If it helps you find time to read scripture, then go for it. Just don't restrict it to only that time.
I've considered printing and laminating various prayers I want to memorize in latin or portions of the Bible to read in the shower. Dr. Bronners' soap bottles don't make for very spiritually nourishing reading.

What about other edifying texts than scripture? I've been using the Desert Fathers as my bathroom reader since it's in short easily digestible sayings (no pun intended) and I've only really read it while on the toilet. I'm certainly not opposed to reading it anywhere else in principle but I haven't. Is this disrespectful to the Fathers?
