Askenazi Jews are Jews from Europe but the word "Ashkenazi" comes from the Hebrew word for Germany. In Genesis 10:3 a man by the name of Ashkenaz is mentioned; is this man, Ashkenaz, the father of the Germanic peoples or am I totally wrong and it is just a coincidence.

I find it weird that the term "Nazi" went on to be used against "National Socialists" as "Nazi" sounds nothing like "National Socialist"

That's an interesting connection. If there was intent for that, we'd probably find it in the writings of 20th century Germans.

Fine, but at that point you can call any German political party that happens to contain the word "national" in it "Nazi"

Nazi means Nazarene

in German, "Z" is exclusively pronounced as "ts"

Board looks to be just another edgy anti-christian place, as to be expected. All I'm seeing in the thread are strawmen about Christianity being inherently libtertine.

That site seems promising, I'll bet there are good cultural observations that don't require adopting the entire fascist worldview.

It unfortunately is, both left and right authoritarians despies/look down on us.

I was thinking the same.

The word "national" in German is pronounced as "nahtseeohnahl", and "Nazi" is pronounced as "nahtsee". Nazi is just a shorthand for national socialist, Germans do this sort of thing all the time. For instance, in Germany it's perfectly normal to say "uni" instead of "university" even in a formal conversation. You are way overthinking this.

>both left and right

/fascist/ is full of Strasserites and other crypto-leftists who openly sympathize with communism and the USSR. There are few actual Fascists there and they don't tend to be anti-Christian.
