Yes, but again, you are isolating the scenario from other relevant rates of change. If you start a large Christian family with 12+ kids, who continue in your tradition, you created a massively compounding increase in your tribe's population growth. Compare that to removing 20 random members of a competing tribe, figuring in the probability that many of those people are having 0 or only a few children, or have already reproduced. It's really a no brainer. You are far better off starting a large family.
So why didn't he do it? Well, it's much harder to do build something than to tear something down. Especially if such building requires access to a wife and her vagina, but you look like a fresh clone of Alan Dershowitz.
