Has nothing to do with the genetics of the fish and everything to do with the environment the fish are raised in. I won't eat the fish based on the fact that they are farm raised, not because they are "genetically modified". Every living thing is genetically modified, human ingenuity has simply found a way to increase the speed at which this happens. Being against genetically modified food is like being against filtered water because rain is more natural.

The only thing dangerous about them is that they basically require pesticides made by Monsanto, by themselves they are just as harmless as a "normal" strain of the same plant.

In other words, if you grew the stuff yourself, it would be just fine. You'd just have to watch it like a hawk or keep it in a hothouse if you aren't using pesticides.

The way they genetically engineered the plants is quite selfish, they could easily engineer them to not require pesticides, but that wouldn't be as lucrative.

People have been eating genetically modified chickens, cows and pigs for thousands of years. Who cares?
