Well nobody really knows what "Hell" is; the fire and brimstone shit is really a Protestant and Counter Reformation creation and to honest is unique to Roman Catholics and their offspring. The rest of Christianity including the older Churches have a more traditional approach inline with how Hell was always understood in that it's more a place without God and forever shunned from his presence or, if you like, think of an eternal purgatory of oblivion but you are conscience (and unable to go mad or sleep) though some also believe their may possibly be an undermined short fiery transition point (hinted by the Gospels) between the end of the world and moving on to that nameless void. There is also a belief generally that eternity isn't forever and at some unknowable point, even if it's eternity+1 (or forever-1) God will relent as he seems to generally have a revealed reference for grace.
