it's a way to use a part of the bird rather than throwing it out. I'm not an environmentalist, but I dislike being wasteful, and frying wings till crisp and smothering them in sauce is a good way to make them into a tasty snack. wings aren't meals, but I don't see anything bad about them, just a poor meat to bone ratio.

save the bones, use them for chicken stock

It became popular because they were so disgusting that they'd be thrown out, then some smuck deep-fried them and idiots bought them because they were cheap and disgusting, exactly what Americans like the most.

Thus the chicken-wing was born, the worthless shitty part of the chicken covered in even more unhealthy garbage to make it edible.

Agreed… I never liked chicken wings even as a kid, and I always thought there was something wrong with me since everybody around me did. I never liked having to use my hands to eat and getting them all messy, as well as desperately trying to chew off as much meat as I could off the bone getting my cheeks greasy in the process.

Let's just use the shittier parts of the chicken to make stock, shall we?
