I've had a falling and nearly converted to Pure Land Buddhism last year. I even prayed to Buddha and stuff like that, but didn't go through with the conversion.

Can I be forgiven? Have I committed the sin against the Holy Spirit? Have I committed apostasy?

When I was practicing Christianity before my falling I had a constant struggle, and a constant cycle of falling into old habits and forgetting about prayer and then starting over just like Jesus said some people will believe for a while and then stop.

Can I believe again? Can I make it this time? I want God and I want to be forgiven and I want to be saved.

I'm Eastern Orthodox btw.

Well if you were saved before I don't know if you can be saved again, nor do I know that you can even lose your salvation in the first place.

Personally I don't think you technically can, because I think God only saves those who he plans on taking to heaven, he already knows their future but he chose that person anyways.

If you can be brought to an unsavable state and a position where God doesn't forgive you I don't think you'd even think about it.

The only person who can't be forgiven is probably the person who has a heart so hard they don't even ask for forgivness.

And maybe you do have a hard heart I don't know. But clearly not hard enough, because you are still seeking God and that's what is important. The improtant thing is to finish the race now keep going. I think God has a special love toward people who will keep running the race even when they are worried about their own salvation. You show God that you don't even care. Save me or don't but I want to continue the race and I want to live Christ like and do what is right.

And of course you can believe in Jesus again. Jesus said you can speak against him all you want and be forgiven if you repent.

People get very scared, I've been scared of course of the idea of unforgivable sin which is against the Holy Spirit. I don't know any examples of someone some how knowing they've done this.

One of the saddest verses in the Bible Judges 16:20 The Lord leaves Samson and it says Samson didn't even know it. That's a scary idea. Many rainbow flag churches are like that, no idea that the Lord has probably left them. Clearly they're not concerned though.

I think speaking against the Holy Spirit is a genunine serious eternal rejection that needs to happen. In a way you probably should never worry about it because if the Lord leaves you, you wouldn't be concnered about it. You wouldn't even think about it. I don't think so.

Hello friends I have a question that is not relevant but is similar.

After nearly a year of being on the wagon I had too much to drink and scrolled though porn thumbnails after my wife went to bed. My conscience wouldn’t let me do more.

I’ve asked forgiveness from the Lord but I have not confessed to my wife. In part because her reaction will be disproportionate to what actually happened, she believes that for me to have any attraction to other women is equivalent to cheating and therefore anything involving porn is worth days of crying and not talking to me.

I am deeply conflicted, on the one hand I feel the need to confess, on the other I am afraid I will be doing more damage to her than is warranted for the sake of soothing my own guilt. And further still I worry the later concern is just a mask for avoiding the consequences.

Can I be forgiven without confessing to her directly?

It doesn't matter what your wife thinks.

women don't have souls.

God made women to serve men. He only breathed life(souls) into man(males).

What you should do, is not waste your time with women.

Since you already own a woman, you should start reprogramming her to turn her into a proper housewife and servant to you.

A woman should never speak and should always follow every order of her owner(husband).

You shouldn't waste your time feeling guilty. What matters is that you recognize that what you did is a sin, and that you understand why it's a sin. Then you have to keep picking yourself up every time you fall. Eventually you'll completely overcome the sin and look back at how ridiculous and silly it is, and how stupid those that commit it look like.

Remember to help others overcome their sins.

It doesn't matter if you have only a few answers - share whatever you've learned.

Remember that learning isn't going from A to B, but going from A constantly towards B.

Every lesson is another step to step on to get to B.

It doesn't matter if a lesson isn't perfect, because it's only there to step on to move forward.

Never attack someone for being on one of the previous steps, but rather help point them towards the next lesson.

You might have to repent at a deeper level than you had ever imagine.

Just repeatedly saying prayers and confession I don't believe actually cuts it from my own dabbling in occult garbage.

It will take a lot of humbling doing tremendously laboring works in your sanctification to purge out all traces from your soul. Since dabbling in such stuff already heavily tarnishes your soul, or if you were in that mental place in the beginning to try out that kind of stuff, even in adolescence
