>1. There is about 6 or so years of study into theology and the like. There is a bit of a "mental" evaluation by a Priest or Bishop or something, I use the word mental loosely. Its just to see if you have the aptitude to be a Priest, same thing with Nuns. And of course you need to be celibate, and not a homosexual. (That hasn't stopped many of them getting through anyway)
>2. You get assigned basically to anywhere that is in need of a Priest. Pretty sure theres a preference to put you in local area, but sometimes they may just chuck you somewhere new to give you that experience.
>3. A single Church. I'm sure there will be situations where you have joined masses with the other Priests of the other Churches.
Most of my information came from a mate in the seminary who will be ordained a Priest at the end of August. This is New Zealand, not sure if it changes anywhere else.
