Why do you leave him up on that cross suffering? "It is finished." The cross is empty, as is the tomb.

Jesus's sacrifice is eternal, it is the climax of his incarnation and passion and all of human history flows towards it, forwards and backwards, and out again at the resurrection. These events are one event and they transcend our one dimensional time. Hence why Elijah and Enoch could be assumed into heaven before the advent of Christ in one dimensional time, and why Mary could be full of grace at the annunciation, they were redeemed already by the grace of the cross. Of course, to us limited creatures stuck in one time dimension these seem like temporal events, but to God who is eternal, from the very beginning he set up the cross to be the center of the timeline of the cosmos. Christ is always on the cross just as he is always raised just as he is always God, he does not change (Malachi 3:6). "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). Please, stop with your silly little Prottie Prot antics. This is why nobody with a brain takes your theology seriously. It's beyond idiotic.

>Christ is always on the cross

actual heresy. Christ died once for all.

If you actually believe this you can not celebrate resurrection sunday next week.

The incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection were all events that happened in time. At the crucifixion He said "It is finished", past tense. If he didn't suffer, sin would not be atoned for.

>he does not change (Malachi 3:6). "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever"

This is called divine immutability, and the papist idea of the perpetual sacrifice does not follow from it. The roman church read this doctrine into the text based on a prior idea of the eucharist.

At the same time it is fine (outside of worship) to remember Christ at all stages and in every scene, supposing you're ok with images at all

>Please, stop with your silly little Prottie Prot antics. This is why nobody with a brain takes your theology seriously. It's beyond idiotic.

Nobody with a toe in theology would say this. There is more momentum towards protestant theology than ever in a serious sense, and increasingly professing catholics don't know or disagree with the doctrines of their own church.

>actual heresy

Blasphemous Protesatanic lie. Not surprised though, all Prottie Prots like you ever do is lie. That's all your Satanic blasphemy of a cult has ever been doing since your antichrist first rebelled against Jesus Christ and his holy Church. I thank the Lord every day that he led me out of the masses of ProteSatanism and into Christ's true bride, the one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church. Amen.

>Christ died once for all.

Correct, and his death transcends all of time, it is the actual center of world history. It does not repeat, it does not happen more than a single time, the cross is the ultimate event of cosmos history together with the resurrection. This is why every time we partake of the Eucharist, we are at the same event. There are no "Masses", though we say that out of convenience and the limits of our language and perception of God. Paul speaks like that too, it's the limits of our language and understanding, Bible writers do this all the time, look at the countelss metaphors of God in the Bible. But St. Paul also says "We preach Christ crucified" (1 Corinthians 1:23). Seems like you Protty Prots don't take Paul seriously here, and deny the crucifixion of Christ. But this isn't surprising, given the fact that you don't really believe in the Bible, but are children of your father the Devil. Your denial of Christ crucified is akin to Docetism. Again, not surprising. Protestants seem to love reviving old heresies and blasphemies against God like Nestorianism, Iconoclasm, and what you are doing right now, docetism.

>If you actually believe this you can not celebrate resurrection sunday next week.

Wrong. We are the Church militant, still on Earth, so we can celebrate these events according to earthly time. Yet at the same time God has given us the gift of the Eucharist which allows us a glimpse into eternity itself. I like the Orthodox/Eastern Catholic view of this: That every Sunday is an Easter/Pascha, but next Sunday will be the Easter of Easters/Pascha of Paschas. Of course, you silly little Prottie Prots with your laughable, yet very dangerous and Satanic theology, don't have a concept like this since you have abandoned all true doctrine for Satanic lies.

>And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Don't be so polemical brother, I know we're on 8kun and all but try to tone the polemic down. Also, I wouldn't exactly characterize it the way you are but you are on the right track.

So you are thankful you do not walk alongside crucified bodies going to the market. One act of sacrifice rippled into you not having to see the real thing everyday. Say thank you, my Lord, my we never forget thy will be done.
