There's a clear issue with the current set up, and they don't want to talk about their shortcomings or offer up solutions.
At this point, the vol just bans whenever/whatever he feels like to the detriment of the board and just censors any dissent, then bootlickers like yourself say it's totally fine and we shouldn't get upset over entire threads, remembering this board is still slow even in the top 25, and doesn't always get over 50 replies to a thread, just because the Vol is too fucking lazy and self-absorbed that all criticism must be instantly purged instead of only the offending posts removed.
The moderation team is clearly uninterested in taking care of the board, so they should either get a vol (Not instantly transition a BO because that will lead to all manner of fuck ups applying) and wean off their control to them, or just admit they are simply roosting on the legacy board name for stupid reasons and don't actually care so everyone knows and can properly decide if they want to wallow in shit here or go to a new board still on this site.

It's not like /co/ is anywhere near the hive of activity it was before mods scared away casual users on top of the April hack, CM/Jim handover etc. The whole site was dealt a blow and these guys just fucked it up further. Realistically, this is the 2nd most popular imageboard, so staying here is the best chance of stabilising or even inceasing (lolno) the userbase.
Going to 420chan would effectively cut off a large amount of users (I'd bet a large portion of this board wouldn't want to use two sites out of general sloth) and the perceived lack of proximity to other hobby groups like /tg/ would create another echo chamber. IDs are still perscribed, but only the moderators can see them. Bans/deletions by thread ID or board IP are still possible.
If someone is pissing you off in every single post they make, i.e. using the same language, add it to your personal filter by clicking options in the top right corner. Filtering by ID is a great way to start groupthink where you only read things you agree with.
Also, board quality has gone down significantly since the beginning, so I'm going to assume you're new and the low point you saw was right after the hack.
