What does the board think of the Numerous warnings given by our blessed virgin from her apparitions throughout the past few centuries? It seems like we still dont heed them. Will there be a great chastisement/punishment from god if they aren’t heeded in time?

From the tone of Akita it sounds like the chastisement is inevitable at this point and only praying to Mary in unceasing prayer for intercession so that she will beg Jesus to tell the Lord to not bring it will help us.

Long story short I hope you are all keeping Blessed candles, sacramentals, Crucifixes, and Rosary nearby and giving them to loved ones. Also make sure you stay in a state of grace.

Make particular note of La Salette, Fatima, Akita, and Our Lady of Good Council. The Blessed Mother of God warns of our very times.

it almost always happens, when the hermit warned the Pope, when the prophets preached to ancient Israel, and when the apostles preached to the Jews none of them listened and destruction fell on them because of it, the only time I can remember this not happening is in the book of Jonah.

Its probably coming rather soon, things are only getting worse and without some sort of large scale conversion things will never start to get better until a chastisement hits.

If not, God have mercy on those people who live through those times because they must be nightmarish

Very sceptical about this whole "great chastisement" thing tbh

What will this chastisement look like? War? Pestilence? Natural disaster? So business as usual then. If the chastisement is just more war and more natural disasters, then the punishment is really nothing more than making someone who was not originally going to suffer suffer, as well as all the other people who were going to suffer either way. We know for a fact that earthly suffering befalls people whether or not they are wicked or righteous. The story of Job proves that. So it is hard to accept that God would use earthly suffering as a punishment for sin.

Furthermore, asking humanity as a whole to turn away from sin is pretty optimistic. Humanity is just as fallen as ever. Can we really say we are more or less sinful from one age to the next? Again, I am talking about humanity as a whole, not individuals. Some are righteous, some are wicked. Just as it has always been, and always will be.

Even if these apparitions are worthy of belief, there are some things that don't add up.

3 days of darkness, fire from th sky, worse then Noah’s flood, the dead will be so desolate they will envy the dead, the good and the sinners will be shown no mercy, so few Priests and Holy people all we will have is the Rosary and Crucifixe.

Pretty stinking bad.

Is the Chastisement the same as the Tribulation or is it before it?

>So it is hard to accept that God would use earthly suffering as a punishment for sin.

God does it all the time. Do you not know our God is a God of Justice? That he delivers Punishment for crimes committed against him or were Sodom and Genmorah just a metaphor?

>asking humanity as a whole to stop sinning is overly optimistic

You have not read the Bible I take it and have no idea what Jesus taught. God does not ask us to stop sinning he demands it of all of us.

Your post is specifically why there WILL be a great chastisement because the hearts of many are empty of faith. Many who claim to believe do not believe. The Lord is angry and now even Jesus has said he will no longer hold back the hand of the Father.

Mary has pleaded with us on behalf of Jesus to turn away from sin for nearly 500 years and few have listened. Pray that the Lord carries you up swiftly when the day comes for if you survive you will weep bitter tears for having failed to listen to the warnings.

God bless you all.

The Chastisement is part of the Tribulation.

Alright, I was wondering, since the reign of the antichrist is not for another few hundred years, and then the second coming. The Chastisement seems to be sooner than that, so it seems like two events.

Yeah Tribulations happen involving the Chastisement as part of them. Faith in God returns in a way never before seen. After some time Faith begins to collapse again because the AntiChrist has appeared and begins swaying people with his “miracles” and demanding people worship him and not Jesus as their savior then the REAL persecutions start.

If it all happens within the next 100 years or next 1000 we do not know for sure. But we have good reason to believe the Tribulations will be completed in our times.

As I said before repeating the message of the Holy Blessed Virgin. Pray the Rosary daily, remain in a state of grace, confess your sins as often as possible, recieve Communion regularly, pray constantly and have faith.

Sodom and Gomorrah were exceptional cases, since those cities were uniformly evil. Not even 10 righteous men could be found among them. Todays society is different. There are plenty of wicked people and good people. Still though, I have no doubt trials and tribulations are coming, but they will visit us whether we are righteous or wicked. The good will suffer as much as the bad because that's how it has always been. Being good isn't going to protect you from earthly suffering. That should be known by now. Being good has otherworldly rewards, but you still have to endure the burden of existence.

And I still believe that humanity as a whole will never turn away from sin. It never has. Never in the history of humanity has there been a civilisation that has been "good". They have all been filled with corruption and faithlessness and evil. The best we can do is try and focus on ourselves and not delude ourselves into thinking humankind will ever be good.

I have no doubt that God is seething with anger towards humanity. But he has already inflicted the worst punishment on us he could, to make us bear the hardships of life, to till the soil and endure childbirth, and endure death. What more can he do?

We're experiencing the chastisement right now, anon. There is very little worse punitively the modern world could get.

Here is a good watch that explains our current situation.

If this is the Chastisement then praise the Lord we got off relatively light compared to some.

St Francis of Assisi. Required the Pope having a divine revelation before he would listen to him.

Has the Holy See given approval to the message of Akita? Forgive my misunderstanding as I am new to the Catholic faith but the message here feels like Mary is portrayed as the Mercy of Jesus, who should be equally Just and Merciful, and blurs the lines between Holy Mother of God, and goddess.

Then Cardinal Ratzinger (current pope Emeritus Benedict XVI) approved of the Akita apparition. If it's good enough for him it's good enough for me.

No she is saying the Father really really wants to cast judgement on us but Jesus is holding him back in Fátima. By Akita it sounds like Jesus is no longer willing to hold back the Fathers judgement because you the willing and unremorseful amount of sin being committed at the point of Akita only Mary is still willing and capable of convincing Jesus through her prayers and our prayers to hold back the full Judgement of God.

Akita has nothing to do with salvation or divine mercy it is all about the coming Punishment God will enact for our disobedience.
