I gained a lot of respect for Francis after this. Plus i just learned that the relics of St John Chrysostom and St Gregory the Theologian were returned to Constantinople in 2004 by Pope John Paul. From now on i'll filter better all slanderous news regarding Francis.

The article spoke of unity between the two Churches. I have a couple of questions:
1) Why isn't Pope Francis fostering warmer relations with the Russian Church? Why only the Church of Constantinople?
2) How would unity look like? Would the Pope relinquish his post? Would the Orthodox submit to Rome? In addition, if unity is to happen (which I hope does), the Catholic Church would unite with whom? Constantinpole? Russia? Orientals? All of the above?

Constantinople is the Ecumenical Patriarch, he represents all of the East on an international level. Not Bart or Bergoglio's fault Russia schismed away from their own church

How were you going to venerate them they were kept in the Pope’s private Chapel?

No Pope is perfect Francis has said and done some foolish things but I still believe that good is working through him with the Holy Spirit. If anything his actions have done more to show us the true traitors and true faithful of mother Church. Pray for Francis for he carries the Church during one of the most trying times in her history.

Just the Eastern Orthodox, Orientals separated in 451 do who knows how you fix that one.
Orthodox would have to Submit to Rome and accept Rome’s Doctrine. Though The Bishop of Constantinople would probably be the Second amongst equals or something. Basically the Pope has the final say but the opinions of the Bishop of Constantinople must be heard before any decision is made.
Orthodox would retain their traditions though and recieve a few new ones.
In a perfect world obviously.
One thing for sure it would steer the Roman Church hard towards traditionalism with the sudden gain of millions of Orthodox Christians and probably force Vatican III also that they could hammer out doctrinal questions such a Reconciliation would involve. One more thing it would put the EO in a very interesting place with the full backing of the RCC and those who scream from the minarets.

But isn't "primus inter pares" contrary to what the CC believes? As far as I know, only the Orthodox Church still acknowledges this terminology.

This is tragic. What authority does Francis have to give schismatics the bones of the first Pope? Does he have no regard for the sacred, or tradition?

Long story short:
Moscow got butthurt that Constantinople gave Ukraine autocephaly (ie. Independence from Moscow). Now Moscow is leading a schism away from Constantinople thus fracturing The Eastern churches over politics.
There was a Ukraine Drama thread a while ago. I'd check there for more details
