What is there that I should know before attending mass? I am planning to go to an Orthodox Church on Sunday, but don't want to mess up and/or do anything blasphemous. How does a usual liturgical procedure operate?What do the attendants actually do during the service? How should I take communion, should I even? Please help

Be presentable.

Just have attention to what is sung and preached, and follow what everyone else is doing.

Pray, kneel, cross themselves, sing along.

Depends on the period of the liturgy.

Again, just do what everyone is doing at that moment.

Well, you'll find out. Just do what others are doing regarding standing or kneeling.
