Most American Catholics have foreign priests brought in from somewhere else to minister to them because no American care enough to enter the priesthood.

Street preaching is obvious work for a denomination with the "once saved, always saved", Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide doctrines.
This means that after you have a conversation of about an hour, you could convince someone about Christ's existence and then call it a day because 1) he's now saved for all eternity, 2) the only guidance he needs is a bible and that's very easy to get and 3) the only thing he needs to do is believe.
With catholicism (or any other apostolic denomination for that matter) you have to invest a lot more in a person to teach them the commandments, basic doctrines and nowadays help him find a good church too.
Plus, street preaching was never done like they do in America.
It was done in synagogues, on forums and most of all not with the whole judgemental tone but with a "Christ died on the cross for your sins out of love!".
Just screeching to some homosex people on the street that they're haram doesn't work.
Sure it's completely true but that's not how you convert people.

This. Catholics know that heckling and screaming at passerbys on the streets does more harm than good. I had a Prot street preacher stop me on the street once, holler random Bible verses at me, and all it did was make me view Christians in a more negative light. Instead, most practicing Catholics act in a charitable manner and form great numbers in peaceful marches, which leads to others taking them more seriously. Evangelicals are typically prideful and feel the need to scream at others and wave obnoxious signs at others during their marches, which only worsens the image of Christianity.

I remember when "Brother Jed" came to my campus a while back. He stood outside the student union with two other women screaming at the campus homos about sexuality and rock music. My buddies and I (all Catholic), went down there to see the show, as well to poke a bit of fun at Jed for being a Prot.
The point being is that Catholics aren't street preachers because by-and-large, they know that a confrontational approach simply doesn't work with a public disinterested/opposed to Christianity of any sort.

We don't preach on the street because you aren't going to annoy someone into going to church. We have evangelization and outreach programs, but we don't just stand and yell on street corners because nobody want's to deal with that.

The Catholic Church in America has a vast network of media and advertisement for evangelization so they don't need to do goofy things like street preaching. They have radio stations that air EWTN around the clock.

This. Catholicism purfuses American culture, and if you have Catholic relatives you can get all your questions answered.
What I found awesome and funny was how I was talking to my Dad about Catholicism, and he was raised Catholic - despite being an Atheist supposedly, I got him to say he was a Catholic and he explained that you never stop being a Catholic.
I have no transportation, and no one locally can help me out so I can't start RCIA, but I consider myself a Catholic-to-be.
Street preaching looks undignified compared to how elegantly Catholics bring people into the faith. Catholics make it feel like becoming a Jedi or something, and culture is filled with little reminders of Catholic culture specifially - Protestantism feels more like a LARP.
