I can't say if it's a hoax.. but the QAnon movement stupidly attacks Catholics a lot.. and ascribes evil to Catholic images (for example, Q posted a picture of Gloria Vanderbilt to demonstrate some occult connections because of a artwork behind her.. but it was just a Mexican depiction of Mary!!!). Whatever Q meant, the fundies who follow him went off the deep end with their speculations.. even after people explained the Christian imagery behind the meaning of the art.
They do this all of the time. They're all "Constantine invented the Catholic/Orthodox church" variety of retards, who go overboard in ascribing anything out of their sphere as evil.
Of course, Gloria Vanderbilt might have been caught up in questionable things (such as the case goes with the extremely wealthy), but as far as I know, she was a Catholic once.. and then later embraced Buddhism or something. But Q tards would lead you to believe she's some grand priestess in a secret pagan fag cult who sacrifices children.
And this is pretty much typical of his commentators. They go to extremes in their condemnation of things with little evidence. They literally think the whole world is run by ghouls, baby eaters, and secret alien cabals. Q isn't helping here, true or not.
On top of that, a lot of them attach themselves to the "Mark Taylor prophecies", and that's another subset of Protestant retardation (retardation gone awry even more than usual). He ascribes to all of the baby eater stuff, as well as says all churches are evil because they're tax exempt and have 501c3 status (and thus, they're part of the "Baal/Beast" system and traitors of Christ), and thinks all broadcasts are "Satan's frequency" because of 440Hz.. or something. I'm a musician so I've seen the 440Hz meme from equally retarded New Agers who think it was created by the Nazis to mind control us. And that's why Rock music is evil.. or something. It's just a tuning. It means nothing. If you sing Amazing Grace with your guitar tuned to 440 does that make it evil too? Ugh.
