In arguing against mormonism:

DO NOT dive into conspiratorial business

DO NOT get hostile

Let mormonism argue against itself. It is incomprehensible.

You should know what the Bible teaches with references, just ask how Mormonism can fit in with that.

<The Bible teaches one God. How can Mormonism fit in with this?

Mormonism has internal contradictions in it's own story and with changes in doctrine.

<Mormons used to teach that God said black men would become white if they were good enough mormons. Now, you say that isn't true. Do you think God was wrong?

Mormon missonairies came to my door today. I live in a heavy mormon region.

Their pitch is a basic message that God (heavenly father) wants you to have hapiness and a good afterlife. I was surprised to hear that the way they want you to know is by telling people to pray and ask God to confirm or deny mormonism to them. What an emotionally driven, untrustworthy method. Obviously, anyone who wants to believe is going to report that God told them mormonism is true.

I asked them about the ces letter, they weren't familiar. I told them that it seemed to have evidence proving the untrustworthiness of mormon scriptures and doctrine. They want to come back, so I told them I want them to look up the CES letter and talk about it when they return.

We talked about their doctrine of Smith restoring the church. I asked about the status of everyone who died in the interim period, she told me that mormons think we're in some quasi-purgatory state until the final judgment when it's determined where you'll go.

I challenged them on John 1 given that they deny monotheism and trinitarianism. It says the word was God and was with God. We agreed word refers to Jesus, but they didn't have an answer on how the word could be God since they view heavenly father and Jesus as totally distinct.

It was a pleasant conversation. Please pray for these two young women, we all know mormonism does not save.

Any thoughts? What could I say if they return that would have the best effect for their possible conversion?

Also, data is clear that they are also much better at living the principles of the Bible, including observing the Sabbath Day, living a morally superior lifestyle to other Christian sects.

How then can any Christian make the assertion that "Mormons are not Christian"? It feels like an immature child throwing a temper tantrum.
