It used to be boiled down to
>West = bad
>East = good
Now because PatBart is friends with El Papa it has boiled down to
>West and Greeks bad
>Moscow good
Moscow and anyone schismed with them are usually slavs of some sort. So naturally the American converts try to identify with Slavs more because traditional American identity is mostly protestant.

In recent times it derives from the Communist propaganda. Commies were pushing the narrative that the west is degenerate in contrast to the Holy USSR. Now modern Russia kept that ideology and just slapped some Orthodoxy over it (although the unholy merging of communism and Orthodoxy started by Stalin). But this ideology has gone through various phases historically.
Anyway in Russia today nobody cares about this stuff because people are more interested in how they'll get a visa to leave that place. This propaganda is targeted more towards radical American protestants like Dyer.

Of course now that Ukraine left the Russian sphere entirely, having gained their autocephaly, this propaganda is out in full force again. Ukraine was the most important country for the Third Rome ideology, without her there's no russkiy mir.

Well Rome and Greece can trace their lineage all the way back to Christ and his disciples alone. Russia needs a quick stop at the Greece before it reaches the beginning.

>Slavophilia among Eastern Orthodox
Easy :
Jewish messianism but replace Jews with Russians and you have with slavophilic Western orthos what protestant zionists are.
Rejection of the pope is basically a kind of the satanic "non serviam" : a form of pride.
These people, like Russians themselves, think Russia to be The Church, i.e. the chosen people.
Instead of thinking a divine, Catholic Church, they think of a human-centered one, because they see Russians as a supernatural people. This means that the criteria for salvation isn't even to be part as the Church as in being baptized, having Faith and accepting it by glorifying God and going to the Sacraments.
This means the criteria for salvation is to be part of the Church as in being Russian. That is why you see priests nowaday talking about the "evil nazis" and glorifying COMMUNISTS (i.e. officially ATHEISTS) as "crusaders" and "Christians".
With this idea, no non-Russian can be saved, therefore the whole world must submit to the "Third Rome". That explains the panslavist push, but also what it logically became : a laicized messianism, bolshevism.
The same happened with France in the XVIIIth Century : the Gallicans were thinking of French as a sort of chosen people, its king as the real pope, and the whole Christian world had logically to be submitted to France to be really Christian. This gallican messianism caused by national pride forbade the bull against masonry to be published, leading to its massification among the elites (which is logical since they were infused with the spirit of pride), leading to the Revolution of 1789 and its messianic spirit.
1789 and 1917 had quite the same spiritual causes, quite the same ideological results (messianism, universal ideological imperialism).

John Maximovich, you snake, was a ROCOR bishop. He was a cradle orthodox and he died more than 50 years ago. But when Rome was lost to schism and Constantinople to slavery, Moscow and all Rus remained. it is something to cherish and respect, but if you think the attention to Russia is some sort of Zionism you are either a simpleton or a deceiver. Russia is so important to Orthodox because of its history of saints and their scholarship which permiated the orthodox world in the 18th and 19th Century when most of the Balkans were in darkness and their scholarship destroyed by Turk thugs.

According to the heretical Third Rome doctrine, Russia became the center of Christianity after the sack of Constantinople. Which is ironic because Constantinople, even when under the Ottomans, never stopped re-evangelizing the Russians still does and saving them from the many heresies they fell by being isolated from the rest of the Orthodox church. See the story of St Maximus the Greek who went to Russia with a delegation from Mt Athos in the 16th century, a time when Russian priest and monks were no more than astrologers and fortune tellers.

>Maximos arrived in Russia at a time when great ignorance was prevalent among the people, with the result that superstitions, magic, astrology and self-indulgence were regarded as indissolubly bound up with the Orthodox Christian Faith. But apart from this, the sacred texts of Holy Scripture and the Fathers had been seriously corrupted by irresponsible copyists, which made the work of the Church even more difficult.
>However, apart from his literary work, Maximos showed great zeal in working for the moral improvement and enlightenment of the Russian people by means of his writings and sermons, firmly drawing out the essence and the deeper content of the Orthodox Faith, as against the superstitions rife among the Russian people at that time.
>However, naturally enough, the reputation and prestige which Maximos had gained as a result of his learning, the favour which he enjoyed with the Tzar and his conflicts with the prevalent superstitions and pagan ideas of the time were unwelcome to certain ecclesiastical circles, who, moved to envy, awaited their opportunity to take their revenge.

That's what Russian Christianity in the 16th century was. This is also the period that the Third Rome heresy was created.

It's still funny to me as a concert to even think that Russia is in any way a "Third Rome". Moscow tries to claim Kiev as the capital of all Slavs and therefore the capital of the Russian Church (even though it has long since moved to Moscow and they've thus surrendered any claim to Kiev). By their own logic, Kiev is the "third Rome" and Moscow would be the fourth. On top of that, the numerous schismatics and erroneous schools that have arisen in Russia are ridiculous compared even to Constantinople back in 500-800 AD. >>820372
ROCOR, that Church which was created after Russia was lost to Communism and when Moscow was reinstated sold out their own flock to the Stasi. Hence Russian Orthodox Church - Outside of Russia. ROCOR which was also legitimized by the EP of Constantinople.

You mean the quasi-protestant stuff dating from after Peter the Great's religious reform, the mason-like stuff of the XVIIIth and the kantians of the XIXth ?

No. Subjectivism.
In 1789 there were nearly no Jews in France.
The Revolution was piloted by masons, but the people welcomed it and fought for its ideals during the Republic and afterwards with Napoléon (who said "I am the revolution").
In 1917 they were not in positions of power and even if very important in its set up, the Revolution wouldn't have been a success if the Russian elites and people were not at least partly accomplices of this.
A regime doesn't last 70 years if all the people are in opposition with it.
Remember the word of Joseph de Maistre : "Every country has the government it deserves".
It works with every cucked country. No matter how strong a minority is, the majority can always revolt. There still is free will, even if Jews and masonic lodges are plotting against the people.

At least the church in Russia has some balls as well as influence over the state. Russia might be sick, but the West is dying. Our civilizations crumble to pieces. We will be replaced by stronger peoples. It is too late to stop. This is God punishing us for creating one of the most satanic cultures in history and then trying to export it to others (for example, spreading communism to Russia, creating many of the problems they have today). I'm not a russophile or a shill. I'm not even orthodox, honestly. I'm just a westerner who sees our modern culture through a christian lence, not a petty nationalistic one.
