If you are going to call the man a "butcher" in the sense of a murderer, you need to explain why. I looked up John Calvin and he seems to be a simple heretic and not a murderer.

Cite please.

or was he a meat market butcher before he left the church?

Thanks for the clues. Wikipedia says Servetus preached against the Trinity and was condemned by both Catholics and Calvinist.

maybe he did but it is not Christian to burn people fren, which is exactly why and for numerous other reasons, Catholicism is a false and demonic spoof of christianity. We Anabaptists don't even believe in murder or maiming in self-defense (for Jesus rebuked Peter for cutting off the ear of one of his captors and straightway healed the man).

Don't appreciate the gesture of pride. It took Christendom centuries for the idea of "Just War" to develop and the amount of Christian battles fought as aggressors as opposed being reactionary or defensive are minimal.

Pacifism in light of the whole of scripture is what's unbiblical.

If your canon of scripture is just Genesis, the 10 commandments, Psalms and the New Testament then that's a major problem.

Is it better to burn one heretic or to let him lead a thousand souls to hell?

Was God wicked for the Flood? For the destruction of Sodom? For smiting the wicked sons of Judah for their sins? Was Moses wrong for putting half of the tribes of Israel to death for their worship of the Golden Calf right at the foot of Mount Sinai? Did not God in that last instance work through Moses and Aaron?

For example, we wouldn't be in this sodom of a world if it was not for the wickedness of Martin Luther. He's already in hell and he's dragged a billion souls down there with him.

John Calvin was a kik3rinho who put more gas to the fire.

Protestant Calvinists - and also Anabaptists - are practically the Iconoclastic "Christians" from Constantinople, who were constantly rioting and looting Eastern Rite Churches - before Turks invaded Constantinople. In fact, THEY allied with Turks.

What a coincidence that Protestant Reform appears once the Holy Roman Empire became bigger enough to swipe out the Turks from Bizancio. The Protestant factor divided the Holy Roman Empire in half, and they practically ensured that Christians never reconquer Constantinople and Jerusalem.

Great Job (([Protestants])).

John Calvin was really "good" by killing churches, monasteries, priests, monks, nuns, men, women and children who don't belive on his "teachings".

He was an iconoclastic piece of s— who was a complete SERIAL KILLER

Even in the Holy Inquisition in Spain, they condemned the Witch Hunt, because it was abusive. And ironically, the today's propaganda against the Holy Inquisition, they describe them as how Calvinists, Anabaptists and other Protestants behave.

If you scan my 5 previous posts, I've asked a question about morals and cited the Wikipedia article about Calvin. I didn't see anything about killing lots of folks in the Wikipedia article.

Why did you make this argument about me? Did cognitive dissonance trigger you to change the subject and accuse me of "speaking vociferously" about Calvin?

I just wanted to know what Calvin really did and I would like a citation to a source where I can check it.

Ok, Let's see in Wikipedia.

Oh! Look at that! Muslims and Protestants fought together against the Holy Roman Empire, Against the Papacy and against Spain. Wow… How heroic are the Protestants - specially the Calvinists who heroically destroyed tens of churches, monasteries, seized the Flanders (Netherlands) population… How heroic!

And what a beautiful alliance between Protestants and Muslims. lol.

Not him, but he was obviously joking, however there is some truth to what he says.

I interact with a lot of protestants, and when we get into a discussion about what laws they ought to follow, they always say that the "law" has been fulfilled, meaning it is null and void, and by grace alone are we saved.

OMG a Unitarian Credobaptist with a big mouth! Let's forget about making him a Persona Non Grata. Let's arrest him while he's passing by, jail him for 7 years by a legal assumbly that the citizens of Geneva often commit suicide to avoid facing, and slow cook him in green wood for it!

>>853545

Says the ones who excommunicated and made war with the rest of the Pentarchy for wanting a seat of power instead of the seat of honor.

>>853375

He was a masterful organizer. Built Geneza's moral law system with a married church/state. 3 days's jail time for smiling while at a baptism. Those who liked him, loved him. Those who didn't, hated him, and were hated by him. City became a paranoid 1984 tattle-tale town. He believed (like many) that vows make the marriage, not the whole "one-flesh" principle, so "pre-marital" sex was a death penalty.

I am a Trinitarian Credobaptist who represents the historical position of holding to the New Testament, and while the unitarian is wrong, so is the state church for giving him a less harsh punishment than God surely would have given him, assuming he had been unrepentant.
