A Catholic shouldn't venture to tell a Baptist who is and isn't a Baptist. To say they shouldn't isn't an insult, and claiming insult is just a deflection.

Why do Baptist feel they can tell Catholics who is and isn't a Catholic? To be Catholic, you have to accept all of the Catholic belief, anyone who rejects any part of it is how Catholics define Heresy.

I checked out that site and I don't agree that Mary is God but they have good points on some things. A priest is supposed to point out the difference between the Jesus who is God and the "Jesus" of the corrupt worldly culture. Ironically, I saw a Protestant subreddit recently make this distinction. It's false anyways. The scripture itself praises the Bereans who even put the Apostles themselves to the test, to ascertain from the scriptures whether they were telling the truth:

"Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." - Acts 17:11

These men weren't even believers yet. It took their own examination of the scriptures for them to believe Paul.

Same goes for saints like Justin Martyr and Augustine. They were lost in philosophical examination (and Augustine in outright heresy with Manicheanism), and it was only when they heard a voice say "Take and read" did they finally come to the truth.

Peter and Paul were sinners, but God uses those of his elect as instruments of righteousness regardless. But also who among the 47 translators of the KJV was convicted of murder?

You realize the KJV largely agrees with such earlier translations as the Geneva Bible and Bishops' Bible in probably 99.8% of places? The main decisive translator for English Bibles was actually William Tyndale, although he never got to finish his work because he was betrayed and killed by the sanhedrin of his day. His work influenced a lot of the subsequent translations (although it was based on earlier T.R. and it was cut short, and since 1536 many more scholars have done more thorough research and checking on the Greek and Hebrew word cases).

I also do not think there is anything wrong conceptually with good translation as long as it is accurate. Accuracy is the key. I have done a lot of word studies with the Authorized version (KJV) and found it was consistently very well researched. It was also written to be read aloud in churches, and in this it also does its job well while being accurate. Also with regard to it being accurate in English, you have to remember that many English words were defined by their usage in the KJV, as our dictionaries were written more than a century after 1611. So our language itself has grown up from a young age using the words as they are in that specific translation. Hard to say that all of that which came before is suddenly wrong today unless you are one of these politically correct people who likes to redefine words.
