not blatant propaganda that makes you roll your eyes.

I don't like the book and it's themes, but I'm giving it brownie points since the author keeps it subtle.

I'd be impressed that it got published at all, but the standards for comic book art and sequential storytelling are lower now than they were when comics first hit news stands a century ago. There's no flow to any of the action. Instead of a clear series of events being carried between panels they just bounce around wildly and then rely on lots of obnoxiously bright and clashing colors combined with lots of photoshop filter-y nonsense. And then there's the overall look of this whole fucking mess. These moronic character designs that are supposed to be badass and "empowered" ladies who look more like the worst clown prostitutes ever, overlaid with lots of symbols and imagery ripped from the pages of "I just googled 'satanic symbols' and used that to makes this shit sandwich seem fancier"

How is she able to project herself into the installation if the system that runs it is down? I mean, the first thing she does is try to contact people within the installation and she is shown to be unable to, so how is she still able to project herself inside? Then she uses her boss' codes to access, then security shows up, and they get rid of her by cutting the power to… What? What was still on that allowed her access? Every page is filled with visual noise yet somehow nothing manages to stand out. Everything blurs together into this nearly incomprehensible stew of inconsistent stale cyber punk visual cliches.
