It looks pretty fun tbh. Story feels basic but animation is great. I don't mind having a basic story. Seems like it could be a fun adventure series though the voice for the boy is kind of annoying.

Studio Mir is pretty much the generic ricenigger animation studio that hipster faggots hire whenever they want that sweet animu cred for their bland, uninspired tripe. They put a lot of effort into making things seem dynamic and energetic, but holy fuck is this animation stiff and stuttery. There's like no fucking tween frames and some of these run cycles have a total of 3 fucking frames to them.

It looks inoffensive, overall, but it's not really impressive. If anything, it's just painfully generic. It only drives home that Studio Mir is a one trick pony and they aren't even especially great at that one trick.

Why do modern cartoons do the schtick where the characters lie exhausted next to each other and laugh because oh boy are they having fun? I didn't mind it sometimes in Adventure Time because at least I was having fun too. Really though it's just self indulgent. And then there's the needless articulation and detail of characters and worlds. Like they're trying to replace your dreary real life with a vivid alternate reality. And that's all you animators ever did, was selling us a lie. Hate cartoons
