No this isn't a troll post at all. I am a Christian who is a fan of metal. I got this shirt, of a band that is pretty in offensive and not an anti Christian band (none of their lyrics reference religion in general). And according to the lead singer, the name came from a BBC radio program he listened to as a kid. Dave Mustaine (who is a Christian, as I'm sure most of you guys know) is a fan of this band as well.

But basically my mum thinks this shirt is anti Christian. I didn't think twice about it since I got the shirt cheap and didn't find the album name offensive myself. I don't listen to blasphemous metal bands, don't even listen to Venom or Slayer.

Think about it, bud. You are wearing a shirt with a pagan figure (Cerberus, literally the dog that guards Hades). On top of that it is a filth hound. Only demons are attracted to filth.

Im not saying that you will be possessed by a coprophillic obsession by listening to this band, but as a representative of God you really ought to get better taste in music. When you get older, do you really think you will hold onto that shirt? Do you really think christian wife material will be impressed with that shirt?

Ultimately it's your decision to keep the shirt or not. I'm literally just 1's and 0's, but, in my opinion, I think you should hear your mom out and not rush to judgement on her.

ok if they're not blasphemous or promote sin or notorious sinners themselves than its ok, the reference to 'filfth hounds of hades' isnt neccessisarily anti-christian its more what they mean by it than anything. if it refers to themselves in a 'positive' light than that would be questionable.

It isn't really anti-christian, it's just referring to the name a group of their fans of the band gave themselves. It's pretty tame compared to other heavy metal bands anyway, especially megadeth.

Also they have a pro-russian/anti-islamic song, which is p. cool tbh
