It's a shame that verse is always misused by liberal Christians/atheists/Jews/etc. to water down Christianity. Yes, I'll embrace the neighbor as a brother or sister, but I will never embrace or even tolerate the neighbor's sins. That includes:
<thy slothfulness
<thy homosexuality
<thy terrorism
<thy thuggery
<thy criminal trespass
<thy usury, subversion, persecution, and other uncharitable behavior
<thy idolatry
<thy heresy
<thy blasphemy
Now, not all Muslims are terrorists, not all black people are thugs, etc., however the people who spout "Love thy x neighbor" the loudest are the ones who want to see Muslim terrorist attacks swept under the rug, or thugs like Michael Brown attack white people without them fighting back, or homosexuality (an abomination to the Lord) become normalized, or illegal immigrants trespass into our countries and be fed, clothed, housed, and paid without them working. I cannot "love" that behavior in good conscience.
>Jesus didn't make exceptions
Apparently Pastor Jim (or whoever put up that stupid sign) forgot the parts where Jesus tore up a synagogue, said homosexuals, addicts, and other idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of God, and told his disciples that many who call upon the name of the Lord will be rejected ("I never knew you - depart from me").
