According to certain Church Fathers, e.g. St. John Chrysostom, yes. According to "official" doctrine, however, sodomy and murder both fall beneath the category of mortal sin, so in that sense they are considered equivalent even in today, despite what liberal Catholics wish to believe.

Depends on how you see it.

On one hand, you did something very VERY grave but nothing trumps taking away the Gift from God.
