The vocal part for me is automatic, don't focus on the words. Call to your mind images of the things you are meditating on, or look at images of it, and think about the virtues displayed in them. Adapt it to your life and how you could display those, repeat for 15 decades.

Think about the scene, the virtues displayed in it, and how you can apply them. For instance, when meditating on the Agony of the Garden, view Jesus submitting to the will of God and think of how you can do the same

The mystery you just announced before praying the decade. For example the third joyful mystery is the nativity; meditate on it and play the scene in your head, try and make yourself a participant in the moment.

Yes. Catholics need to read the Bible otherwise they will have trouble with the prayers and dedications they do. It is also plenary indulgence to read Holy Scripture piously for half an hour also meeting the other requirements but yes Catholics NEED to read the Bible with all 73 books.

Also you sound like you are just getting started so don’t worry to much it is more about developing the habit early on the rest will follow if you recite it daily.
For a beginner just focus on each mystery as basically as possible then overtime develop deeper meditation with the help of Scrupture.

I suggest OP get the Laudate app. Their digital rosary comes with good, evocative little bits of text for each mystery, making it easy to picture in your kind.
And you can learn the Latin text with the app. I like Latin so I prefer that.
