What does /christian/ think of this book? On the surface, it's a anti-reactionary book, as it's protagonist is portrayed as a bumbling antiquated fool, with all of the superstitions that are usually ascribed to Christians. The rest of the cast however, isn't cast in a positive light either, with Myrna being portrayed as equally as degenerate and superstitious, but instead of being a follower of the church she follows Freud and the like.
Im not sure what to make of this book other than it being the literature snobs perfect novel on account of how often it makes jokes about things that would fly over the casual readers head.
