Hello anons, I have tried praying to Jesus successfully up to last Thursday. Now I am spiritually burned out and can't feel anything. I was doing SO GOOD and then Friday I fell into Lust after burnout. WHAT DO I DO? I was SO AT PEACE more then ever before. I want to feel again, but i'm spiritually drained. AHHHHHH

Confess and go on with your struggle. Don't sin again.

But I'm not Catholic yet!!!! who do I confess to? How do i prevent this from happening? I was praying for a couple weeks straight and drained myself to the core. I also may have made a duplicate thread because It didn't seemed to load at first. I feel overwhelmed and exhausted, both spiritually and due to walking in the blazing sun for 3+ hours. I don't feel right.

Accept that you will always fall short. You have deafened your heart in your prayer, and this darkness you feel is good. It is the darkness of doubt. Keep struggling and rejoice.

First of all, don't listen to prots like >>820693 who are too prideful to confess your sins. Second of all, don't despair. No one is beyond God's forgiveness and you're not a reprobate. Are you baptized? If so, you can confess, but I suggest you take some time to read more on the Sacrament of Penance, and then go talk to your local priest. Actually, in my first confession, I was in a place similar to yours, I felt horrible after falling to impurity.
If you're not baptized, go ask your nearest Church for Baptism. Don't freak out, but don't trick yourself into thinking that masturbation is not a big deal. Meditate on Our Lady's most chaste life and ask her to pray for your soul. I suggest you read on the Rosary.
Stay strong, anon! No temptation is big enough that it can't be conquered.

It depends on your country, you'd have to talk to your priest. I am not American, but RCIA seems like a good deal, because you can receive also the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation, which will strengthen your faith.

Thank you, /christian/ is full of helpful people. More than I experienced in back in school. They destroyed my faith when i was 12. now with Christ I can be free to love again, and to truly be happy! with work of course! I feel a lot better now, thanks!

Praying with the expectation to "feel something" or be "at peace" is spiritual masturbation. Prayer might make you feel like crap. It might make you feel really good. More often, it might not make you "feel" anything in particular. You should pray to please God, not for any personal reason except to do the will of God. This is the reason you need to establish a small but consistent prayer rule and do it every single day. If you're starting from absolute zero, I would recommend you make certain to pray one "Our Father" every morning and another Our Father every night. If you have more time and more things to say to God, say them after your mandatory Our Father. Do this no matter how bad or good you feel, without fail. Don't jump ahead to any extensive praying that you can't maintain, and don't fall into the trap of a highly flexible and poorly-defined prayer schedule. God wants consistency from you. He wants you to seek refuge in Him during the bad times, and thank Him for the good times. That is the fruit of unconditional faith.

Now that is what I've been doing. Feel a lot better. I want to please the Lord anyway I can, anon. I am doing A LOT better because of him. I can control temptation a lot better. I can control my emotions better anon. I went to dinner recently. I was complementing the waitress on her hair, WHICH I'VE NEVER been able to do before. I ate dinner with better manners and spoke much clearer and courteousness. And I'm someone known for being a slob before returning to the faith
