True but it's hard to get people to address hedonism, because people naturally go for "what feels good" and the culture of restriction and control is soo far gone, so until they realize themselves through experience how terrible something is they don't realize it. And sometimes that takes forever. Look how hard it is to convince the so called "conservatives" that pornography or masturbation is bad for you (you'll never convince a lefty). Just addressing hedonism isn't a good answer, especially if they're in the phase where it still 'feels good' in some sense.

From what I've noticed is that they tend to react more to ideas like "that's somebodies daughter" and things like that. I don't know why it is. Same with the reaction to LGBTs and kids. I think somehow the idea of family is still highly engrained in us, especially conservatives, and that might be the way to reach them.

If we wanna address porn we have to really drill down that that's someone's daughter. It's disgusting to be looking at someone's daughter like that, would you want people doing this to your daughter? And then pivot from there to talking about how this stuff screws with your mind.

That's the real big thing I've never understood. It's very clear that politicians are all bought and paid, so obviously they would never speak out against porn. But why is the normalfriend conservative base not avidly and actively campaigning against porn. I thought that family values come first, so why is the defense of the free market the first thing that comes, and not standing up for a moral society.

Cause they're thoroughly addicted to porn too. They whack off and watch porn and like to see girls on social media and so on. I think we have to phrase it in a way to make them change up. I think the whole someone's daughter, would you want your daughter to be treated this way thing, I think that might get through to them. People always feel a way about their family. Yeah, it's very likely its part of the whole problem with conservatism wherein they work within the mindset and framework of modern liberalism and secularism while trying to argue for some milktoast social conservatism and shilling for markets.

As for successful strategies, that's very reliant on who you're talking to, I don't find conversing with people online to ever be productive. It's impersonal and if you try to confront them in the thought-space they post in you're going to get downvoted or brigaded. Best thing to do is to talk to people you know irl who maybe are dissatisfied with Trump or conservatism and talk to them about hedonism and so on.

I had an account on The_Donald where I actively tried to move the Overton window in with social issues and I was pretty successfully getting everyone in those threads riled up. But I got banned for criticizing Israel.

What I learned from that is that most younger people just have never heard any counter arguments against sodomy, and the entire culture is pro sodomy. So it's a no brainer for them to be pro sodomy. After all "of it doesn't hurt anyone, who cares? Freedumbs!" Honestly, just bringing a non spergy attitude and argument to these people who are open to these kind of things is more than enough to at least let them start to unwrap the propaganda they've been fed all their lives. Break the echo chamber.

I think another way to get the attention of our redditfriends over at The_Donald is to point out how their enemies connect. Let them consider how the same people who got their sub restricted support the hundreds of degenerate sodomite subreddits more than they value free speech.
