Correct, and his death transcends all of time, it is the actual center of world history. It does not repeat, it does not happen more than a single time, the cross is the ultimate event of cosmos history together with the resurrection. This is why every time we partake of the Eucharist, we are at the same event. There are no "Masses", though we say that out of convenience and the limits of our language and perception of God. Paul speaks like that too, it's the limits of our language and understanding, Bible writers do this all the time, look at the countelss metaphors of God in the Bible. But St. Paul also says "We preach Christ crucified" (1 Corinthians 1:23). Seems like you Protty Prots don't take Paul seriously here, and deny the crucifixion of Christ. Yet at the same time God has given us the gift of the Eucharist which allows us a glimpse into eternity itself. I like the Orthodox/Eastern Catholic view of this: That every Sunday is an Easter/Pascha, but next Sunday will be the Easter of Easters/Pascha of Paschas.
