Today i believe i had a spiritual experience with God. I was walking into town and felt spirits talking to me, and i said out loud "if you're real have someone talk to me" and i ran into two people who i used to know but haven't seen and haven't talk to in a while.

If you've had an experience with God recently I'd love to hear it?

That's an extremely fragile foundation for faith. God didn't send those people to prove himself to you, you're insulting God by even looking around at creation and doubting the existence of the creator.

I hope I'm not personally offending you by saying this.

Don't fall for the trick of charismaticism. It is an emotion-driven gospel, not theology driven.

I didn't doubt God's existence, God wasn't proving himself to me because i already believed in God. Oh, i did say "if you're real have someone talk to me" but that was because i though something was there that wasn't God, like another spiritual being, but i was wrong. Sorry that was pretty misleading.

>charismaticism

A quick definition search shows that spiritual gifts (charismata) is followed by Prots and Catholics. These experiences are not fundamental to my faith.

I had a spiritual experience with Mary and asked her to prove herself by predicting the outcome of a random number generator. She did and I was filled with fear and joy at the same time.

that's not what charismaticism

Is this a false flag? You're tacitly admitting Mary is a divine figure to be prayed to. This is not orthodox in the Roman church as far as I'm aware.

>YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.’”

Is it still testing God if it don't know it's God? the bible says test all spirits to see if they're of God.

>that's not what charismaticism

What is Charismaticism then?

>Is this a false flag?

I thought it looked like a false flag as well.

Ok so you weren't testing God, you were testing a being to see if it was God or not?

How did you know there was a being, and how does your reunion with old friends confirm it was God?

You did not test this alleged spirit according to the guide of 1 John 4. It didn't even manifest as a spirit that could be tested this way, because the rule is to judge what the spirit professes against scripture.

Charismaticism is an umbrella term for the practice in Christianity of relying on continuing spiritual gifts as a matter of faith. The largest group in it is called Pentecostalism. Charismaticism has infected every sect of Christianity.

>you were testing a being to see if it was God or not?

Yes

>How did you know there was a being,

Because i've been having spirits talking to me.

>and how does your reunion with old friends confirm it was God?

Isn't God the only one powerful enough to do something as nice as that? A demon wouldn't reunite me with friends, unless it wanted something, and it was done freely without trade.

>You did not test this alleged spirit according to the guide of 1 John 4. It didn't even manifest as a spirit that could be tested this way, because the rule is to judge what the spirit professes against scripture.

i'll do that next time, i'll ask it if it acknowledges if Jesus Christ has come in the flesh and is from God.

>be signed up on a bone marrow donor registry

>get a call saying I'm a potential match

>get cold feet, not sure I'm ready for that commitment but say I am because I want to help someone who needs it

>pray to God, asking what He wants me to do - should I go through with it or tell them that I've changed my mind?

>very next day, get another call from registry

>they don't need me anymore

I've never had a prayer answered so clearly before. Of course my faith isn't based entirely on that one event, but it was a definite sign that He actually is listening, and that was really reassuring.
